I love the application WeatherBug, but I do not like having the weather notification on my lock screen. Has anyone figured out how to turn off the lock screen notification for WeatherBug, but still keeping the status bar notification? I know I can go to lock screen settings and turn off notifications, but then it turns off all notifications not just WeatherBug... I still want to see email, text, Facebook, etc...

Is there any application that enables to see / dismiss notifications without opening a slider on locked screen ?
Any of the lockscreen alternative apps. They let you drop down the status bar with screen locked to check all notifications without having to unlock. The one thing about that is the volume keys awake the screen when using them I use ringer mode locker to work around that issue.
Handcent sms, or sms popup will do that, allow you to read and respond to messages with a locked screen, but not email, FB or twitter.
There are two types of Calendar Notifications in Note 3.
[1] Alert - This will display full screen notification with Dismiss and Snooze options, just like the Clock Alarm. It will turn the display on to display the full screen notification. If your phone is on and you are in some other app, it will still overlap on the current app and display full screen notification.
[2] Status bar notification - This will not turn the display on. It will be just the status bar notification, just like the gmail notification. If your phone is on and you are in some other app, it will not interrupt the current app.
No matter what settings I choose, I always get the full screen alert. Even if I choose the Status bar notification, it always displays full screen alert. Is there any solution to this?

Anytime you have a calendar alert per event that says "Popup", it's going to do that.

I do not see any "pop-up" option on my Note 3. I sync my calendar with Google calendar and I have default notification set as pop-up in Google Calendar. Do you mean to say that setting on the web interface is causing it?

Yes, that alert for the event is what I was referring to. I disable that by default on mine and my phone doesn't have that popup.
I also sync my Gmail events to my Note 3 using the default calendar app.
If that doesn't work, try downloading the Google calendar, remove your gmail from the default calendar and see if it still does it?
Hi, is there any way to control what notifications appear on the lock screen? It's now either show or don't show at all (without a password).
Basically what I'd like is for notifications icons to still show on the lock screen status bar, but not show the notifications on the lock screen itself. I used to be able to do this on Kitkat.
On that note, any way to add lockscreen widgets?
Thanks.
Anyone?
Do you want to hide the notification information? You can check the option for "hide sensitive notification content" and it will just show the application name. I don't know how the phone decides what is sensitive, but you can also block notification content on a per-app basis. The results would look like the image below. The lockscreen statusbar is not meant to hold notifications. You can change the lockscreen to something else, but widgets seem to have vanished.
So far my only pain point with this phone is that specific notifications don't show on the lock screen.
So far I can say Spotify and slack for sure
Is there a setting for this somewhere that I'm missing?
Running the ww rom on tencent phone
Edit: I figured out how to manually enable the lock screen notifications
Does it allow u to see what the notifications is? Are just the icon of it?
Do you see all the notifications on the lock screen?. Because i can only see the notifications of social apps(wechat,whatsapp,facebook..). other apps notifications i can only see them from the notification shade and not the lock screen( I mean no notification message or icon shown on the lock screen).

You have to enable it on a per-app basis by going to the notification settings for each app you want.
Not uncommon for Chinese phones

Yeah I have done that, actually you have to do it on the notification settings in the settings page, at the same time inside each app notification settings section.
First sorry for my English. I checked all the apps to see that they are allowed to show notifs on lock screen. I checked Privacy settings, notifications settings, basically I checked everything what's needs to be done but i still can't see notifications on lock screen. Please Help...
It's in Always-On Display I think. Keep in mind you'll get small icons at best. If you want normal Android notifications, you need to get rid of the ColorOS lock screen. I think it's com.coloros.onekeylockscreen.

Thanks for answer, can you tell me how I can get rid of this thing? I can't find this thing in my apps list
Through the debugger. More info there : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/debloat-guide-2-0-f-11.4203903/
Swipe up on lock screen too view notifications. If you want pop up notification on lock screen then go to settings> notification and status bar> and then toggle off pull down on lock screen for notifications.
