[Q] LG G Watch R wrist sores - LG G Watch R

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if anybody else is experiencing this but I've had my device a few months now and whenever I have either done a workout/been hot I get a red mark on my wrist where the heartbeat sensor is.
I never use the heartbeat sensor so I don't think its because I've been using it, but the mark can last quite a few hours after I've taken it off.
Has anybody else experienced this? (I haven't had this issue with normal watches)

No problems here, although I have never been known to have a workout!

No problems here also but I use a lens plastic protector . maybe you're allergic to something the lens glass is made of. Try to use a lens plastic protector like I do and it can solve that.
Like you said you haven't used the heart rate sensor / light so it shouldn't be that.
Probably its the lens glass chemical cover like I said above.
If doesn't get better try to use a NATO strap as those block the heart sensor light and make it impossible to use.

Hi
I ride MTB regularly and no problem.

This happened to me once when I fell asleep with it on. I think I slept on my left arm and it just got a little hot and burnt me. I've noticed the watch just get warm sometimes. Hasn't happened since, though. But I have kept it a bit loose, especially when it feels like it's getting hot.

I just got my g watch r today and I plan on working out with it on. Have you have any more issues with red marks on your wrist?

I have been yes, I may contact LG as I don't really want to cover the sensor with anything as this may also cause irritation.

I have a similar issue with my Moto 360. As you can see in the attached picture I have a bit of a Moto 360 Tan line.. but inside there is a noticeable red patch. I haven't used the heartbeat sensor for at least a week.

I have that same sore. I hope they can address this.

[Q] HTC ONE Light Bleed

I bought htc one of phones4u and i notice when watching videos or something with a dark background, light bleeds from the home button on to the screen. The light bleed comes from the bottom right hand corner of screen, looks like there is missing a bit of seal from the screen so the light comes through, so i arranged for an exchange as i wanted it perfect and it was annoying, anyway just received my second handset and guess what still the same problem, It is not the same phone if any of you guys thinking this!! As the problem with this new phone is the light is bit more on the side and worse. So two phones both with the same problem.
Have any of you guys had this problem?? as i have scanned the internet and i cannot see anything about this issue. Surely i can't be the only one!!
I will be sending this back for a third time if it happens again will probably be getting the s4.
I have not had this problem nor heard anyone else with it. Can you get a picture?

I just tried this. I found I could see a tiny bit of leakage from the back button. But only if I went into the room with no windows, all lights off, and gave my eyes about 20 seconds to adjust....then I could "just" see it. I would never ever have noticed this in normal usage and I imagine some will not be able to see it on my phone at all.
The time i finish work it is pretty dark, so this is why i notice it. Mine is def worse than yours you can clearly see it best way to do it is to be in a dark room and put brightness right down on htc one, i will try and take a photo later for you guys to see.

I have light leaking where the screen meets the body. Is this common?
My first one had this issue, just like in photo above.
The replacement is perfect light bleeding wise..

I also have this issue like the photo above in the exact same spot. Mine is only a pin hole tho.
Was really surprised to see this topic. My HTC One has easily been the most flawless screen I've ever owned. I've had some light bleeding, even if barely noticeable to anyone who doesn't have severe OCD, on almost every LED-backlist display I've used...until this phone. Even my new Nexus 10, which I settled on after many exchanges, has minor light bleeding.
Just checked my phone, don't have this issue. If possible, I'd contact the seller you purchased it from or get in contact from HTC to check out the warranty.
I came across the same issue. Anybody knows what's the cause of the issue? and how to repair it!
i'd appreciate it!

Moisture under camera lens

Hi, a couple of days ago I installed a screen protector on my gear. It was the wet kind where you have to use the spray. BIG MISTAKE! Even though I was cautious and barely got the screen wet after I was fine I noticed that the camera had condensation under the lens. This is supposed to be "water resistant". I let it dry out over night and the moisture was gone. Them last night I was installing a new entertainment system and was sweating while working. I again noticed condensation. This time o was irritated because this should be normal wear and tear.
I took it back to Verizon since it's been less than two weeks since I got it. They hemmed and hawed for about 30 minutes trying to look the problem up in their system. One ales person accused me of dropping it in water which I definitely did not do. I told them I want paying $300 for a watch that had this problem. Eventually they replaced it.
Anyone else have this problem? From now on Iif it even LOOKS like any moisture will get near this watch I'm taking it off.

From what I have read, others are having the same problem. Seems to be a design issue. So if you are working out or in some situation where you would be sweating you might want to take it off. I hear it will dry out of you leave it off for a while.
Sorry to read of your troubles.
Many of us have a bit of adhesive tape covering the small vent hole behind the camera. This is found on the inside of the watch strap.
I have another it of adhesive ready to cover the speaker vents. That tape is usually just stored on the metal clasp. In the event I get caught in the rain (jogging) then I would quickly cover over the speaker.

I covered that hole with clear packing tape.
I run & sweat every day in mine & have been caught in the rain once & have had no problems whatever.

Good move on your part, and glad you were in your return period.. IMO, that might have been from the spray, I did that on a vid camera and sure enough, it put some liquid inside the lens.. It was replaced by the manufacturer. I learn from that, NO SPRAY, I wipe..

Do you have a screen protector or case that is covering the proximity sensor next to the earpiece? That could be it

I'm willing to bet its the default screen protector. It doesn't have a cutout and makes the proximity sensor go crazy. Your phone thinks its in your pocket which is why active notifications aren't coming on. I had a similar issue with my screen staying off during calls, and not being able to turn the screen back on because the phone thought my face was next to it. Take off the screen protector and I bet your issue goes away.

Yea, I'm willing to bet the sensor is freaking out. And two of you in this thread that have the problem also have the original screen protector on that blocks the sensor, so it seems most likely.

Yeah I still used the original screen protector that is coming out from the box so it still look like a brand new phone . well you know the reason I did that because too lazy to get a new screen protector but don't you think default screen protector that came right from the box is too thin that will make the sensor went crazy ? I mean that's only my thought from logical point of view .

The original screen protector was making my phone go nuts. As soon as i took it off, the issue went away. My issue was that when I was on a call, my face being next to the phone would trigger the screen to go black (as it should). But then when taken away, it would stay black, because the screen protector was messing with the sensor.

[Q] Screen in cold weather?

Hey guys, so I got my Pebble a few days ago and I noticed when driving in the car that there was purple "wrinkles" all over the screen. I turned off the pebble and sure enough they were still there. I took a picture http://imgur.com/OAp5D31
So, once I got inside the house I noticed it disappeared for the most part. I can still see it if I look at the screen from the side but not if I was looking at it head on. I figured it might have to do something with temperature because it was fairly cold in the car. Has this happened to anyone? I'm fine if this is normal, but if this is a defect I would definitely want to exchange it for another one.
I have definitely seen the "wrinkles" you're describing. I'll try to make sure I look at them next time I walk the dog and report back.

Thanks, I'm sitting in a warm room and they seem to be mostly gone. If I tilt the watch though and look at it horizontally I do see like a "wrinkled frame" around the screen. Would you be able to look at it from the same angle and tell me if you get the same thing?

Definitely do, and always have. I believe it's something that all Pebbles experience due to the type of screen.

This is the nature of the screen even though they don't say it's lcd, it seems like these type of screens ha very this effect.
Typically seen on lcd watches and calculator screen.
Normal finding.

Thanks a lot guys. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have a defective unit and have the screen stop working on me later on when it would be too late to exchange/return.
I think there is a polarizing film to add contrast that shows the waves in certain light

I see that when I look at my watch through my polarized sunglasses.. in 65 degree weather. Strange..
I have the new Oakley red based polarized lenses and can't read it at all, but the older gray based I can
Sent from my HSG1279 using Tapatalk 2
I sure see that on my screen too, but not necessarily in cold weather only, here in India in my city, the coldest it gets is 15-16degree Celsius which is 60degree farenheit... Also, my screen is a little yellow-ish at the bottom. Anybody notice that?
I have actually had the same thing. I originally saw it when wearing my polarized Oakley's but I thought if was just the lenses. I actually can barely see my Nexus 5 screen with them on as well.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Its funny their new red based polarized lenses are supposed to be better with polarized LCD screens..I can see my phone better with the new ones but the pebble not so much
Sent from my HSG1279 using Tapatalk 2
My Pebble was the same but I notice that this only happen when you use a white watch face, now I use a dark watch face and the problem is gone. Maybe you guys can try that trick.
Good luck.

Screen question

I noticed a slight ripple effect on the screen while applying a little pressure on the screen. Its not noticeable all of time though. It doesn't bother me too much but I was wondering if its normal or I should do an exchange?
On mine it happens too, so don't wory
Ok thanks...I appreciate your response.
I'm getting this as well, but I don't have to apply any pressure. Just a normal tap anywhere on the screen causes ripples at the very center of the screen. It is mostly noticeable on a dark screen. I'm curious if this is a defect or just the way all new Moto Gs are. I don't want to go through with an exchange if they all do it. Is there anyone with the new Moto G who doesn't have this issue?
At least in my I don't have it.. Only when I push harder..
Even the iPhones have this phenomenon and it's not a fault.
Phones these days don't come with hard glass on top. The semi-flexible glass along with the digitizer are bonded to the LCD. So when you apply enough force/pressure, you can see ripple effects (especially on plain shades like mid grey and navy blue).
My Moto G has the same problem. I took two pictures.
As nielo said I can see the effect especially on mid grey. But I don't need any force. Simple touching the screen somewhere causes the stain on this position. For me it looks like something is pushing from behind on the panel when I use the phone. I am a bit afraid about breaking the screen someday.

A friend of mine has the same phone and no problems with his screen. If you have a look at a disasembled Moto G 2nd you can see that the battery may push against the screen. Exactly at the place where I have the problemes is a spacer between the screen an the battery. If the battery is bad and becomes bigger you will have this ugly stain due to perssure from behind. I sent it back and hope they will replace my battery because I also have only around 2 hours display on time even with lowes brighness. I will report, when I get it back.

I certainly hope that isnt normal, but you are not alone. I have had it on my moto g 2014. i have been through two replacements and even the 3rd has signs of it. Sure it isnt a huge nuisance but it shouldnt be happening on a phone. I have had multiple android phones in the past and none of them exhibited this kind of behavior with the same amount of pressure on it. Certainly didnt help that my rma got stuck for 2 weeks and when they did send me my second replacement the practically just put in a box that it can easily rattle around in...
I just got my Moto G 2nd back from service with a short letter. They wrote that the refurbishment was successful and that my device now meets the manufacturer requirements.
BUT: In fact nothing changed! I still get the ugly stain whenever I touch the screen. Perhaps they replaced the battery... I don't know.
