Hey guys MIUI has released a standalone lockscreen app for other ROM. Still an early release but it works very well.

Check this out! A MiLocker!
- able to use existing MIUI lockscreen mtz.
- custom wallpaper needs to be converted to "mtz". Regular jpeg, png file not supported yet.
- this is a lockscreen replacement. Not a complete MIUI theme.
- supports android 2.2 and 2.3
Tips:
- combine it with Zdune's CM7 Meizu theme or Gabwerkz MIUI launcher mod and Gabwerkz framework patch

- MIUI Lockscreen themes are available in thousands here in xda or miui forums. Just copy the "MTZ" file into sdcard/miui/themes.

- The downloaded file sometimes switched to ZIP or RAR, rename it to mtz. but check it first what files are inside. If there is mtz inside zip/rar, extract it, if it contains "preview" folder, "wallpaper" folder, lockscreen.xml etc so you safely rename the extension to "mtz".
- Some of those themes won't work without an original MIUI ROM, I suggest you to choose ones from online lockscreen provided in the app. So try yourself

I am on cyanogenmod, but i remember when i was on stock rom, many lockscreen replacements didn't work and some, like go locker etc. gave force closes and hangs. Once i rooted the device, it worked fine.
Try rooting your stock rom, see if it works.

The problem is that I can't even install. When I open the APK it shows a popup that have something like this: "has occurred a problem analyzing the package".

Thanks for sharing, it works great. But there is one thing, is it possible to make lockscreens fade instead of just jump right into screen when you unlock?... I think it looks weird. The stock lockscreen have this feature that I really want.

@all: sorry to mention, this app is for android version 2.3 only.
About fade transition, we must modify the xml inside. I don't have an idea about those script, sorry again lolz.

Yeap, not much themes are works well, for now. But sms or call notification enabled theme are working very well

Cool lockscreens. I'm using the simple one, black red circle, SMS and Call are functioning well. MIUI is bomb! Lots of customizations.

Wierd, I tried those themes on Galaxy S2 with Oxygen ROM 2.3 and Nexus One CM7, even Galaxy Tab P1000 rooted stock 2.3.3 (1200x600 resolution) and almost all running perfectly, also others that didn't work on my Oblack...

The launcher is awesome! It's almost identical to the original but it need to be more customizable, like:
+ Set desktop grid
+ Set icon text size, color; hide icon text
+ Wallpaper scrolling (enable/disable)
+ Multi Dock pages
+ Number of Dock icons
+ Set drawer grid
+ Icon label size/color option for folder apps
+ Support icon theme
+ Support edit icon
+ RESIZE WIDGETS
+ Import layout from other launcher
+ Drawer folder
+ Widgets on dock
+ Bulk add for folder

mms.apk(icon) is just themed in the desktop but in the app drawer my original icon is use, and also phone.apk and contact.apk and even camera.apk? Can you fix that for me? The Flashable ZIP is not working
So I downloaded the ZIP file, put it in my SD Card, rebooted my phone, then gone to CWM, but when I try to flash the ZIP it says:
ERROR: (Status 0)

I have the exact same problem.
SM-901F, stock TouchWiz 5.0.2 (Singapore SingTel BOE1), rooted via CF-Autoroot . It installs fine & adds the "Themes" button, but causes a "TouchWiz home has stopped". I've seen others report the same. Has anyone done this successfully on the S5 _Plus_, running 5.0.2 ?

I just did it and it works, but I've not found any other themes yet. So its kind of meh.

Notice:
This ROM is created for Samsung Galaxy Galaxy A5 (SM-A500FU). Obviously it will not work on any other device, or if it does few apps may crash. Boot time may take a lot, 15-20-30 mins :silly:
As you very well may know, Samsung recently launched a beta testing program for the Note users to test the new touchwiz UI called GraceUI. Let's test it on our phones :fingers-crossed: Please do a backup in case something goes wrong or the apps crash. In order to use the script inside the ROM you may need Universal Init.d from the play store

What's not working / current issues:
Gallery may crash when you slide to "EVENTS"
new libs cause bootloop
Launcher is a bit buggy
SystemUI doesn't show real volume strings
Trying to change language in settings, makes the app crash
The WiFi can't even be turned on, the system crashes
The Bluetooth doesn't turn off, some times neither on
Random framework reboots
Camera app will Force-Close when you take pics
Most system apps cause bootloop, the system is still unstable and ultra light

How to install:
1) You're going to need a custom recovery, follow instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series/general/to-port-twrp-to-galaxy-a5-a500fu-t3150843
2) Use the download link provided above to download the latest build available
3) Put both .zip files on your device (either internal or external storage)
5) Boot your device into recovery mode
6) Make backup (if needed)
7) Mount /ststem and then wipe data and do a factory reset
8) Install the ROM .zip file
9) Install the latest .zip patch
10) Done, you can reboot now.

i did, a lot of them don't work

by the way, when making a backup is MD5 optional? it takes a long time and i want to uncheck it but will it effect anything?

i don't think so, before flashing make sure you mounted the system if the apps crash just clear their data and re-open

Awesome but there are 2 problems
Gallery crashes when swiping to the left sometimes (cleared data and still happens)
Can't see smart manager + the new music player
But love the my files
Edit: also can't send any messages with the messaging app but it looks beautiful

yep it is, it's hard but smart manager doesn't want to work lol

smart manager is indeed tricky, i even found a 5.0.2 from S6, ported for 32bit android for Note 3, and still it didnt work. It is one of few apps from samsung that i dont recognise as bloat. I know the one from ALOOSH in the General section works well, but even that one is outdated.
Please check these two threads out: [APP][PORT][ROOT] App S7 for G900F and S7 Apps For Galaxy Note 5,S6 Edge,S6 and Note 4
Usually, any port from Albe95 have resulted successfully for me in many devices. I tested this on an S5, N3 and N4, all worked, chances are it works here as well.

i looked it up, it seems the new smart manager is inside the settings so we'll need grace ux setting to use it it works but we can't see it

What are you doing to install or modify these apps??????
For ex. I try to edit the appeareance from SystemUI, only I try to change the colours in colors.xml, recompile with the same signature, but when i try to install, give me an error (package damaged). I have the same error with any apk, I try to only decompile and recompile without change nothing, but same error... Pls help, I using TickleMyAndroid in Windows, apktool in ubuntu doesn't work fine...

try apktool (there is windows version), and depdends on the apps you may need proper system ui and framework

Remember once you install mine themes it will show up in Samsung Theme Store as trial, hit trial and if you have Substratum Theme killer once you apply my theme reboot and disable with theme killer , Second option Use BK Package Disabler and find theme store and theme center clear cache on both and disable, And theme will stick, 3 option which is the one i use to make it stick is Tasker go to first post and follow those instructions!

Theme Service Disable BK Manager and Tasker Mod For Custom Themes

This is by far the most excellent solution to prevent custom theme from reverting to default theme (at least for me .. LoL )
Can be used for non-rooted and rooted phone.
Does it have advantages over common and other procedures? You bet it has!
Background:
When using custom samsung themes from xda, the theme will be Trial theme and in 10 minutes or after reboot,theme will revert to samsung default theme.
This is because there's samsung theme engine service that runs in background and can auto-start itself.
There are common procedures to prevent this, root and non root ways..
But it's pita to do this over and over again.
What are benefits of this procedure ?
- you can reboot and do nothing else.
- apply a theme and do nothing else!
What do you need for this?
2 apps: Tasker and bk package disabler.
install them from playstore, and you'll need to setup and run bk package disabler before,
make sure you have disable other Theme Killer, and have Theme store accessible from settings.
then test if you can disable & enable both Samsung Themes and Themes from bk
STEPS & INSTRUCTIONS :
1. ignore permission RUN_IN_BACKGROUND for theme store and themecenter using adb (you only need to do this once)
You need a computer / laptop for this.

in adb cmd , type:
adb shell cmd appops set com.samsung.android.themestore RUN_IN_BACKGROUND ignore
adb shell cmd appops set com.samsung.android.themecenter RUN_IN_BACKGROUND ignore
2. open tasker and import these profiles and task (attached XMLs)
how to import:
Profile: long press in Profile tab, then choose Import > choose xml file.
Task: long press in Tasks tab, then choose Import > choose tsk xml file.
3. Set up Toggle Themes quicksetting
go to Tasker preferences, tab Action,
in Quick Settings Tasks row 2, click on magnifier button and select "Toggle Themes", close tasker
Now expand notification and edit button order (3 dots on top right),
drag the first "Unset" icon to inside of quick toggles box, click done.
Now you have shortcut to toggle between:
- disable all theme service (so themes wont revert)
- enable theme service then open theme store , for quick access and better experience :good:
4. Set up disable High Volume Warning (optional)
If you want to skip this, unlink task VolumeWarningOff in tasker profile DeviceBoot and ThemesTimer. And continue to step 5.
install attached Tasker_Toggle_Setting.8.apk
then set permission in adb ( only once after install )
adb shell pm grant com.tasker.togglesetting android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
5. Close Tasker by using back button,
Reboot and make sure Tasker profiles and tasks are still there..
Also turn on accessibility setting for Tasker, so it knows when theme apply finished.
6. Now you can apply theme without hassle.
theme update has broken the tasker method, disable profile ThemeExit in tasker,
and just use Toggle Themes from quicksetting :good:
use the quick toggle created in step 3.

Glad it's finally open, been using most of the ones from the S8+ thread with the addition of Substratum.

Hopefully today @crayonyes and @Tigerhoods will start the overlayer today, And as for me soon Custom Samsung theme, difference is i am going to upload them in XDA Labs to sell will link in OPS when got time to finish some other themes!
