After updating to lollipop,i am having battery drain issue.I tried several factory reset with no other app installed.Result is all the same 1-2%/hour.To investigate the issue,i took the simcard off last night, and did a factory reset, now its drainging 1-1.5%/hour even without any sim! Cell standby has the most draining.
PS: wi-fi is always on and connected.

Have you tried one of the battery calibration apps in the Play store? You will get some people who suggest they make no difference, but every time I've used one, I had improved battery life (or at least the reporting of the reduction in power has improved).

i try 1-2 time, so i try to delete batterystats.bin always when my battery will be full and we will see
Try an app called smarter wifi. It is an app that will power your wifi on and off by a set schedule.
Hello.
I have problem with desire 500 (single sim), battery is very fast discharged on standby. 2-5% per hour, over night 30-40%. Everything disabled, plane mode ON, clean stock rom, no apps.
Have tried custom roms, stock rom, no matter.
Acctually yesterday I put back stock rom 1.34.401.1 (hboot 1.03) (without firmware yet), and the same problem exists. All cache cleaned, wiped, factory reset etc... Today I will try to put also stock firmware.
Anyway, I have two Desire 500 phones, one single sim other dual sim. Dual SIM on standby in 12hours discharge only 1-2%.
Even ordered two new batteries, both batteries work great in Dual SIM, and in Single SIM the same problem.
What is the problem with single sim? Hardware or software?
What else can I try?
Thank you.
Update:
Updated firmware, all stock, rom, firmware, boot, everything.
Battery full charged to 100%, after only 23min on standby battery dropped to 97% .
Any ideas?
Bump... ;(
I installed GSam Baterry Monitor, and hope there is much more info now.
Kernel (android OS) is the main problem. Now is original stock firmware, what to do, try to put Ultimate Kernel all versions? Then KangBang?
This test was done in aeorplane mode (radio mobile OFF, wifi OFF, power save mode ON, display OFF).

Thanks.
Maybe the battery is dying . Batteries have a lifespam and when they reach certain age... their performance decreases very quickly.
Look for an app that tells you the battery's health and then go on with your research.

Last night I had a problem with my home wifi (phone couldn't connect--Authentication error). I rebooted the router and it connected. Then I noticed an hour or two later that my phone was warm and the battery drained about 20%. I charged it fully and went to bed. Six hours later and the battery was completely dead.
Cell Standby is using 60%. I wiped the dalvik and cache in recovery and it's still using 60%.
The phone is on CM13 RR (6/22).
It's a Marshmallow bug that occurs when on Wi-Fi and connected to LTE.
You can alleviate this issue by using an app that automatically switches to 3G like Smart Network (Xposed) or GravityBox's smart radio (Xposed), or by turning mobile data off entirely when on Wi-Fi. By doing thia, Cell Standby won't show that "drain." However, MMS (but not SMS) texts will not be sent or received if mobile data is off, with the only exception being Verizon's Message+ app, which can send and receive via Wi-Fi.
There's some "debate" as to whether or not it actually has any impact to battery life or if it's just a visual reporting issue. Me personally, I see zero negative effects of the Cell Standby "drain." If I turn mobile data off, or use the 3G "fix," my battery life is basically the same as when Cell Standby is showing the "drain."
More in-depth analysis of by Cell Standby "drain" analysis here.
I believe I have solved the problem. I reflashed the .49 update and everything went back to normal.
just got my phone out of the box but getting warm and battery drain when idling. the phone has updated to 8.1 and july security patch.
i tried factory reset, turn off (data, nfc, gps, wifi), safe mode, and the method link below but none of them help. im guessing the battery is fine but something is triggering something that generating the heat and drain the battery ?
also tried to install couple battery apps to diagnose the problem but didn't get me to anywhere.. is there anything i could do to further investigate the problem before returning my phone...?

Hey. just bought LG V40. i have a problem, getting serious battery drain issue, in a hour about 2-3%, overnight 15-25%. tried factory data reset, airplane mode, battery saver, disabled unnecessary apps and AOD... but nothing helped. if i turn off phone, there is no drain (maybe). What i must do? It's verizon, sceen set to Full HD, no auto brightness, Android 9.0 pie, on March security updates
Battery life health via Accubattery and Antutu app is 75%, but phone works even when 2-3%, and using time is normal
Also have one problem, there is no write fast charge, it works only if i turn off phone and then charge or charge and restart phone
