Hey guys,
I was looking for a call recorder app and noticed there are thousands of apps out there, but not a single one which actually blends-in in the calling screen...
I mean I don't want to record ALL of my calls, but recording should just be a single click away when I someone already on the phone...
Am I the only one, or just blind to find?
Thanks for any hints...
PS:
Btw Z3 compact on Kitkat here
Yeah there's native call recording for our device both kitkat and lollipop. You should be able to find it in the Sony cross-device development forum. The lollipop version thread is fairly recent so you should be able to find it in the first couple of pages but the kitkat version thread, you may need to search.

Ah, thats a good idea! You mean this forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony-themes-apps
right?
Unfortunately if I search there for "call recorder" or "call recording" I get only three threads and none of them has actually a call recording app...
Could you give some additional pointers?
Thanks!

From the speaker? or real recording.
One thing I noticed with the release of Darkys Rom 10.2 is Darky said he nearly got call recording working but ran out of time and left for 2 weeks holiday.
The issue of recording a conversation tends to be very complex legally, with the statutes changing from country to country (and even state to state). Some countries/states permit secret recording, others require at least one participant to be aware they are being recorded, others require all participants to be informed.
As Google works to defragment Android, this is a legal morass they will likely wish to avoid therefore I doubt we will see call recording as part of AOSP in the furure.
However some vendors do include it in their own ROM versions, especially those intended for regions with more permissive laws about Call Recording. Also, some custom ROMs include the feature...so shop around.
Isn't the voice recorder in the Nirtrality app (from market)??
Otherwise.. I don't understand you
I dont think he cares about it being legal in his country or any other app capable to record calls.
He probably ask about a way to have integrated call recording on samsung roms without any other external app.
We could have it on froyo because samsung released 2.2.1 on some asian countries with that function, but apparently that country didnt get 2.3.4 yet so nobody could do the same for samsung gingerbread roms.

SamHaLeKe, I just downloaded your Add-on Pack I... I can see that it includes an app to record calls automatically, I dont think thats what he's looking for.

It's from the speaker
I tried several kernels, just only speedmod kernel can support this function with "record my call" app which can be found in market. Maybe, this isn't reall recording too, but the voice can be accepted.
Hi everybody,
I'm new to the community and this is my first post.
I'm having some issue with viber on my xperia T, the thing is that when I call, people can't hear me,
I hear them well, and the quality of the call is very good.
I can't find the problem...
So if you have some solutions...
My phone is on Jelly Bean stock version.
Same exact problem...
Anybody have a solution?
this is quite annoying

I'm having the same problem with Xperia V,
I just got the phone on sunday with ICS and saw the update coming, updated the phone.
I set it up and installed viber on my phone, People on the other side can't hear me at all.I can hear'em perfectly yet they can't hear me at all.
For the first time I thought it was only me who has the problem, I even googled it and couldn't find any solution.
Too bad and I felt like going back to ICS and see the problem still occurs cause I didn't get a chance to test it on ICS.
Hope they'll find the problem and a solution for this. or something on coming update.
I too tought that I was the only one.
I checked viber website, and the Xperia T is not listed in the compatible devices... even though it's android device!
Oh then, Xperia V might not be listed too. well they'll fix it in later updates. so yea we gotta wait, till then we'll have to chat.
I saw in some post that a person from viber was answering questions, So maybe we can contact him but how? Just to check if they plan to make it compatible or to tell us a tips to get it to work...

It's a short in the hardware. Make sure xloud is always turned off. I went through 3 Sony phones because of that issue.

Hi all,
As asked in the subject, is the One better than the OneX, regarding call recording?
I have a OneX at the moment and I remember I had to follow this guide to enable call recording:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663642
While that approach worked, it was hacky and a little sub-optimal.
I read there were devices that had a much more integrated support for call-recording in custom kernels/roms...for some reason the OneX never made it to that point, however.
Does anybody know where the situation stands for the One?
Does recording work out of the box? Should I root/patch?
Thanks!
Yes it is. Sound is good in every aspect of this phone. Probably the strongest part of the phone.

So you say it works out of the box? That's great!
And is it two-way (recording both outgoing and incoming voices during the call)?

No.
As far as I'm aware, and I've searched high and low, two way line recording isn't working on the non-rooted One. Yet.
No no no no!
I meant that it should be possible with rooting and similar ways, should have said that. My bad, sorry.

Ok, so rooting is needed. No big deal.
But with that, do we have two-way call recording support (not talking about the apps, that I know where to find)??
Any source where I can read more about this related to the One?? I tried to look in the forum but I didn't find anything...
Thanks!
No clue boss , I don't record calls, I swear a lot. Not a pleasing playback.

Just switched from iOS to Android (used to be an active member of the forums for WinMo), so forgive me as I know this has been asked before, but I didn't find any results in HTC ONE forum. I am having issues with the call history. It doesn't show a time only the date. There has to be a way to fix this on the stock dialer but I can't seem to find it anywhere in the settings. Any advice would be ideal. I prefer not to download a third party app for this fix but if this is the only way that would be fine, I guess. Thank you in advance.

Good question. 4.3 Sense 5
Date and time for text messaging only date for call history. It's annoying and I'm already over the 14 day mark otherwise I would return the device for that simple reason.

Yes, I'm have the same issue. I just got mine a week ago and installed the upgrade to 4.3 soon afterwards. The software on HTC One is not as intuitive as other phones I have had. The time of call is a basic and important part of call information, so it's beyond comprehension how anyone could leave this off.
I will contact HTC, and hopefully they will include a fix in their next update. How ridiculous to forget something like this. They seemed to have focused on doing a great job on the hardware and completely ignored UX on this phone.
Guys, I just tried Snap Camera, and i found out that the video recording is really brighter when recording on Snap Camera compared to Sony's Stock Application. ALSO,on Snap Camera, i can tap on screen to change focus while recording video, which is something that I am not allowed to do when I use Stock App.
This means that our device(z3 compact) IS CAPABLE of using Touch to Focus while video recording. Is there any way to activate/enable/make use of this feature on Sony's Stock Application?!
Thanks in advance.

Yes of course !
Decompile the stock camera app and code it in yourself.
100% serious answer: judging from your question, no.

Is it possible for developers @mkdmc to do something like this? I mean, since they're making mods, they might know how to tweak the stock app camera to achieve it!

Like I said... It'll be faster if you code it yourself. I know everyone here can do that since it's XDA- ""developers"" after all.
Whether he wants to mod it or not is a different question, better to ask him yourself.

Thought you made a typo ( can - instead of can't) and that's why I didn't catch it. Message sent. Hope he replies!
The question is: Is there a high request of this feature or not? I myself don't have a problem not having that focus, as for real recordings, I better use my "real" camera / camcorder instead of the phone.
@kwstas 13
Thanks for your suggestions. I'll add it to cyberian road map
