Custom ROM for KFHD7 Soho - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
Im trying to put a custom rom on a Kindle Fire HD7 without a front camera (Fastboot says "Soho-PVT-Prod-07") but all the guides I can find refer to the KFHD7 Tate not Soho
Are there any ROMs available for the Soho?
Which recovery should I use?

I find this: https://github.com/kyleberries/KindleSuite/wiki/Install-Ice-ROM-de
But the best would be a cynogenmod or AOSP...
The stuck-rom is more and more outdated and really ****ty
EDIT:
Uhh I found this: cm-12-20151226-UNOFFICIAL-soho.zip

[Q] kft rom development

Im in the process of starting the development of a new rom for the kindle fire 2nd generation, as this is my first rom ever im wondering if anyone can point me in a good direction.
modified system.img
wouldn't it be possible to take a copy of the original system and modify it creating a rom, nothing fancy to begin with however from there we could continue to modify it. but if we did it that way we would almost be guaranteed a working rom to begin with

[Q] CM10.1 w/ safestrap to OTA JB

I've searched a few forums and can't find an answer for my question. I've read that you cannot go to an older version of a rom if you are attempthing to use the fastboot files. Is this true? Can anyone link instructions for going from a rooted 4.2.2 CM10.1 to stock JB from verizon.
I've had worsening problems with my phone through my last few rom changes and I would like to return to stock to see if I should take my phone to verizon for a replacement (the moment I slide the phone open it freezes and the keyboard does not work plus a bunch of freezes requiring hard resets). Phone is running so slow.
Anyways, I would really appreciate a link to some instructions or a quick how to guide as I've used rsdlite, update motorola drivers, fastboot mode, etc before.
Thanks so much guys!!!!!
Safestrap installed CM10.1 is not a newer version of your system technically because it can't modify your bootloader or kernel, it has to use kexec to init a 2nd kernel boot.....so your stock kernel/bootloader are still based on your ICS system.
You can just flash the JB fastboot files and be on JB. You'll need to re-root the device though......and older root methods don't work you you'll need to use the razr_blade script by drjbliss

[Q] Cloud and flashing

Greetings,
I would like to know if flashing my Fire HD will stop me from being able to access my amazon cloud via the kindle. Another concern is that I know technically that flashing to a new rom voids the warranty, but the original factory rom can be re flashed onto the tab. Have you heard of anyone with a warranty issue after re flashing to kindle rom?
how do i move this post?

[Help] Flashed the wrong rom on..the wrong model

Hi everyone,
I made a "little" mistake and i'm coming for some help
I have the Asus Memopad HD 7. I made some research on the web to flash a new rom and I found this threat about lineage OS. I followed the tutorial and almost everything works fine..
...
...until now ! I'm trying to make my tab' stock rom again but it appears that I flashed a wrong kernel (because the threat is about the Asus Memopad 7, not the "HD" version )
I have acces to the recovery (flashing a rom doens't work "error 255") and fastboot (flashing another recovery doens't work "bad kernel").
Could you please help me to make it stock again ?
Thanks !

I used to have this tablet, i currently have the one lineage was meant for, if im not mistaken the HD version has mediatek, so you can easilly reinstall the stock based rom that is somewhere in these forums, its to flash with sp flash tools, which means you dont even need the tablet on to reinstall, just make sure you have the correct files and drivers

hp touchpad. new project but where to begin.

first off this isnt my tablet and i know nothing about it. its my dads and he installed clockwork mod? and cyanogenmod on android 4.4.4 on it. Well a few years ago he stopped using it in place of another tablet. he recently rediscovered it and decided he wanted to update it but doest remember what he did.. so my question is this ( and feel free to just send links to the information and ill figure it out ) i have none of the recovery roms or anything. so what would be the best rom to install and should i search for the stock rom first and restore it to factory then find the most stable rom while still being lightweight.
Cyanogenmod 11 is probably what you're running. The instructions for that are here. I've personally been using Evervolv for a loooong time. I just use mine to read comics. You can find Evervolv info here. I just got on today to see if there's been anything new. I may try out this ROM here.
The original operating system on the Touchpad was webOS, not Android, so I'm not sure what you mean by "Stock ROM." If you've already got clockwork and CM on there, you'd be better off installing TWRP and following the instructions in the links above. It's been so long since I've done anything with mine, I can't remember steps either, lol.
