Does anyone know how to get Facebook to show up as an app in greenify, since it usually is the biggest offender of staying awake?

In order to greenify Facebook or any other system app you need the greenify donation package and root.

Or flash a ROM that doesn't have it as a built on app. I also just used Link2SD to make Gmail a user app cause that was huge battery drain for me
not possible only with donation package features that dont require root? facebook is not an system app i think.

Thats the way android works
But they dont actually drain your battery
You could try freezing them apps using titanium backup I think.

if you are talking about the startup items.. use something like autostarts which can effectively manage them
hi can u suggest me which apps should i uninstall ussing titanium and which apps should i greenify FOR MAX BATTERY SAVINGS
You can remove pretty much any system apps which you will never use... But don't remove any important system files or apks.. otherwise you will get problems!
And yes, removing bloatwares won't help you much in saving Battery - but it will give you a couple of few extra minutes maybe
- Use the app "NoBloat" from Google Play to remove them

If you freeze them with tb you won't be able to use them. With greenify on the other hand you can
Does any body have any tips to improve battery? Maybe some apps to freeze in Titanium, im also familiar with greenify. Just dont want to disable to many settings like sync etc since it kinda defeats the purpose of have the phone. I ended up disabling google now. Feels like it was draining my batt.
There's some great tips in Mega's op.

LAG Fix and FROZEN Apps
Sent from my SM-N910T using XDA Free mobile app
So I rooted my nexus 6 with nexus root toolkit and installed custom recovery (TWRP) and did a fresh install after (did restore any apps) I installed greenify and hibernated some apps like facebook, instagram etc and now I feel like the phone stutters and lags a little when exiting chrome or page in the app drawer. Before rooting I didn't have any of those issues. What could the problem be? I am on 5.1.1 latest update.
Thanks

It's got nothing to do with root. One of the apps you installed is hogging resources. Try uninstalling them, one at a time, until you find the culprit.
You're right mate. The culprit was greenify
Did you activate it in accessibility in settings and grant su I use greenify with no issues

Facebook is a crappy piece of software itself wich leans on the cpu heavily, its best to access FB with a browser and uninstall the app completely.
For facebook I have revoked all permissions in privacy guard and have it greenifyed and now it dosnt cause issues agreed it can be laggy
