[Q] Bootloop...... - Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My phone falls into bootloop whenever i turn on WiFi or mobile data. Sometimes WiFi or mobile data works for like couple of minutes and also whenever i reboot my phone, boot animation fades away into yellowish screen causing another reboot. I've already tried wiping dalvik cache and safe mode but none works
I'm on 4.3 stock rom.
Please help me!!

first of all don't panic and concentrate (we all have been in this )
simply if you have a flashtool flash the stock ftf file of the 4,3 stock ROM...guide......if you have a cmw you can flash a stock 4.3 ROM through it
good luck :good:

of course your little phone..
cz every I have many bugs when flash new rom and stuck , sometimes I choose this last option..
reflash kernel > wipe dalvik cache > full wipe > reflash rom
maybe this would help
already flash all and wipe , don t works !!
how can i test my wifi and check it
Did you OC aswell? Because I'm only facing such shutdowns when I apply too much OC to my phone..
no i don t put oc on my phone
it's stange, my only problem about wifi is it isn't working till i reboot it myself, not rebooting itself .___.

Help, my SGM is stuck in a bootloop!

So this morning I was playing some stupid game on my phone and it became unresponsive so I rebooted by force shutting down the phone and turning it back on. It started up as usual, the boot animation played and it was like that for 2 mins, then it played the boot animation again, waited for 2 mins and boot animation again etc. I've never flashed a custom ROM or anything of that sort. I would like to avoid any actions that would void the warranty or delete any data. Thanks.

Bro! Since u r on stock firmware...there seems only 1 way to fix this:- Formatting the phone. And this will delete all ur data(downloaded apps, phone contacts, etc). If this too doesn't works then u need to flash Official Samsung Firmware via Odin through download mode which also deletes all ur user data. Also, u can't take backup since ur phone doesn't boot anymore. So you'll lose ur data either way. So 1st try formatting it:-
1. Remove & re-insert battery.
2. Press & hold Home+Power buttons until ur phone switches on(in stock recovery),
{Use volume keys for navigation, home button for selecting & power button to go back to previous menu}
3. Select Format data/cache(something like that...)
4. After phone being formatted, select reboot system now
★Done★

Before taking any action, try restarting the phone (press lock button for 15 sec)
Or try this remove battery for 5 min after putting it back try to restart
And last option wipe cache and dalvik cache.
Still not work formatting is the ans.

I've restarted, removed the battery for 30 mins and put it back, wiped cache and guess what, it didn't work. Can I retrieve the data in the internal storage?
And BTW will I be able to recover my data if I flash CWM?
OK, I flashed CWM on, took a backup and wiped the data and tatata TA TATAAAA it doesn't work. I'm gonna reflash Gingerbread now. If it does not work, am I screwed?

Help.. Phone stuck

So, I've been using SweetROM v7 for quite sometime now and it never showed any problem until now.
I switched off my phone to change my SIM (Yes, it was working perfectly) and then switched it back on but now it just goes upto the Samsung logo and reboots again.
I thought it might be stuck in a bootloop (Sorry if this was a wrong thought, I'm still a noob) so I flashed the Jellybean Bootloader but with no success.
Please get me through this problem. I don't have any other phone and I kind of need it urgently.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Wipe data in recovery and reboot once, may work out. Though this will lose all the non backed up data.
Will I lose the images and the files which I had in My Files too??
No no, you won't lose the images and files.
have you made a back up copy of sweetROM after you flashed it? If you did, you can always try to run that back up and that could solve your problem.

I would start with wiping dalvik cache in cwm. Sometimes this can get you out of a bootloop. And you won't loose any data.

You seem to have many problems with this custom rom. Reflash it. If that doesn't work, wipe everything and flash it again.

Haha thats right :laugh:but i tried to reflash but with other serious problems not like that AND THAT DID NOT HELPED because those bugz are ROM bugz not because i didnt wiped data or something like that:fingers-crossed: but if i click on WIPE SYSTEM button in recovery then install the rom is everything will be ok or.....? i tried other rom called SPIKELAB PREFORMANCE EDITION. Then i got first "procces.android.acore stopped" because i didnt wipes data after that i reflashed with data wipe and its worked ok but the notification panel is lag like old phone then i repalced a new stock systemUI then rebooted then i got systemui stopped and no navbar and notifbar after that i became like that ( ) then flashed exiztenz ROM.
Cool buggy story huh?

Phone bootlooping after batery dies

Hello,
After installing CM12.1 my phone works all fine, up until my battery dies and phone powers off.
After the battery went flat I have charged my phone and tried to power it on, phone goes to the boot animation then it says "Android is upgrading" after its went through all the apps it goes back to boot animation and keeps repeating the upgrading process over and over again. It doesn't give me a chance to go to the recovery so I need to switch my phone off with a pen.
I have used Kit Kat before and never experienced any problems like that, it only happened when I have upgraded to Lolipop, both with VANIR and CM12.1. (with and without Tangerine kernel)
The only apps I install after clean rom install are : Youtube, Snapchat, Facebook and Messanger, Hola Launcher, BBM. I do not install any bootanimation mods or lockscreens.
My bootloader is unlocked.
The only .zip I flash after installing is gapps for the chosen rom. (I flashed Tangerine kernel before but the problem occured no matter what kernel I use.)

OK, first thing to try:
Get to the recovery and dirty flash your rom again.
Android should boot up now.
Set Trebuchet as your default launcher.
See whether the problem persists or not.
What is BBM?

Why you letting your battery die in the first place? Why?
Anyhoo in case it happens next time, you could also try booting into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik cache and see if it helps you boot.
You could also take a nandroid backup and try some other ROM and see it the issue persists though why you would let you battery die out on purpose is beyond me.

I use my phone a lot and it just dies. I'm on 50% right now gonna try and drain it somehow and try suggestions from up there ^ I'll post results when I get them.
Yeah, letting the battery die ain't good, but this belongs to a regular usage of the phone. So it has not to cause bootloops...

So I have drained my battery a few times and everything seems fine, the only thing I done differently is I set Trebutchet as a default Launcher don't know how its making any difference but it did.

I can explain:
Sometimes, apps have problems with a hard shutdown.
When a phone completely boots and then gets into a bootloop, it is mostly caused by a defective launcher app.
Without a Wirkung launcher, the phone can't boot. It will be stuck on bootscreen because there is no launcher that stops the bootscreen.
You can use any launcher you want, but not the one you used to use.
I like the Xperia Home launcher ports. Bit there are other great launchers out there in the stores. Pick one and report if the problem comes back

Dude I gotta ask - is the extra 5-10 mins you can squeeze in before the battery dies worth all this trouble that follows? Come to think of it, you're kinda bringing this upon yourself, aren't you?
What is so important that you have to bleed your battery dry everytime? And if it's that important, why aren't you carrying a powerbank or getting to a power point asap? I mean it stands to reason that if your phone's so vital to you, its better to rejuice it than to let it die right?

I cant control it I can go out for 12 hours and my phone will die. And I'm pretty sure a normal phone can handle it.
A small update, I switched my phone on after I have switched it off to dodge some phonecalls (don't judge) and tried to power it back on and it started "upgrading" again, it was in the middle of the night so I left my phone in the charger for few hours bootlooping then plugged it out during sleep, somehow I woke up to a booted up phone I'm really confused

Then... It seems like your phone isn't bootlooping. It is just slow.
We need the logs of the boot, some logs that show us what's going on when it boots that slowly.
I'm still convinced it's an apps fault.
Did you clean the user data when you did the last clean install? Some app data can survive a "clean to install new rom" there.

Flash the ftf file?
- Phone now boots to the lock screen and goes back to boot animation then goes to lock screen and repeats it all without optimising apps... Lolipop is too good to just downgrade

That's a hot reboot what you experience now.
What I asked you for is to go back to stock and then immidiately go back to CM.
Flashing the Stock Rom is only for absolutely wiping everything without the risk of bricking your phone.
It wouldn't make any difference how long you stay on stock.
If it's not a hardware problem, it will solve your bootloop / hot reboot issues!
