Looking for help with myphoneexplorer or recommended new APP.
Since Lollipop I cant delete photos from the SD card by wifi only by using USB which is destroying the flap.
I can edit and delete from the phone but not on the computer using this app.
I used to be able to put new photos in the folders on my computer then sync using WIFI and they would go onto the phone but not anymore.

I'm having a major head ache here. I want to set it up so that when i connect my kaiser the photos in the my pictures folder on the storage card are automatically transferred to my pictures folder on my laptop. Is this possible? I'm using Vista by the way.
Is there any app out there that will backup your files via Bluetooth or WiFi when you're in range to your PC? Like it cross checks to make sure the files on your Phone are the same on your PC. Sync and update new files.
There are programs you can run on your computer that would sync it anytime you mounted the sd card...I'm not sure about automatic sync purely over wifi/bt.

That sounds usable too. Mind telling me where I can find something like that? Basically want a folder on my HDD to sync with my SD card. Ideally I'd like something that would sync with my computer at any WiFi spot, kind of like my own personal Cloud.
there are a few programs that can do it, first id try Memeo Auto Sync, which you can make sync whenever it mounts, then also ViceVersa, but idk how well that will work for syncing the g1, its schedule based.
My phone wont snyc to my desktop so I can get my phone numbers back.. I have never had this problem before so I don't know what steps to take. Thanks for any and all help.
Your contacts should be synced to the gmail account you use with your hero for the marketplace... but if you have vcard files of your contacts you can go to people-> press menu-> the go to the import/export button on the lower left part of the menu to import or export from an sd card. If you use outlook you can create vcard files of your contacts really easily.

All my contacts are synced through my computer. ( so I cant do that..
And they never go threw with my google account
what do you mean "synced through your computer"?
do you mean they exist as a csv file? or something else?

hmmm. As in I use HTC Sync.. Then i switch my phone to sync and it auto syncs to my computer? i dont know the file format.
Hey, sorry I took so long to reply!
If you're using HTC sync the contacts have to be going one of 2 places - your outlook address book or your windows contacts... if you can find those files (or export them from outlook) and put them on your sd card, then follow the directions I gave you in post #2. If your computer isn't recognizing your phone, then: 1. there is probably a deeper problem than your contacts not working, and 2. you could always get an adapter for your sd card and plug it directly into your computer.

Thanks I got it working now.
I just got my GT-N7100 and was trying to migrate my N-7000 contacts and other backedup data to the new device but it wont take the files associated with GT-N7000 Does any one have any idea on how to do it without much hastle.
sync to google, Log into google on the new phone and sync contacts Job done :good:
As for data, What data are you referring to ? Are both phones rooted? If so, Try titanium backup

The google contacts have synced the one on my SIM wont , messages, Music. I even created a backup og GT-N7100 and it uses 4 different file formats but nothing that would support GT-N7000 file format (i guess it is .Sub)
As much as I hate Kies, Have you tried it ?
It does have a backup function which should transfer across to the new Note. If not, There are apps that can backup messages and playlists, Im pretty sure Titanium can do this also (I dont backup messages, and all music is on external SD)
The sim contacts should be easy to transfer, Just pop the sim into the new Note and then export from SD to Phone, Or do this on the Note 1 and then sync them to google and resync on Note 2

Yes i created backup using KIES itself thats how the .SUB file extension was created.As far as the Sim goes the problem is both the sim's are different one a regular while other a micro sim (Microsim can get stuck in N7000 without the adapter). I have the cutter and can cut the sim and slide it in the new note but wanted to move the contents from it before cutting. Havent tried titanium backup will do it today and see if the backup files created by it on N7000 are compatible with N7100.
Oh my bad ! I didnt know you had used Kies. Im not sure what extension it creates cause I never use it lol I hate it !!
You shouldnt have any issues with titanium, Its a wonderful tool that can do almost anything.
As for the micro sim, I didnt know the Note 2 had one what is with these damn things I hate them, reminds me of people trying to be like apple !

In note1 go to contact display options and make all visible
Then contact - export/import-export to ext sd card
Then use same micro sd to note2 and same wat use import from contact
Use sms backup/restore for msgs
-read toolbox from my note 1 signature and find transfer data application
You can transfer contact and msgs from one device to other devices with blutooth.

I am having a very frustrating problem with folders disappearing.
Using MY Phone Explorer to sync I have a 64gb sd card with 12gb of photos I have two folders that persistently disappear.
There is plenty of room on the card and I have tried using USB to put the folders on the card.
They are ok for a day or so and Sync nicely then all of a sudden MPE says error unable to read folder file sync job MMS
