Hello , in the xperia z3 you can choose to connect a ps3 or a ps4 controller , but in the xperia z3+ you can only connect the ps4 controller , is there any other way to connect a ps3 controller to the xperia z3+
Hi, i'm actually wondering about the same thing. Have ordered the z3+ and it will arrive in about 1week or 2. If i remember correctly, there was an app on can buy at playstore which basically does the same, i guess i'll just try it out when i get the phone, and return the phone if the app fails.

Would be nice if someone with z3+ or z4 could test this, or know of a better free solution to the problem could tell us about it.

Hey guys,
I own a ps3 and a sony bravia TV. So my question is, how do I use the ps3 controller(wireless) on my xperia z to play android games on my tv ? (I know it is possible with the xperia s)
Help would be great. Thanks.
Sixaxis controller app
Sent from my Sony Xperia Z
Get Sixaxis Controller on your phone. (This does require root if I remember correct.)
Use SixaxisPairToolSetup on your PC to overwrite the bluetooth mac adres the controller will be pairing with.

Should work fine with the Xperia Z, tested it a week ago.
Now waiting for my Moga controller to arive.
Kind regards, Stefan.

Okay, thank you. I will root my device.
No problem at all.
Also note if you want to play PS3 with it again, hook it up to your PS3 using the USB cable,
This will overwrite the adres so it can pair wireless with your PS3 again.
Kind regards, Stefan.

Not in general, no. But you can pair your PS3 in the Youtube app. That way you can search for videos and play them through your phone.
I know it is possible to use DualShock 3 controller on Xperia Z,
But lets say I am missing a controller for PS3 (or PS4) and me and my friend want to play together,
Is there a way to connect my Xperia Z to the console and use it the phone as a controller?
Hi Guys, I really like this phone, and I for sure intend to buy the Z5 compact. But something is bothering me, as now (having a samsung smartphone) I can watch my movie directly from the phone on my TV, through the common WIFI in my house. And the movies play in background on the phone, so I use it further while watching them on TV. Can I do this with the Z3 compact, and on the Z5 compact for that matter? And where do I find the option? I had Z3 Compact before but could not find how, so I sold it ).
Thank you!
Settings - xperia connectivity - screen mirroring. My z3c stock rooted works great with my Samsung smart TV. Just make sure to update TV.
Thank you my friend!
I'm gonna re-up this. I've recently bought a Z3C, it's running MM.575 stock nordic firmware(found here in xda). I also have a Samsung Smart TV J6300 and I'm unable to mirror my phone. I select Mirroring on TV, then select Mirroring on Phone, phone recognizes tv, try to connect, screen goes black "connecting" and after 20 sec+-, tv goes "phone disconnected" and phone keeps trying to connect. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Guys,
i got an ipega gamepad, but it wont work.
My Xperia e1 does find it via bluetooth, but cant connect to it, if it will connect, it wants me to insert a password.
Also the LEDs on the gamepad keep flashing, what they shouldnt if it's connected.
Somebody got the same gamepad and could help me ?
BTW my e1 is rooted, so if i need to install something into the system it aint a problem.
coudl it be that you need the ipega game center app?
a friend of mine had the same problem
I think he solved it with the game center app
here's a link to a tutorial: http://www.eyes4tech.com/how-to-setup-ipega-remote-bluetooth-gamepad-controller/
