Hello Guys,
i bought a bricked Moto X and now trying to bring it back to life.
I can´t turn it on.
I don´t get into fastboot.
PC recognizes nothing when I plug in the device, not even the "QHSUSB_DLOAD" thing in the device manager.
Only the green led turns on, when I insert the charger.
The seller told me, that the device bricked while trying to downgrade from LP to KK.
Is there any hope to rescue the Moto X?
Thanks!
Have you tried?

I was rooting my phone I got to the point where I accepted the 4.4 update it downloaded installed shut off and that was it. I have tried every button combination, It had plenty of charge, and just to make sure I plugged it into a wall charger for 20 minutes. Any suggestions? The screen doesn't come on at all. Thanks, Garrett.
Follow the instructions on how to enter stock recovery. This should help.

Sorry bud. Sounds like you might have bigger issues than I can help you with. However, you should try to connect it to your computer and see if you get anything. Also keep trying to power it on while on a USB or charger.
Hopefully someone with a similar experience can chime in.

You can try to flash your phones stock ROM using this tool kit if you can get into the Boot loader. I just used it to flash back to stock on my sprint moto x. I know you are in a different situation but I can't hurt to try

hold power button for 1 min if you feel the phone vibrate that is good.
now try holding Volume Up + Power will it boot into the bootloader.
If yes great time to restore to stock
If No then your phone is hard bricked and you will have to get it replaced.
one easy way to find out if your phone is hard bricked is to plug it into the computer and see what drivers it tries to install
if it say qhsusb_dload then i know for a fact that your phone is Hard bricked.
If that is the case call your carrier or go to a local store and tell them that your phone was on 4.2.2 and you downloaded the 4.4 OTA and it rebooted to install it and now it won't turn on at all they should give you a brand new phone because it was the phones problem.
When you get your new phone please post here first with What Carrier Moto X you have and what android version it is on 4.2.2 / 4.2.2 Camera Update / 4.4. and i will help you get your phone rooted and up and running correctly
Good Luck My Friend and please don't be afraid to ask for help
Mist likely hard bricked, you're not the only person this has happen too and won't be the last, if you're getting the driver mussing as previously posted ,I agree and its hard bricked. Which 4.2 stick firmware where you on? Pre camera update? At least you can call you're carrier and say you attempted to install an ota which in fact did brick your phone don't tell them you tried to root it of course, good.luck

"Bla Bla Bla, I'm an idiot, Bla Bla Blla"
Yep, i know i am >_>. Anyways, i believe i hard bricked my moto X. I was on Liquid smooth, and it was buggy as hell, so i decided to switch to stock 4.4 deoxed from Sprint XT1056 stock roms thread. It worked but i would always get motorola and google apps crashing at boot and they never worked so i just used the moto x tool kit to flash back to 4.2.2 pre-camera update and accepted the OTA. My phone got stuck in the boot loader and then shut off. It won't turn on, the boot loader won't come up, the screen is black. I haven't been able to successfully do that QHU_ thingy but i'll try later after some new-found motivation. My phone has charge, I'm 100% of this, it's at least at 80%+ I plugged it in at home and i can't sign the unverified driver, but when i plug it in at school, it installs a driver for the moto X and then the green LED turns on for about 5 seconds while its installing the driver. Any ideas on how i could get it to work, should i try to sign the unverified driver on a computer that doesn't have the moto x drivers, even though thats on of the pre-reqs? The driver installs as a USB Input device. ( Note: I DID NOT mess with any of the xml lines in the rom, i did everything through the Moto X Toolkit. )
If i can't fix it, I'm going to buy a moto x now due to the 100$ off for mothers day, would i be able to add it on my Sprint Two year contract as a replacement phone, the Sim card is still perfectly fine, i just need a new device. Or does it vary per case?
( Unlocked bootloader, 99.9% sure warranty is voided )
Did you read this thread? Maybe can help. But yeah....what you did is a known brick method. Not sure if this thread can help....but worth looking into.

Its hard brick, and currently no solution yet for our moto x 2014 except give it to motorola service center to repair it.

Hi guys, I made my Moto X hard brick different this time, had the android 5.1.1 installed by official update, but was having trouble, I tried to reinstall the android 5.0 obviously had problems with gpt_bin to be a more current version. I could solve the problem by placing the gpt_bin android 5.1.1 Nextel in rom android 5.0 I own after I update it again for the OTA update, putting the update file on the device's internal memory as it had done in the dowload PC and did not want to download again. He began updating normally, then had black screen and not called again. Dont charging, does not come into fastboot, the computer does not detect as Qualcomm drive. He led a green as I plug in the charger, so does when connected to the computer, the LED is lit for a few second and a off, windows recognizes it and disconnects in seconds. I do not know what to do, I could already solve the hard brick when computer aindao recognized as Qualcommm driver before, but this time is different.
My problem is the same as this guy: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/moto-x-qa/moto-x-doesnt-power-green-led-charging-t3109905
I hope you can help me, excuse me for english
hey guys.
so recently i installed an app called "kingroot" which helps enhance performance by rooting. Today my device ran out of battery and when i connected it to a charger, bootloader screen automatically appears and shows: 'boot-up failed'. I have not installed any custom ROM and the device was running stock ROM (6.0).
To be honest, I am not a developer and have no clue about this. all options shown in bootloader lead to a dead end. The battery won't charge and connecting it to my pc wasn't helpful either. All I want to do is run my stock rom, which doesn't seem to be happening.
Device: Moto G 2014 (dual sim)(India)
Need help Urgently.
thanks
