Link to custom GPE rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2762336
Link to stock firmware ( might include rom if larger than 50mb): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173
Try installing the HK RUU from the second link it should bring your phone back to factory stock.
Thanks a million

I am on rumrunner hboot 1.55.5555.
I have been having some strange problems, and am wondering if my hboot could be the source. I think it is the only part of the firmware I haven't flashed trying to fix things. The main problem I am having is no service on non-sense roms. It started when I flashed ViperOne, with a full wipe, coming from Noctournal GE. I flashed back to a stock based ROM, and service is back. But I can no longer flash non-sense roms and have functioning service.
I flashed OMJ's modified firmware and twrp 2.6.3.4, then did a full wipe - didn't fix anything. Tried to RUU - it says "The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone. Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again." When the utility showed the old and new baseband [?] numbers before it tried to flash, they were the same.
I am about to flash the unmodified firmware in the hopes that it will fix something, will report my findings. If anyone could steer me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it! :highfive:
It's not a firmware problem. If you want to use it with GSM networks you need a SENSE rom, it has always been like this. The ruu probably doesn't work because you are trying to downgrade and are s-on. If you want to downgrade you need to be s-off, or find a ruu that is the same version or newer than the current firmware

What do GSM networks have to do with anything? I've had perfect service on AOSP/GE roms until this problem occurred. rumrunner hboot means I am s-off FYI. I also said nothing about downgrading, the question is should I upgrade.
Also from the above post:

radio problem
So i did all the steps to unlock my htc one m8, and I made a mistake flashing a radio which didn't belong to my device, now I'm constantly rebooting, and can't seem to find the stock radio that I'm supposed to use.
Unfortunately I made the big mistake to not backup my stock radio.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem would be gladly appreciated I'm willing to give a small donation as well thanks in advance.
My stock CiD was 654 now I'm super cid if that help
Your best bet would be to RUU at this point. If your device is S-off, you can install modified firmware without having to run a RUU. Check out OMJ's RUU/firmware thread located in the development forum.
Also, you cannot make a backup of your radio.
no need to backup your stock radio, just extract it from an ruu.
fixed!
i just flashed a firmware via hboot and got my radio back.
Now i have sucessfully completed all the steps to sim unlock it and did get ''you device is sucessfully unlock'' but still says invalid sim card any ideas?
Install an old 4.4.3 version of viper and try unlocking again
HI,
I bought a m8 sprint harmon kardon phone in India which had official sense and relocked bootloader and all sim working. Then I read all guides and i unlocked my sprint m8 bootloader got twrp 2.7.xx for it and Installed Few Custom roms. I am on viper ROM 4.3 now. It is Misbehaving a lot. I wanted to go back to stock HTC. My question is after searching extensively i cant find proper guide or ROM to go back for my particular device. So many ROMS and RUU i am confused and scared i might brick it. Shud i flash from twrp or RUU? i Dont want to S OFF.
1) How to go back to stock harmon kardon with all sim working in india .I have S on and unlocked bootloader. shud i relock bootloader?
2)which stock Rom to flash for INDIA so all sims will work and i will not be stuck with only sprint sim working(biggest scare)
3)Will i get official OTA updates of htc in india if it is a sprint rom?
4)If not can i install an asian or indian Stock ROM? and will i loose Harmon kardon settings with that?
If i install this RUU Sprint_HTC_One_M8_HK_4.25.654.14_RUU from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173
will it be OK?
If i run this RUU http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-m8-harman-kardon-edition-sprint/news/ will i be gettin all sims working on it? or only USA sprint?
I am sorry for so many questions but i dont want to brick my phone.

1. Easiest way to go back to stock is RUU. (you will need to re-lock your bootloader for it to work)
2. If you are sim unlocked as far as I know it's permanent.
3. Yes you should.
4. If they are Sprint compatible then yes. You will most likely loose your HK setting.
Both RUU's you link to are the same, you need to be sim unlocked to get all sims working.
thanks mate

Hello, i've bought a HTC One X9 dual sim with preinstalled firmware "2.15.401.1" wich is based on marshmallow.
I've unlocked the phone via HTC Dev and flashed TWRP 3 via fastboot.
Now i've done a few modifications in the language .xml files at system/customize/CID and after that my phone doesn't boot.
I see only the HTC Logo, but no sound or animation.
I can't find a ruu or a other way to restore the stock firmware.
I have a TWRP backup, but it doesn't help me.
Can anyone help me?
I think you have to lock your phone back and install original recovery then run factory reset

Hello folks, i am new to HTC devices. I researched and couldn't be sure what am i suppose to do.
My device is.
*S-OFF
*SuperCID
*Locked
*Stock Recovery
*Not Rooted
I am planning to do these:
1- Unlock the device
2- Install TWRP
3- Get any TWRP backup from here(http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/tutorial-how-to-stock-stock-twrp-t3086860)
4- Install the Backup
Is these steps correct?
The backup in step 3 you are planning will not work those are from GSM devices, everything you do to your phone needs to be Sprint compatible meaning you HAVE to use Sprint firmware, RUU, ect.
I would suggest staying within the Sprint sub-section for any plans you have for your device.

Changing MID, CID, ect will not magically turn your Sprint device into a GSM/International device.
MY advice is to change everything back to Sprint or you will run into more problems down the road.
Edit SuperCID is pretty much useless for Sprint devices.

Unlock the device.
Install TWRP and backup your current situation just in case.
Flash MM firmware first with FUU and then flash MM Stock Rom with RUU.
Install TWRP if gone.
Flash this ROM https://basketbuild.com/devs/Captain_Throwback/One (M8)/Sprint_only/ROMs/6.20.654.3. (Harman Kardon)
GSM is working.

Thank you so much. Got it working with viper's from too.
Viper's rom didn't work for me, gsm did not work. Maybe because i got fake IMEI.
