Hi!
I have testet lollipop in the past, but now changed back to kitkat, because i was dissappointet with lollipop. (Batterylife..)
I than rootet my phone, and installed the prerootet Version 23.0.1.A.5.77.
After the system was ready, i restored some apps with the programm "super backup".
Some day´s there was no problem at all with it.
Then google play store informed about new updates.
But now the situation is as followed:
Only apps that i don´t restored with "super backup" are updating properly.
On Apps that i restored, i get a error message.
The play store downloads the update, then shows that it install it, but then after some seconds it shows the error that there is not enough free space.
For the record. i have no space problem.. in normal.
Internal space: 11,57 GB / Available: 6,92 GB
SD Card: 59,45 GB / Available: 28,29 GB
Also a deinstallation of the app, don´t helps.
Sure i can then install the app new from beginning, but i also get there the error message from above.
Can anyone guess whats the reason for this is?!
Thanx and cu

Hello all,
I am now facing the installation problem on Google Maps after my Galaxy Note has been installed "ROCKET-v22-LA4-eybee1970". After I found the Google Maps could not be updated, I have been uninstalled it by using the Titanium backup "free version". Then, I go back to the Market and try to re-install it. Despite many attempts, installation failed with the same box appeared to tell me [Error - Unknown error code during application installation:"-8" ].
Please tell me what to do?
With so many thanks.
I had the same problem. I guess I forgot to convert the Map to "user app" before I deleted it with Titanium backup. (To convert to and from user/system app in TB, long press the Map application and choose convert to user app or vice versa)
When I forgot the above routine and got the same error as you, downloaded http://www.mediafire.com/?qx0x8bu3oag9u0b and installed it. Then converted to system app. Now version 6.3 was updated without any problems through the market as well!
Thanks. It's really worked. With many many thanks.
i use link2sd with external 2nd mount... most of my apps are linked to external mount..... using stock app, i deleted gtalk a while ago, i flashed via WCM gapps again and everything installed correclty, still tweetdeck and viber dissapeared (are the only ones i notice since i use them a lot) now whenever i try to install viber via google play, it says "error missing shared library" i think i has something to do with the linking in link2sd ... but i dont know how to solve it, anyone has info on this ???
TLDR: cant install apps, stock 2.3.6 ktm release, using link2sd....
[Q] False "Insufficient storage" error - can't install Foldermount, nothing works
OK, on SOME apps, but not others, I can't install them because of the dreaded "insufficient storage available" error (and yes, I have tons of storage available - 3.12gb, and an SD card with 30gb). I mainly want it for Foldermount which is a whopping 1.26MB or something like that. Titanium Backup says the same thing too But hey, if I want to install GTAIII it works, it is not purely a size issue.
I'm rooted, standard Xperia firmware.
Here is what I've tried after two days of research:
- Clearing the dalvik cache with root explorer
- Uninstalling updates for google play store & google services
- Removing my google account and re-adding
- Removing any .odex files related to the apps
- Sideloading the app rather than rely on the Play store (different error message, same problem - "Foldermount could not be installed. Free up some space and try again.")
- LuckyPatcher (this can be used for piracy so not discussing it further, but for the record it runs into the same problem)
Other things I've seen suggested or seem random that I have tried:
- Setting to "automatic date and time" (done, no difference)
- Trying it over mobile data vs wifi (Waste of time)
- Link2SD's storage location settings (well, I don't have Link2SD, I installed it and App2SD isn't supported on the ZR so I can't change anything)
Apps that won't work due to this problem that I am desperate for:
- Foldermount
- Marketfix
- Titaniumbackup
Do these have something in common related to storage? How the hell do I sort this out?
Help, please! I'm desperate here! :crying::crying::crying:

kidnly check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317432 and make sure busybox is updated and root is running 100%, I'm currently on 4.3 with 100% working foldermount
Same Problem
I have the same problem, but just a different device. I have an LG Optimus L90 and i have 1.82GB available, but i just cant download folder mount. Please tell me if you found a fix
I'm new here but i wanna know why you remove odex files from the phone
May be it's the problem
I think you need to factory reset and try gain (to install folder mount & other apps)
Or you will need to flash the rom again
I have the same problem when free space of the internal storage drops to around 500MB. Usually I free up spaces used by app caches. I use Disk Usage to easily find which apps take up the space.

Didn't know where to post this, it seems a problem online but I cannot narrow down a solution that isn't for a specific device.
HTC One International version, running Android 4.3 Elegancia 13
Everytime I try to install the Whatsapp application, it states "insufficient storage" when I do have about 4gb of storage left.
It happened when I tried to update the application, so I uninstalled and the same error popped up.
Any ideas on fixing? I cleared the cache on Google Play Services, and data but that just screwed up Android Device Manager...
Thanks guys
PS: I have contacted Whatsapp, they're useless.
find & delete .odex whatsapp file
or try reflashing your ROM
See solution below.
First the problem:
-------------
I have Xposed installed in CM11 on my moto razr M. All was working fine, as far as I could tell.
Recently, I ran out of space for apps.
I think that while space was low I did try to install an Xposed module. I did install link2sd (to free space), but it wasn't activated, because I don't have a second partition. I uninstalled it.
I removed some apps, so that now space for apps is available again.
However, in Xposed, when I try to download and install a module, the installer is started, but then I get the
error dialog "Out of space - [module name] couldn't be installed. Free up some space and try again. [cancel] [manage apps]"
I have 840MB out of 1.4GB available on /system, 1.6GB of 4.6GB on /data (which also is the emulated sdcard)
I can't see any suspicious messages in the Xposed log, and I don't know what to look for in the system log.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall Xposed, I uninstalled all modules I didn't need. But, the error message persists.
-----------
It turns out that when I installed and tried link2sd, I played with the setting "native app2sd settings"->install location. I set it to "external" instead of "automatic". When I set it back to "automatic" my problems stopped.
