That's how the OP was able to enable it, but the question is how to disable it now that it has been activated. I have yet to find a way, so as far as I can tell, you can't.

FINALLY I GOT MY PERFORMANCE MODE HEHEHE
http://en.miui.com/thread-98838-1-1.html, perform the verification and can on performance mode is enabled.

Great! Cheers for that. Managed to get 59k. But the funny thing is that the app is just a workaround as the option is still missing from the settings, I reckon they have done this so the 810 doesn't overheat.

Do you mean Settings > Additional settings > Battery > Power > Battery profiles > Add profile?
There is no option for the CPU setting on Chinese Developer ROM

Yes, there actually is. Go to the Security app > battery > battery profiles > Add profile. From there you cant select performance or balanced mode when you create the new profile.

No, I am using the developer rom and I do have the option. It's the latest version. I have no explanation as to why the option isn't available for you.

Good point. If you don't want calls or notifications (which he said he didn't), just use airplane mode and turn on wifi.

[GUIDE] How To Show Battery Percentage in Notification Bar

Maybe this is obvious for some, for others, maybe not.
Just another option for a different battery notification.
1. It lives in something called the System UI Tuner
2. To turn on System UI Tuner, you'll have to enable the developer options on your Android 6.0 Marshmallow device. To do this, head into Settings, 'About Phone'. At the bottom of the list you'll see the "build number" for your device software. Tap on this repeatedly and it will unlock the developer options that will be added to the settings menu.
3. Enable System UI Tuner. Swipe down the Quick Settings panel and you'll see the settings gear icon at the top of the display. Press and hold this.
It appears at the bottom of the settings menu.
4. Open up this menu and you'll find a range of options. Toggle "show embedded battery percentage" and you'll get the battery figure added to the icon, so you can always glance at it.
That's it!
You have to keep System UI Tuner enabled in order for the % to show.
Pull down quick notification panel
Press battery icon
On a upper right you will see 3 icons:
Refresh/battery/settings dot's
Press battery icon.
You have 4 choices of battery style.
No need to activate system UI menu.

I concur with the above statement as I was also a bit disappointed about no percentage inside the circle. I also missed hearing about this feature as well. So I think a few of you who thanked the guys trying to say that OP was wrong need to thank the OP and remove your thanks from a quote that obviously was done without fully understanding OP's @vikeor point.... LOL :good:
Thanks! I hated having just the battery percentage on my notification area. I was also disappointed that embedded %age in circle option wasn't there. That used to be my go to battery view. Now i have it back. Thanks to you.
I activated system ui tuner but I deactivated it (upper right) and now even with the long press on the icon, it don't appear, just open the setting and go directly at the bottom but without system ui tuner.
It's not that I want it, I just wonder why I can't make it appear anymore (but I won't activate it in the end).

Developer Mode Not Showing

I have the SM-N9600 model on TMO, running 8.1, and not rooted.
I tapped the Build Number repeatedly to turn on Developer Mode, and I accessed it the first time, but now it's not showing up anyplace. Also, when I try to redo it again, a little pop up says it's already been enabled.
Anyone have any ideas about this?

On the US Carrier version (SM-N960U), it's the very last settings section.
Guessing you've already scrolled down/looked around/etc...... just giving you where it's at on another model variant for reference.

i was having the same issue, you tap the build number 7 times it says developer mode enabled. But when you scroll down, it's not there! What you need to do once developer mode enabled, you need to hit home button, close all tabs! Then go back into settings it will be the very last tab at the bottom!! I think it’s a bug!

Sux that you had to use a work-around,but,it beats doing a factory reset to see if you could get it back in the typical fashion.
I've ran into some weirdness w/Dev Options on other mfgs, ranging from the placement to some really weird WTH's fromOppo/Vivo that are worthy of another discussion.
If you happen to find Dev Options located somewhere else in the settings (about phone/etc...) or,it pops-up out-of-the-blue,please keep us posted. :good:

Next scroll down until you see section called settings, it's blue/white. Open that up then tap developer menu. Voila you will have a shortcut to what your having trouble reaching the usual way.

Notification LEDs

Guys, silly question. Do we have any notification LEDs? Can't find it. Please help. Hahaha.
I use this : Always on Edge
Watch some youtube videos on it if you feel its a little complicated or overwhelming but once you get used to it, it's really easy. Works great. Make sure to set it to manual in Huawei's app launch section so that it can run constantly.
Problem with that is that I first have to tap the apps overlay away before I can fingerprint unlock my device, is there a setting so it works at once as before?

And can you set it up edge lighting to repeat every minute or so until you read or dismiss notification?

My personal experience, there's hardly any drain. I set it to turn off at 12am and turn back on at 7am. Sometimes i see 1% , sometimes i dont even see it in the usage tab. Maybe because i don't have many incoming messages but hye, it's really battery friendly.
Yes, you can set repeat, max 2 minutes. So every too minutes it will remind you.
Check the settings of the apps, there's plenty of control.
Also make sure to turn off automatic power management for that app else the p30 pro will put it to sleep.
I'm not able to use it anyway. I use NoLED fron XDA and it works well.

NoLed app can be obtained via apkmirror but development for it has be halted. Also to dismiss the notification, you'd need to swipe up. Would have been nice if they added double tap to dismiss or something similar.

I don't know what's wrong. Guess I'll stick with always on. Shame because I really like app!
I worried me AOE, however, no matter what I set it will not show me.
Can someone help me with the settings?
Can enyboy share good LED notification here? NoLed no longer available on XDA or i can't finde it.
Maybe this should help those with issues
Hey JJay666 Thanks for your quick reply.
I can not select the first option under permission.
Where or what do I have to change?

It should bring you straight to the permission menu when you click it. If you think you messed something up, then clear data and cache for AOE. Re-launch the app again and do it step by step. Works here on my end without any issue.
The access notification access, enter settings and search Notification Access, then give permission to AOE.
I cant find this Option to aktivate

I found it on Google it should of been there.
#UPDATE#
I have found a temporary solution.
Install Vanced Manager and install Micro G, it will give you notification on the status bar, click it and you will be able to access that menu.
Running One UI 4
Go to Settings then Battery and Device Care.

What's next?
I don't find any option to disable the app optimization? There are some apps I need to manage since Samsung always kills it and I don't get any notifications
Go to Settings, then Apps, tap 3 dots (upper right) then Special Access, then Notification Access.

Since Gmail is part of the system app you can't change the battery optimization. The way around this is to delete the app via adb and then reinstall via play store. This way you get the battery optimization option in the app.
This setting can be made in app settings of Gmail app itself. Though app info (long press app in app drawer, press (i) in top right corner), Battery, choose Unrestricted.

Thanks guys. Will try and report back. Just wondering if they removed that option from special access menu.
Been there since one UI 2 and was still present before I upgraded to UI 4
i was wondering where this setting was as well, ever since ive updated to android 12 the majority of my widgets for various apps have stopped updating, Samsung seems to have got a lot more aggressive in killing apps with this version

Hi, it didn't work. The app still got killed even though on the unrestricted. I need Spotify & YouTube to be not killed since I use them when I am driving.
Weird I can't find that special menu anymore after the update!

Hi, I am on One UI 4.1 (on the S20 FE). I have installed vanced manager and microG as you asked. However, I am not able to see the Notification or "Optimize battery usage" in the settings. What do I do from here?
Thanks.

You'll need to open the MicroG & log in to your Google account. Then it should have the notification just like the screenshot I shared. From there you can access that option

In Samsung S21 UItra, it’s very easy to find a battery optimization option.
Step 1:
Go to "Settings" and click on "Device Care".
Tap ‘Optimize now’ to optimize your ‘Battery’, "Storage", "Memory" and "Security".
Step 2:
In 'Battery', tap ‘See more’ to go to Settings and click on ‘Sleeping apps’.
Tap ‘Add’ to select apps you want in sleep status, then tap ‘Add’ once again.
Clean up unused apps and features.
Go to ‘Device care’ in ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Battery’. and then ‘Battery usage’.
Click on ‘See more’ and tap ‘Hide OS and system apps’ Check battery usage and details of apps actually in use.
