Hello everybody, yesterday I was flashing a 5.0 rom and I flashed the gpt.bin, making a hard brick. When I made the same with my moto x 2013, i flashed a blank bootloader, in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/how-to-resurrecting-bricked-moto-x-t2629057. Exist any solution for New Moto X, if no, I can replace my motherboard with a new and my cell will work again?
Sorry for the bad English, I`m from Brazil and my Keyboard is a rubbish!!

What model Moto X 2014 do you have and is the bootloader unlocked?
Can you get into bootloader mode? Have you tried pressing and holding volume down + volume up + power and holding for about 4 seconds and then releasing?

AFAIK that only works for the Moto X 2013 b/c of the hardware differences.

My Moto is the XT1097 Retail BR 32Gb, my bootlaoder is unlocked, but i can`t get into my bootlaoder mode, and pressing the volume down + volume up + power not power up too. I think the only way to get him back to life is replacing the motherboard.

Have you downloaded Motorola Device Manager to your computer? Does it detect your device when you connect it to your computer?
If MDM does not detect your device and you can't get into bootloader mode, I don't have any suggestions for you.
Are you still in warranty? Can you see about getting a warranty replacement?

Also - if the problem is all software, I believe the device can be relashed by Motorola. It may be cheaper than getting a new motherboard.
I believe they have these devices JTAG that allow them to reflash the bootloader and partition table to the device. A repair shop may be able to do it for you, too. They need to open up the device to do it.

I will try to activate my warranty, but if i can`t i will see with motorola Brazil the cost of the repair, because I don`t know what is the price of the repair.
Thanks for the attention!

Definitely get a repair quote from Motorola if they aren't going to cover it under warranty - a local repair shop may be cheaper.

Hey, did you actually succeeded in unbricking Moto x 2013? I followed the same link. Hostage released but no boot up. Any idea or is there anything I am missing? Email is [email protected]
I Missed What I have done

Unfortunately, we do not have the blankflash files for the Moto X 2014. They have them for the Moto X 2013 so that is why they can fix their devices.
Can you get a warranty replacement from Motorola? That is the best option if you can get one.
Also, ask motorola to release the files for the 8974 processor. These are the files that we need:
MPRG8974.hex
8974_msimage.bin
(may be named MSM8974.bin or MSM8974_bootloader_singleimage.bin)
You can also ask for the files in this thread: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/b6cb5537f5
Are these the files that are needed?
Hi guys, I'm having the same problem with the xt1097.... searching (a lot) this last 3 days I found this website:
bbs.nubia.cn/thread-416486-1-1.html
In this website is a tutorial to get Z7 max back to life, and curiously (I might be wrong) but works with pretty similar specs as motorola, and actually usess the MSM8974. Hence I' uploading this files that you say. I've alrady tried on my phone but it get stucked with the following in the eMMC Software Downloader app:
Device mode = Sahara on port 10000
server event monitor enabled
path for selected COM port = "_HCD7!dev:0"
server event 1 10000 0 0
Timeout waiting for device
device wait found 0 0
files: mega.nz/#F!wddCjQDb!raPwHpa7bTJHh4mRuJ9nMA
So, Hope this can be helpfull and someone say how to use those files.
Those files won't help. We need the ones for this phone. Files from any other phone will not work.
Sent from my XT1095 using Tapatalk
:/ that's sad. For a minute I had a hope. No choice but to wait a miracle.
Hello everyone.
I know there is a user who asked, but no answers given to him in 2014, now in 2016 I'm asking again.
Last night was doing downgrade in my XT1069 Android BR 6.0 to 4.4.4 factory, so far so good, worked normal. From the moment I was installing the OTA's, when arrived at the time of the OTA 22:21:28, finishing the process, the phone does not start, I believe that corrupted the bootloader.
Recognizes "qhsusb-bulk" as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008".
After so see that this is common, and it's hard to find a "programmer.mbn" compatible, I wonder if there is a solution, without having to replace the motherboard?
I took a look at "QPST program", "flashblank", "qboot" but unfortunately walked working with who has the "Moto X" and some users "Moto G 2013".
Is there any way back up the eMMC from another device?
Welcome to the hard bricked Moto G 2014 club!
We need a "blank flash" image to unbrick our Moto G 2014, but Motorola doesnt want to release it
There is a lot of people that have the same problem, atm there is no solution unfortunately

Unfortunately it does not work on Moto G 2014.
I saw this page, until it seems to work, but unfortunately the motorola does not release the programmer.mbn compatible with "blankflash", "qboot", "QPST", anyway.
One morning i restarted my phone( Moto G 2nd gen.) with Android Marshmallow because it went slow, but after that it restarted in fastboot mode when i pressed the power on button. Normal startup or recovery were also not working.
I checked this forum, then unlocked the bootloader and downgraded to Android 4.4.4 . My phone operated well, then at night it started asking for lollipop update again and again, i allowed for OTA update (that was my biggest mistake), and after downloading the data and during update, my phone went off and didn't start again.
Although the indicator light glows solid for sometime when connected to wall charger or to PC via USB cable.
I have tried blankflash, ADB and fastboot utility, Volume down + Power combination, pressing power button for over 120 seconds, but all in vain.....
Please suggest me a way to solve this problems, i have important data in my phone and i want to save those too.
Welcome to the hardbrick club ^^
They all did the same mistake like you did. When you go throught the motoG Threads you will see all did the same.
The only solution is a clean flash what is not given from motorola for moto g2. The only existing is for moto g what did not work for our phones
Feel blessed, you don't have to use moto g anymore.

I tried with blankflash which supports android 4.4 but not 5.0, so it must be a requiring MBM-CI 5.0 ? is it available or any expected month of arrival?

. I wish I could say it was, but unfortunately Motorola won't release this file. There have been some serious attempts to solve this problem but none have succeeded.. As far as I know the only way to fix this problem is by getting a new motherboard..
Hellow
friend, do not know if motorola and released this file, or if there are already solution ?, I appreciate your answer

if you from another region then need to wait for blank flash zip
There are some methods to extract the partition layouts...one can be using dd cloning & extracting img files...another can be through B2bSupportLg Tool, also calleld BoardDiag. It does have MSM8226 chipset option, but that device is W7 G2MDS. Take a working Moto G 2014 from someone, ask them to use this tool to extract the partition schemes, then you'll get .mbn files, especially prog_emmc_filehorse_msm8226.mbn . Use that to dump into the bricked device using either QFIL Tool or use this blankflash tool, replace it's singleimage files with the one you got, then execute blank-flash.bat.
Also I had some emmc prog firehorse files, all 4 related to 8x26...You can try those & confirm me if they work or not
Okay so I have looked up online and found several sixes with clearing the data out of the phone menu also the SIM Toolkit the bootloader ect.... I've done them all with no success! I would just do a factory reset if i had any chance of recovering my business files from the device after. since i have no chance of that I'm turning here. Please help and thanks in advance if your able
Wait, this forum is for Moto X 2013 only.

Hi all,
I had recently gotten a moto X (XT1060 Verizon Variant) from a friend who said that it had died during a software update and it never came back. I have tried to bring it back via the HOW TO (resurrecting a bricked moto X) thread on here with no luck, now I was wondering If there was anyone out there who still has this device and is willing to upload a rawprogram0.xml and patch0.xml, or at least direct me to a site that possibly has them, so I could try and bring it back through the qualcomm flash image loader. If anyone already has these files, please let me know!
Thanks!!
