Hi,
You just want the product type or completely the value of this registry key?
If you want the value of this registry key, it depends of most things. The value depends of the product type and of the product code.
Say what is the product type and product code of these three devices.

Only some people seem to be experiencing it. A fairly popular solution is to stick a piece of paper in the small hole at the top, rear of the device. I haven't tested it personally.

The password for this menu on the Milestone hasn't been found yet, as far as I know. Even if it was, I don't believe the same tweak for call quality found on the Droid would be applicable on the Milestone. As far as I know, it's specific to the Verizon network.
All that said, this is the wrong section.
sry...
thank for the info
by the way, your thinking maybe my service provider (Cellcom) have this code?
some pp'l told me that the SPC code is just Residue of the Droid'd software
is it true? they are diffrent beyond GSM\CDMA?
regards

I believe only Motorola has this code. The differences between the Milestone and Droid certainly go beyond the radios they use (GSM/CDMA)
The Milestone is locked down, Motorola doesn't want anybody to modify it. The Droid was released as a Google phone, which means it's allowed to be modified any way the user wishes. The Programming menu (what you want the password for) is one of the tools that let you change some otherwise-hidden settings that Motorola doesn't want you to change.

[Finish] IMEI Change for Xiaomi mi3 w ARE possible!

Hi there!
I want to change my - I think - hardcoded IMEI into my chip qualcomm snapdragon 801 2,27 GHZ with android 4.4.4 and german decuro rom with root access onto.
But the threat -...de.robv.android.xposed.installer - and the app - ...com.vivek.imeichanger - don't work on my phone.
Does this -...qualcomm-snapdragon-imei-tamiri-ders-1 - work for me?
Or does someone know about a solution because I need them to see a simular IMEI from my nokia 3720 for my provider in my company.
kind regards!
It's actually illegal to change the IMEI, so we can't really help you with this. AFAIK though, there is currently no way to change the IMEI on the Mi3 without some expensive hardware.

whichever some expensive hardware do you mean? thank for reply! kind regards!
As already said it's illegal. So you should not ask here on XDA.
There is an other way but will not tell it.
As stated this is illegal and against XDA rules. Thread closes

They're the same except for some smaller differences.
Basically it comes down to BIG phone or less big phone? The 1520 is better, but only if you can take the size.
Hi Titi66200, Thank you so much for the specification, any more suggestion you would like to sugest before I purchase this phone. Or any better phone you want to recommend at the same cost.
Thanks
-Megawhite
Hi Xandros, Thanks for helping me out. Do you have any experience of using 1520? I am asking this because earlier i was using a higher model of some other mobile company and it offen hangs, this is why I want to switch into the Nokia. What you say?
Thanks

Unlock Bootloader of Lumia 640 LTE

Hey,
I`d like to unlock the bootloader of my Lumia 640 LTE, and eventually root it afterwards. (Maybe with WPInternals)
The problem is now: I haven't found any tutorials for this mobile. But it should be possible, because @djamol wrote that he had an unlocked Lumia 640...
Any tips into this?

most info i can find say theres no way to unlock it atm... djamol had stated that it was a slightly different method then WPInternals and stated it was unreleased atm which indicates its a private hack (or it might be not true... who knows) for the time being. unless someone else knows something that makes my statements invalid (with proof) or can add helpful info then its a wait and see at the moment im in the same boat to so don't feel bad lol.

"QC_Reference_Phone"

Hi!
I just got my OnePlus 3T about a week ago and i noticed something strange. I installed CPU-Z on it, everything else seems fine but under the Device tab, the Board name shows up as "QC_Reference_Phone" instead of "MSM8996" and its the same on CPU-X and Aida64 as well.
I have no Idea what it means. I looked it up but can't seem to find anything.
Does anyone else have the same thing or is it just me ? And can someone give me an explanation of what it means?
I'm on OxygenOS 4.0.2 Nougat if you need to know.
Such information is hardcoded into the hardware. "QC_Reference_Phone" means it's a modified Qualcomm SoC. I believe OnePlus just forgot to insert a suitable description. This has been mentioned on the OnePlus forum.

I see. So is there any way to make the app report the correct name ? or any apps which would show the actual board name ?

I don't think it's "hardcoded in hardware" - it's just another ro property:
Get you phone rooted, get a prop editor (or any text editor, if you know how to remount /system rw; or start the text editor from within a root enabled file browser) and change ro.product.board to whatever you want...
EDIT: you need to reboot, since read only properties can't be changed with setprop.
...change it to "oneplus7" and post screenshots of CPU-Z - I'm sure some peoples attention will be with you... *lol*

A build.prop value was the first thing that came to my mind as well and there IS one property that allows you to modify the board name indeed but i posted the same thing on other places as well and everyone seems to be saying its hardcoded but the apps just read it off the build.prop. I sent a mail to the OP Support as well, waiting for a reply from them to just confirm this thing and get it off my mind for good.
And as for the other thing. It's a pretty good idea haha but i doubt anyone would fall for it. Editing the build properties is fairly common and anyone would see right through it xD

Let me put it this way: maybe it's written in sillicon - but the property comes out of system/buid.prop of the flashable zip and it is changeble in build.prop.
I have the unpacked 4.0.2 ota full zip on my disc:
Code:
[email protected] /usr/local/src/oxygenos-4.0.2 $ grep ro.product.board system/build.prop
ro.product.board=QC_Reference_Phone
[email protected] /usr/local/src/oxygenos-4.0.2 $
I wouldn't think too much about it. I think it's because OnePlus's sources are based on caf sources - which doesn't know of OnePlus and just call msm8996 based phones QC_Reference_Phone.
If you are in contact with OnePlus regarding this matter, I would be interested how to read such information directly from the soc.
