Damn! Surely no one could build software that allows you to unlock the bootloader higher than 11w29? And make it free for people who suffer! Why are the owners of 11w29- happy freeloading, and we spent ... ( Now I have a 11w46 and I do not even know I can unlock the bootloader or not, because they never found the information about the 11w46 ... Can anyone be able to communicate clearly to me and describe poshagavo then at least all of the options unlock the free and paid, except those which are 100% turn my phone into a brick? My hands grow from there, hence the need, the head is clear, so no need to write me messages about what grows where my hands)))
Maybe this can help :
All Xperia 8 phones BEFORE 11W29 have a SECURITY HOLE and that allowed users to bypass the Locked Bootloader, essentially UNLOCKING it!
A lot of Xperia 8 phones AFTER 11W29 don't have that security hole BECAUSE Sony FIXED it in MOST devices!
Help?

Pretty annoying if you consider Sony could spend money on petty things (like "fixing" the bootloader) but won't spend twat on updating the firmware, whilst churning out phones they were certain not to support. Grossly unfair. They won't update the phone; now they ensure you can't either
If you missed to patch your security holes, someone will definitely take advantage.
I'm not against Sony nor support them but every company has its own protocol and business strategies.
Im sorry to hear that but thats the reality.
I did it!
Really! Today, risking my phone, I decided to unlock my bootloader 11w46! And I have successfully turned out. Apparently, Sony Ericsson is really solved the problem with the hole in the security of chip on some models))) What a joy it was for me! I love Sony!!!!!!! =) Only with you all my life...!!!
If only there was a way to check if you can unlock your bootloader safely. Other than the manufacture date...

It seems the Jail Break/Root is coming to Windows Phone 8 soon. It may free more features from wp8. Looking forward to it.

Yeah, the closest we have right now is the capability-unlock for Samsung phones. That's not a full root (working on it!) and beyond that, we have almost nothing.

Anyone find any new news on this so called "920 Unlock" that has been claimed it will be released soon ? If this is true, this could open the doors to most WP devices...
The only thing I saw was Ultrashot saying it was a Riffbox "hack" (meaning you'd need to have some special hardware and probably physically open up your phone, to do it).

its also unbelievably dodgy if you don't know what your doing.
You effectively connect directly to the ROM chip, an I mean that in a physical sense and rewrite any data you want, you can "root" anything doing this as you'll bypass any security measures, its just a matter of getting the correct software to flash on to the thing that's tricky, oh and the small matter cracking open your device, locating the chip, working out the necessary configurations to power it up and flash it
I did some research on this for the focus S and yes its possible but its way beyond my abilities

It's dispointing for sure....All I want is 3 rows of tiles and custom colors on my 928.... is this too much to ask ? (Not at Devs at Microsoft)...
Then get the ATIV Odyssey, which I just unlocked InteropUnlocked Sunday, except three tiles might be overkill on a 480x800 screen. O_0
I haven't updated to GDR3 yet because I'm not sure how to avoid Diagnosis' changes once I update.
It's been updated with a XAP...

any idea if it's any good or if we need an account to download it ?

If you are 8.1 user use custom wpsystem and customPFD
also you can use resource hacker of djamol after that . Using resource hacker is not maybe very safe for this time so wait for it
Note that djamol's hacks don't make a complete root, though they are the closest thing that is public right now for a Lumia like yours. Nobody's going to say anything about a full root until it's ready, and ideally not even then not until after a major update (to give the most possible time before MS <REDACTED>s us over with an update that takes away control of our personal devices again).
Hi how are you ?
in my previous phone HTC 8x when the called answer, the phone vibrate ,but in my new phone Nokia Lumia 1320
does not do that.
is there any way or tool to make this happen ??
No. I'm assuming it's an HTC exclusive feature that is done through firmware or their special program. Unless we get interop unlock for WP8.1 on Lumia devices, there is probably no luck at all in bringing that feature unless Microsoft/Nokia does themselves. Maybe try contacting Nokia to have them know of this good feature?

I have some AT&T S5's that I have acquired and they seem to have a custom firmware of some kind. Possibly an unlocked bootloader? Just curious as to what I have. I have included a picture of the boot screen.
The bootloader's are unlocked!!!!!! I managed to flash twrp on it and it is working properly!
I noticed it says Modeeveloper under the download mode. Maybe there's a way to figure how these are unlocked.
I have about 40 of these. Devs pm me if interested.
I know somebody with the same problem, started the other day. BS the bootloader is unlocked.. Whatever it is, it has hijacked the phone to the point that it freezes on the boot animation and loops. Tell me, how do you come into 40+ devices with this issue and why are you trying to offload them as if they're something special?

Hello everyone
As i've had trouble lately to receive the bootloader unlock code from Huawei. I wrote them an email, and this was their response.
"Thank you for contacting Huawei Support UK and for the provided details.
In response to your enquiry, we would like to inform you that the unlock code application service has ended, as of July 25th 2018, to ensure user experience and safety. Moreover, unlocking the bootloader of a device voids the warranty and it wasn’t recommended since it was the source of multiple software issues due to unauthorized software modifications.
Huawei used to provide users with corresponding unlock codes to meet personalized requirements due to the usage of different ROMs, which is an extra service and does not belong to consumers' rights.
However, due to possible problems caused by unlocking your device (such as system built-in function failure, device freezing, and power consumption increase) we will no longer provide the code.
Should you have any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We wish you a nice day!"
So, as of now. The only way to get the bootloader unlock code, is to use dc-unlocker or any other software that can handle the task
Have a great day!

Yes. At least for now, and at least for Mate 10/Pro. Honor View 10 has problems getting unlock code, same with P20. So for future devices not even dc may work.
And Huawei might just remove unlock from fastboot all together, as its not really needed if you can't use it properly.

They actually removed the option to receive the code for all their devices, which is a shame. It's like they're trying to control its users, with the excuse that it can be unstable.
It's not they're call to make, in my opinion, AND they're even stating that it voids warranty. We know the risks of this, so please stop now Huawei

Yeah, I meant getting unlock code through dc. Honor View 10 L04 can't, some L09 users seem to have trouble as well. P20 can't at all (if I remember correctly). And future devices probably can't either.
Yeah, you got a warning when getting the unlock code from them that it voids warranty. You got a warning when using unlock code on device.
I will not get a Huawei device in the future if I can't unlock it

It states the price on their website.
But about 5 $
Just today I read about Huawei's succes which indicates they became top 2 seller all around the world surpassing Apple. We have been there when Samsung got it's hype and after that invented some bull**** called knox. So, maybe no need to give really significant credit to a company which is going to abuse it.
It's a shame that they have decided to go through this route. I fortunately got my bootloader unlock code for the Lite before it was too late, and I'm keeping it in two different locations, accessible online, until my warranty is over. That's how protective I am of the code. I certainly don't like that we'd have to rely on dc-unlocker's paid services to do what we were able to do for free.

For free? Sounds too good to be true, though make no mistake, I wish it's too good and true.
Update. As of BLA-C432B145+ you can't use DC/HCU to get unlock code. FW prior to this should be fine. However, downgrading seems to be no go either as B145 is now approved for installation in eRecovery (at least for me, was B137 a couple of weeks ago)
I'm not sure which build on other custs, but I guess you can check release date and compare.
If I can't root, I won't buy a phone. Huawei, I love your hardware, but if you stick by this decision it's goodbye for me when I next upgrade.
This decision Huawei made is completely sad, and irritating. They're decreasing the user made choixes, which should not happen. Android was build open, to advance user made choices and problems. If this stays. They're not worth my money anymore

Clarification: You can still downgrade using NoCheck recovery or HuRUpdater, but that requires an already unlocked bootloader.
I did downgrade yesterday to BLA-L29C432B142, and there you can still get unlock code using HCU.
FH can't downgrade either apparently, so Huawei probably added a check to eRecovery that prevents downgrading :/
Also, the backdoor that DC-phoenix/FH Rebrand tool uses is broken as well in B145 (I assume B145, I'm on B148 and here it's not working).
I was seconds away from pulling the trigger on a Mate 10 Pro. Then I saw this. No way will I ever buy a Hauwei now. So dumb.

Hcu-client. Its made by DC unlocker but supports newer phones. Newer firmware has closed the way they use to get unlock code though (may firmware or earlier will work, June works on some custs)
So it's possible to unlock the bootloader if new fresh mate 10 pro out of the box before update ? On alternative ROM's post, they say it's over like there is no alternative.
