Hi Guys!
I have S3 LTE GT-i9305
I had phone rooted working fine but decided to go back to stock! (don't know why?)
So I downloaded Germany firmware from SamMobile 4.4
Used Odin to flash stock firmware. It went successful. It started and stuck on Samsung logo. I downloaded another firmware (Optus - 4.3) but it failed. ---- error - SW Rev. Check fail. Device 3 Binary 2
Before I break something else CAN YOU GUYS HELP PLEASE.
SOLVED
sorry guys. went to recovery and wiped cache/factory reset. turned on - it is working.
One more question.
Would Germany firmware work in Australia - OPTUS network?

Hello,
I've got a Samsung Galaxy Ace bought
from Phones 4 u about a year ago. It
came with Android 2.3.3 out of the box
and has been fine. I'm using an O2 Sim
Card (phone was bought on O2 PAYG) but
appears to be a generic unlocked phone
(XEU). Details are:
PDA: S5830XWKPY
PHONE: S5830XWKPA
CSC: S5830XEUKP1
I'd been interested lately that a lot of my
friends have got the 2.3.6 upgrade
through Kies, but mine is still waiting -
KIES reports 2.3.3 is the latest for my
phone and an OTA check on the phone
itself says there is no update available. I
investigated further and have found the
following error message displayed on the
Android Recovery screen <3e> (note this
phone has NEVER been flashed or rooted)
-- Appling Multi-CSC --
Can't access to '/system/csc/XEU/
system'.
I'm pretty IT literate and phone savvy but
have no idea what this message means
and wondered if it could be the cause of
me not getting updates. I checked my
wife's Galaxy Y and she does not have
this error message.
Should a phone bought from a store be
showing this message (phone was brand
new and had all the original cellophane
and screen covers intact) Should I take it
back to the store, or try a factory/reset
wipe, or try flashing via ODIN?
Any advice appreciated

Wrong thread buddy. This is Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 Q/A. You can ask this at your device thread's Q/A section. Here is the link,
Galaxy Y Q/A
Hope I Helped
Hi All.
I am looking for help and advice with regarding to re-flashing the stock rom on my wife's Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190N.
The phone in quick is 100% stock, it has never been unlocked and or had any custom rom's installed.
The reason why I wish to reflash the stock rom is due to the phone being stuck in a boot-loop, and not being able to access the boot-loader / factory reset.
I have already download ODIN v3.09, But as the phone does not boot and I can not get into the boot-loader to run any ADB or Fastboot commands, I am unable to find out what the phone was running.
The phone is/was on contract via Tesco Mobile here in the UK, But Tesco's have told my wife that the warranty for her phone has expired.
The only information I have been able to find is via the Odin Mode, but this does not give much.
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I8190N
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: NO
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
HW REV: 0x5

Can anyone here please advice me on how I can find the correct stock rom for this phone.
Thanks for your time.
Best Regards.
Hi,
There's a website called Sammobile where you can download the original firmware of a large number of phones.
Cheers
As said above I do not know what is the correct firmware (rom) to download for this phone.
How can I tell what is the correct firmware (rom) to download?
I have looked on http://www.sammobile.com but there is no firmware (rom) listed for Tesco Mobile.
From my understanding is the the BTU is the unbranded firmware (rom)
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I8190N/BTU/
I8190NXXAMJ2_I8190NBTUAMJ1_BTU.zip
I8190NXXAMG1_I8190NOXXAMG1_BTU.zip
I8190NXXALL6_I8190NOXXALL3_BTU.zip
What will happen if I try and re-flash any of the above files via Odin to the phone, if I pick the wrong file am I going to hard brick the phone?
Thanks for your time.
Best Regards.
Nothing bad will happen if you flash any of the I8190N firmwares.
Thank you for your reply.
I saw in another post that there should be a sticker on the NAND flash memory chip with some details of what was flashed into the chip at the factory, I took the phone apart and sure enough there was indeed a sicker.

So it seems that I was right in guessing to go for the unbranded (BTU) firmware / rom.
Thank you !
Hello community,
I have actually came across a difficult situation with my Galaxy S3 LTE i9305 (international variant).
In order to give you a high level view of what happened im going to write a few topics of what I have flashed to the phone since I bought it (new) back in March 2012:
1. I'm from Portugal and I bought the phone on an online retailer because I wanted the grey version. So far so good I ordered it on the UK.
2. The phone I received, although being unlocked and sealed/new, had software branding from MDA germany.
3. At the time we were on Android 4.1.2. I went to sammobile and installed the TPH version (Portugal) of 4.1.2 in order to have the full stock experience. Eventually I rooted the device.
4. Later on came the 4.3. At the time I was not aware of the bootloader complications and ended installing the UK or German version (clean) that was on Sammobile. Installation went fine and I immediately rooted the device without issues and disabled Knox in the Rom.
5. Yesterday I had this great idea of flashing 4.4 (still unaware of bootloader issues) and downloaded the spankin new 4.4.4. from the nordic countries from sammobile. This is where it gets interesting.
6. I have tried a zillion combinations and either I get stuck on the samsung logo or I get the error of binary 3 and device 2 (or the other way around). All the flashes via ODIN have been done using the AP/PDA option.
What can I do to unbrick it? I don't remember which ROM I flashed for 4.3 and I have tried to flash the german version of 4.4 (set 2014) and the nordic countries one. Also tried flashing 4.1.2 via CWM recovery directly from SD card but still no go and stuck at bootloop. Have also tried software repair using Kies (manually inserting serial number under the battery) and still no go for my dismay...
Is it recoverable? Is there a way to upgrade it to 4.4? If it helps so far I have been able to fash stuff via ODIN and still have download mode. I dont care about data as I did make a backup before setting off on this "adventure"
Thanks in advance.
Eventually solved using Philz recovery. Turns out that during the flash process for some reason the /data partition could not be formatted.
Now recovered and running the clean 4.4.4. of XDA
i recently attempted to downgrade my Samsung Galaxy S5 AT&T (SM-G900A) back to 4.4.2 using odin . After everything was finished , odin told me it failed (succeeded 0 / failed 1)
when i tried to reboot my device , right when i turned it on it said "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again .. I download Kies 3 To my computer and tried to upgrade/update , they told me the lasted stock firmware was 4.4.2 and i tried to update it and they told me that i needed to go to emergency recovery . my device did not show up . Someone please help , i just want my normal phone back

can you post a link to where the lollipop firmware for SM-G900A is? I've been looking around in the general S5 thread, but I still couldn't find it. I'd like to odin lollipop back to my phone. Thank you

They're in the AT&T S5 general section, the S5 general and ATT general section aren't the same.

I have a SM-G900V that was on a custom 4.4.4 ROM. I'm selling the phone and wanted to give a stock but updated phone to the guy.
I downloaded the latest for 6.0.1 for the Verzion G900V and flashed it in Odin. It got a write fail. I tried again and it went further but then got another write fail.
Now when I try to boot the phone it goes to Software update failed error. I can boot again by long holding the power button. The phone is still recognized in Odin.
The bootloader was unlocked
The emmc was 15.
The build number of the custom ROM was: Build: KTU84P- G900VRU1ANI2
I'll keep searching for a solution but the guy I'm selling the phone to is freaking out so any and all help would be much appreciated.
update
I tried flashing the same build as what was on the phone AN12 and it failed with an Auth fail error in Odin. I did some research and saw that could be a CSC problem. I tried using Kies because I read you can find the CSC code that way. I couldn't get Kies to 'talk' to the phone. It saw that a phone was connected but it wouldn't created the connection. I tried firmware recovery but I need the serial number and Samsung in its infinite wisdom doesn't put the serial number on the sticker inside the phone (at least it doesn't on US Verizon).
It's a phone from Verizon (originally bought on contract) in the US and I have been using US Verizon downloads from either updato or sammobile (for the 4.4.4)
I could realy use some help. I'd like not to bork the phone by just trying hail mary solutions.
