For me personally I would pay 399$ for a LTE version (8GB).
LTE
32GB Internal Storage
64GB Internal Storage
MicroSD Card Slot
Easily Removable battery
Bigger Battery size (Maybe 2700 mAh)
Apple logo on the back.
...
Other:
(Micro) HDMI port. Yeah I am sure they included MHL via micro usb port but a hdmi port would of made things easier for me.
Bigger battery or microSD. I don't really care for internal storage when I already have several microSD cards lying around.

It's between 64GB internal or a Micro SD....
MicroSD slot up to 64GB? On my 16GB Sexy Nexy 4? Done deal. Pack up em. I'll take 3.
Removable battery. Which would mean you could put an extended battery in it.

MicroSD slot, no brainer.
LTE would ruin it than add anything, it will cost more, LTE plans cost more, battery life will be less, device will be thicker and it will run warmer.
I'd just want larger storage. A micro sd card slot is nice and all but it ruins the overall design of the phone.

LTE would be nice but it's a deal breaker.
Just give me a bigger battery 2700 mAh. Even if its not as big as I'd like, you can't go wrong with a bigger battery.
LTE would be pointless for UK users like me so that's the absolute bottom of the list for me!!!
More internal storage would be very welcome and benefit everyone.
More internal storage of course.

kind of torn between 32 gigs and bigger battery. i am satisfied in both departments though.
LTE, I already carry a OTG hub for my N7 so I could make due with only 16 GB.
Built in whiskey pourer.
AKA a bigger battery, heh. LTE I can do without and storage limitations can be compromised with. Battery however is something I value very much.

I'd like many things
I'd like LTE.
I'd like more storage
I want a removable battery
I want the stock battery to be massive so I won't have to remove it anyways.
But at the end of the day, the deal breaker for me is the limited storage. 32/64gb versions are nice, but I personally prefer SD cards because they're much cheaper (a few dollars off amazon for a decent 16 gb card vs 30-50, possibly up to 100 dollars [if we're talking apple style] pricing increase for phone storage). I use ATT, which has absolutely cruddy service, and even on LTE my speeds wouldn't be all that higher than HSPA+. I like having a removable battery since I constantly flash roms, and if I get boot loops it's easy for me to just yank the battery. I have no idea what I'd do with a phone without a removable battery source.

It's actually easier on the Nexus 4 lol, just hold down the power button for 10 or 15 secs.
Hi,
anyone have an estimate of how long until some custom roms are posted here on the forums for the Tmobile Note 4?
I am specifically hoping for the ability to swap external and internal storage (Just preordered my SAndisk 512 GB Sd card ) (use via and adapter tucked inside a mugen power battery case)
Kinda just waiting to make the switch from my galaxy S4 to the note 4 until some decent Roms with custom kernels are out there.
If you are looking for custom builds, you should keep an eye on http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/development

actually false it supports my 256 GB card already. The numbers on the boxes are just marketing materials. it will accept anything in the SDXC family which will one day reach 2 TBs.
Now a standard SD card does not fit but via the use of an adapter i can attach a 256 GB card currently and will soon do my 512 GB card.
Adding an extended battery case like mugen power actually gives enough room to fit the extended battery, sd card and adapter.
Couple this with a great custom rom with init.d support and a few extra tweaks in the kernel and I have 512 GBs of usable space for whatever I want without the hassle of moving between internal and external.
Is a 128GB microSD Card Overkill for the Note 4?
Only you know what is on your card and how much of it you have. Some people hoard some don't.

I have a 128GB sd card on my Note 4 and have about 38GB of space remaining. I like to have nandroids of four or five different roms that I can go back and forth on - having a lot of storage makes that easier (of course I also have music and videos and tons of photos )
I have a 16GB card in there now. I got a $20 gift certificate to WalMart and that's all they had in stock when I went, so it's what I got. I plan on getting a 128GB or 64GB card later when money permits. I don't need a whole heck of a lot of space, but I do tend to use my phone as a flash drive on occasion and being able to keep a couple of recent nandroid's for restore purposes is quite handy. That being said I sill have about 8GB of free space on the card now. It has some music, my photo backup and a few APK's I commonly re-install when switching ROM's.
Other than that for my uses I find the built in 32GB to be plenty. My old S3 had 16GB and I didn't have an SD card in it. I never really had space issues.
I appreciate all the replies thus far, never a bad idea to buy a larger capacity microSD when they are on sale. I really don't see any real-world differences between my 64GB Evo and 32GB Pro (both Made by Samsung). Perhaps I should install the Pro on my GoPro Camera instead of the Note 4 and give the Note 4 more storage space, would that seem more feasible?
The Evo is also a Class 10- UHS spec.

I picked up a 64gb for 20$ at best buy during the crazy sales of black Friday.. Yu have to take advantage of those days
http://www.sammobile.com/2015/07/13/exclusive-samsung-galaxy-note-5-confirmed-with-4gb-ram/
Looks like 4GB is the new standard on phones 2015 and forward. I will be opting in for the Galaxy Note 5 when it is released. Anyone else jumping to the Note 5?
if it is dual sim and removable battery never mind the memory card
i definetly wont switch for ram it worths nothing.
I want open a 2nd line with a different service provider, so I will be probably get the Note 5 in October
4GB RAM was a given, what I want is MicroSD slot, 5.9inch Display and 64GB built-in mem.
That's not confirmed. Don't listen to hear say until Samsung announce because hear say always leads to disappointment.
Tbh instead of adding 4 gb of ram they should optimize touchwiz UI & reduce ram usage. Also they should remove those unnecessary bloatware apps.

The only thing I want is for it to have a base of 64gb of storage and not the crappy 32gb.

Is ram issues fixed in this toy? XD
Nope. No sd card slot Or removable battery = no note 5. Samsung don't listen. They just seem to copy. I don't want a big s6 or an iPhone. All they are doing is killing the note.

It seems that internal storage is becoming the standard. Right or wrong, pretty soon all smartphones will only have it and no sd card slot.
Regardless, there are some awesome Android devices coming out soon.
2015 Moto X
2015 Nexus
Note 5
These are my top picks for what I'm looking at getting. We'll probably see the Note 5 first, then Moto X then the Nexus.
If you're looking to keep external storage, you'll have to sacrifice specs and go with either G4 or Note 4.
At least with Android, you can use a USB OTG cable for extra storage and moving files around such as pictures or videos or downloads.

I aont buying a note 5 if there is no sd card support and exchangeable battery.
Seriously guys, all the speculation has to stop....you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Nothing is confirmed until Samsung themselves announce.

I look at it as planning for the future.
Seems like a perfect partner for the Note 8
http://phandroid.com/2017/08/31/sandisk-400gb-microsd-card
ordered.
The specs for the Note 8 says it's able to take a microSD card up to 256GB. Would a 400GB card even be compatible? Are there any hardware limitations that restrict the maximum size of the external storage to 256GB or will the Note 8 take as much storage as you can shove in it?
My Note 3 was supposed to only handle 64 but it reads my 256 with no problems. If anything you can use externally through the usb c with a card reader...there are some low profile ones on Amazon.
It'll take it—I just ordered the card.
Ever since Note 2 I've been using a 512GB SD card—via a MicroSD—SD adapter, no problems…

How do you mean, standard SD of 512 through usb port or modded with an adapter in the MicroSD slot

That is similar to the adapter I linked...I think the Note 8 will handle the 400GB...if it reads 256 natively and can read drives over 1TB via USB, why not right.

Yep, I would bet my paycheck that it will work with no problem. The manufacturers are always conservative with this and i believe primarily because they do not have the newer cards to test extensively while they are developing a new phone.
When Samsung spec'ed this phone the 400gb sd card was not out in the wild yet so i can understand why..plus since Samsung make their own memory and they don't yet have a 400gb microsd card, why promote a card that you don't yet have? :good:
Gnarly card. Considering it. Though Kinda wanna wait for a price drop.
I've used a 2 tb hd with otg on my note 4...

Get to the Choppa!!!! 400GB
Tested the card today. took 6 ish hours from start to finish. the program wrote to all sectors,. filling the card up then verified all sectors could be read.
Photos show the capacity when it was formatted on the pc and when formatted in the note8.
bought it direct from Amazon. it was sold and shipped by them, which is the only way I would go when purchasing an sd card of any size off amazon.
Awesome

Why would you write the whole card to test it? You just slowed it down.
Sent from my LGV20 using yo Mama's unlocked bootloader.
Happy to explain
Appreciate your enthusiasm in why i do things.
I did that to test each sector to make sure the card was legit.
The card has since been reformatted in the phone and is working normally
I think the price around $300 is not fair, 100-150 $ is ok
Agree!
I think the price of the note 8 is outrageous! And this is my first ever Sammy device, but one has to pay to play as the tired cliche goes... :crying:
Love how these cards are actually 512gb, but they reserve 112gb for bad sectors etc
