Is it possible that developer can make TV app to work without internet connection, offline mode for controlling simple TV set (no cable or STB with VOD/EPG services)?
I know it is discontinued by HTC but I really like the layout and customization it provides. I know there are other apps out there, tried few myself but HTC TV app is the best in my opinion.

On my LG SmartTV there is a feature where I can push a button while watching a youtube video on my HTC One and it will show up on the TV...on my other older LG TV, which has a HTPC connected, I'd like to be able to do this as well...is there an app for windows that will work with that youtube button for push this to tv?
Or some standard app that everyone uses instead of youtube...kinda new to having such a feature filled device
Cheers

Hey guys,
So, I've bought a generic HDMI DLNA dongle which allows me to throw pictures, music and video to the TV with the use of 3rd party apps, but I was however expecting something different and more integrated into the phone's OS.
By using the three finger upward swipe gesture the phone will search for the HTC Media Link HD dongle which gives a far more complete screen mirroring experience, however as I've just discovered it will not work with generic DLNA dongles and fails to find any sign of my dongle.
I assumed that the HTC dongle was also just a generic DLNA adapter, much like generic wifi or bluetooth dongles, so either there are physical differences with the HTC dongle required and not present in other generic dongles, or there is a software lock which only allows the official HTC Media Link HD to be used to screen mirror with the upward swipe gesture.
Does anyone else have any info on this subject which might allow the phone to spoof a generic dongle as the HTC dongle and give the same functionality as the HTC Media Link HD?
I have searched the forum to the best of my ability but can't find much on the subject other than 3rd party dongles using 3rd party apps.
Many thanks indeed

Hello eveybody,
Sorry for my english I'm French.
I will try to be not complicate :
I've a HTC one mini.
To begin I would like to know if the rom and the tutorial for the HTC one are the same for the HTC One mini.
Can I install a rom of HTC one classic in the HTC one mini or It's not compatible ?
Next I want to transfer the image of my phone on my TV.
I know that we have several cables.
But I believe that some application are blocked for the tv, for example I've an application called "Orange Ligue 1", with this application I can watch soccer every week but my screen is too little and I would like to watch soccer on my TV.
I know that somes application blocked the diffusion on TV with a classic cable like "Orange Ligue 1"
When I had an iphone with the jailbreak there is an application to transfert image of the phone on tv for all application.
For android how can I do this ?
With a cable, an application ?
Thank you and sorry for my english.
The ROMs are not compatible, you have to take the ROMs for the HTC One mini found under
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-mini
You can use the HTC Media Link HD device to transfer the screen of your phone to the TV. I don't know if it is also possible to use a cable and an app.

Click to collapse
Thank you.
Sorry I had no see that you have a htc one mini section.
The HTC MEDIA LINK is not a good solution for me because some apps blocked the transfer to the TV.
Do you have an other solution ?
I would like a solution which can skirt the blocking.
It's the same thing with the HD cable.
Some apps are blocked and don't appear on TV.
With the root there is no apps for not have this problem ?
I think it's a problem of law, with the ligue 1 of soccer normally I can only watch the soccer on my phone and not on TV, that's why I think they block because they have the rights only for mobile and not for TV.
Nobody have a solution ?
On a iphone which is jailbreak we have some apps like displayout or TVOUT2 MIRROR TVOUT which can transfer all the apps on tv, there is no apps blocked.
Android is a big plateform I think a app should exist but I haven't find her
Sorry for my english

I think I found a workaround for this problem:
I connect my android to a computer and the computer gives me the image of my phone after I plug the computer into hdmi on pc and now
but is it an emulator on pc is to do that?
