Hey,
I used to have an Xperia Z and on that I had (stock) small app for screen capture. Upon capturing the screen I got an editing app starting (I think it was MobileSketch). I could use it to edit the picture (crop, draw upon etc.) and immediately share it via WhatsApp or Gmail or whatever.
Now I see that on my Xperia Z3 Compact whenever I capture the screen I get the Sketch app, which is far less intuitive for my needs.
Is there any chance to somehow define that a screen capture (by that small app) triggers MobileSketch?
Thanks,
R.

I know you can take panoramic photo's with the camera on the phone by taking multiple photos..
But is there an app like on the Taylor swift commercial that you just sweep the camera around the room?
Not that I have seen, but why? That feature works perfectly in the camera, you don't really need an app for this.
I'm pretty sure its basically the same thing. The Samsung camera software just gives you a green box to follow and makes a camera sound when you reach it... you're still sweeping from left to right in real time.
Any way to get higher res panorama with the stock camera? The panorama is 640x480 photos stitched together.

The phone does this with the built in app. You can move the phone in a sweeping motion and it will take 8 sequential shots. This can be done in either landscape or portrait mode.
When sweeping the camera a green outline will appear in the area of the next shot to help you properly align the photo. When the outlined area is centered on the screen then the phone automatically captures the next image...wash, rinse, repeat.
I have been using this feature a lot lately since the pictures are gorgeous and it is awesome for group photos. A fun thing I like to do is have someone move along to the next shot and pose so you get a strange clone effect of one person throughout the scene.

Have you tried the action shooting mode? Does a very similar thing.
I too would like to see an app that used higher res images (640x480 really does not cut it)
I would also like to see something that could take 360 degree photos, not just moving the camera left to right but also up and down.
Well that's just the sensor setting, the final resolution will be much greater than that in one direction. Holding the phone vertically will give a nice photo. But I would like a 1080 vertical mode for my dual monitor setup and no black lines.

Yeah, but a panorama that's about 550px tall and has fairly obvious seams makes it less of a big falk that the phone stitched out all by itself. Oh well, if you want it nice you really need a camera with a proper mount, anyway, and preferably raw output, and striving on a computer...

Hi All,
Firstly I'm running a stock out of the box Galaxy Note.
I have discovered an issue within S-Memo and wondering whether anyone knows a workaround. Here is a description of the issue:
1) Select a photo from my gallery and copy to clipboard
2) Open S-Memo, start a new memo and paste the photo
3) When you paste the photo you have the option to resize by dragging the outside of the image, and to get return to the sketching function you press the s-pen on part of the s-memo not taken up by the photo
4) At this point I like to start sketching over the photo however pen presses that last a second or more, or circular motions re-initialise the ability to re-size the photo and often the position of the image is dragged upwards or sideways.. hence ruining the sketch
I find this really frustrating as what i'm trying to do is sketch over the photo then delete the photo so it looks like a complete sketch. I can't do this if the photo keeps moving around !
Any thoughts/tips?
awesome forum btw!
Jeremy
I would also be interested in an answer to this. I was having similar issues with not being able to deselect the image.

same here
for Background Defocus, you need a bigger lens. That is why Sony had released this application for Xperia Z1 only. In order to defocus the background, you need to click picture much closer to the desired object.
It should work i guess. I have Xperia Z Ultra and it works for my crappy 8MP cam which shouldn't be much different with SP so it should be no problem. You just need to adjust your distance from object (preferably closer so the camera can take second shot with different focus) and have a steady hands to make it happen with Background Defocus.
i try shot 10 times
it failed 10 times
Hahaha
Work for me, but only for small objects near (about 30cm) lens and far background (about 2m).
Finally i got it to work! but is a really tricky feature. You have to put the lens reeeaaally close to the focused item, and the background should be far enough. I attached a pic 4 u to see that the mug was almost touching the phone for this feature to work.
Hi,
I recently started to take a lot of photospheres on a tripod. Sometimes the pictures turns out blurring because of turning, sometimes it's just random. To take a picture again, we have to press "back arrow" in top right corner (landscape). But when phone is attached on tripod, even a simple touch can easily blurry the pictures. Therefore here is my question. Is there a way to emulate a touch press? Maybe using tasker?
Example - when I press the script on Gear, I want my phone to touch the pixels coordinated for example at 1800x400 (from 1920x1080). Is that possible? I hope I made it clear enough
Hi there,
I'm trying to set th white balance on the video camera on my Sony Xperia z5, but the option to go into manual mode seems to have disspeared.
If I tap "M" for manual, it only allows me to take photos - the option t swap between the two seems to have gone,
I've checked some video online and the screen seems to give the option of swapping bewteen the two....
The user guide also says tap the iM* button, but again, that just gives me the photo option, not the video....
If anyone has any ideas on this it would be much appreciated!
Cheers
Adam
