Hey everyone. I just got my touchpad and went through with wiping and installing kit kat. I was wondering if there were any lollipop builds that are stable enough to be daily drivers. I know there's a lot of issues with cm lollipop, but other than that o don't really know of any roms for it.

I would also be interested to know.
I just tried one, Everlov, for the last two months, but I came back to Kit Kat yesterday because I had too much problems with touchscreen.

Yeah, im on pacman lollipop right now and its kind of stable, but the touch screen can get kind of wacky sometimes. Oh, and the camera doesn't work. But other than that it runs pretty smooth.

From what I understand Ubuntu Touch is still in the testing phase. Word is that Canonical will launch a stable build by the end of this month. So it mere days/weeks. The preview was beautiful. Personally excited to get my hands on it.
The only drawback I can anticipate will be the initial lack of apps. Which won't even take long to change I'm sure.
Currently on PA:3.15
Thank you to all the devs working on any ROM/app/mod/kernel grinding their finger tips to the bone.

I really don't see that happening at all (failing). Been following it up to this point of the preview being dropped. I realize its early to say but I feel that it was the first OS to do exactly as any company had advertised. Nothing more or less.
When I had my Evo LTE threads were full of support for it. Ubuntu alone has definitely taken off, have it as a dual boot and primary on another.. So personally I believe as long as it stays on the path and future they are creating we can expect something pretty awesome. There was some mention that people felt it was just a launcher in a sense. Idk I felt it was entirely new experience.
Had a chance to test the Infobar as well. Which the two operated very similar. So it gave a full preview.
Being in love with Paranoid and having a gesture based phone I'm still looking forward to it. Worse comes to worse I think it will bring alot to future android development. But all in all I would love to see it succeed and become a major player.
I tried it out today...because i just got my N4 and haven't activated it yet...and well...the keyboard wasn't working...it was pretty as all hell, but i can see how it's a beta...painfully so...

It's not even in beta. It's a developer preview right now. They don't even expect testers to use it just yet. The wider testing phase should be the end of May or early June. That's when 3g and auto bug reporting will be enabled.

It is in "dogfood" stage, meaning that their in-house developers use it on a daily basis. It runs fine, there's just not much in the way of apps (even built-in) for it yet. It can be laggy at times because it is not optimised, but a person could use it daily if you don't need a lot of apps on your phone.

You could also try it with MultiROM.
Btw, there's a mako thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2324683
Hey everybody I just need to hear your opinions on pacman ROM because i am thinking of getting it. So is it glitchy? is it heavy on the system since it has three roms in it? Are you happy with it? How is it with battery? Please post only if you are a previous user of Pacman or are using it now.

it doesn't have "three" roms in it. It's still one rom, they just take what they like from each and merge it with theirs. Same goes with AOKP, Carbon, Xylon, PA, CM and all of the other rom there is out there.
I like PA but have the last week been trying out PAC. And so far it's great. I'm on the may 16 nightly and yes, there are some glitches. But it's stable enough to be my daily driver so far

It's a rom, not a car..
Just flash it and see. If you don't like it revert to the backup of your current rom that you will have made prior to flashing the new one.
PAC is great. I only ever switched to a different ROM because long press home for recent doesn't work.
There are some glitches.. Long press home for recent doesn't work, Ribbons never used to work, it does now though so don't worry. Just little things like that.

Well I been using Pacman for a little over a month... Had been using CM for the past 2 years on any phone I had... And well... I have to admit, I like Pacman better because they have added all the extra features out there that individual roms have, and they managed to come together quite well...
Having said that, as far as stability is concerned... Since the night lies there are occasional reboots... But apart from that its pretty stable... If you stay on 22.1 then there was no reboot issue there...
I'm getting 5.5hours SOT with PAC and Franco M2...
Quite satisfied all around...

I am using PACman stable V22.0.0
I am using PACman rom now with a custome boot animation I downloaded with Rom Tool Box. I went to You Tube and saw a guy named Lee with Nexus4Root.com previewing PACman and some others that are all in one roms. One was JellyBAM which seems to be an anti-PACman rom. There is a notification sound default "Annoying" that is the Pacman theme music and then a gun shot and the Pacman dieing sound after. I thought that was funny. Then there was Toasted Marshmellow which seems to be nearly Identical to PACman rom. I settled on PACman because of it's customizations and mainly over the other roms because I like the Pacman theme. i have tried about half a dozen roms now mainly from Nexus4Root.coms list and then a page I found out about BAKED that one was pretty cool and you can get it from Goo Manager in the Play Store. In the end I wanted PACman because it is not all frilly and it still has the customizations of the three roms: Paranoid Android, AOKP, and CM.:highfive::cyclops:

This phone is past its life cycle. Even newer LG devices do not have android 4.2.2. Besides, there are not many features in 4.2.2 worth pursuing .
Nearly everybody else released smartphones with 4.1.2 and its only Samsung that released a device with 4.2.2.
Its understandable really. They want to spare some money for newer devices. As we all know, manufacturers pump out devices fast and its not in their interest to keep them updated. They cannot afford it anyway. Sammy devices are 95% of the android market right now. The others have to pump out devices to compete.
Of course, I could be wrong but this is as much as I can infer from what I have seen and heard.
I really hope I can see the day of an android 5.0 AOSP build for this phone. Popularity makes the rule. I really wish that the S3 would not have had as much coverage as it did because it was not that good. Same for the S4 but hey, devs also develop for devices that are going to make some noise. Thanks to Sammys ads, sammy devices do get alot of purchases and custom rom support.
Best 4.2.2 Custom rom ?
Which is the best 4.2.2 custom rom for 4x without any bugs ??
Then I hope so we will get some fixes for these things...

Official CM10.1 - RC versions, but kholk's CM will be bug-free very soon i think (and it's better than official)
LG L7 II will be coming with 4.3 out of the box apparently, if we get any updates, it's gonna be 4.3.

LG ****ed up. Like Microsoft with Xbox One. Now I will buy not new LG TV, but new Samsung TV and will wait for Samsung or HTC phone with Snapdragon 800, because Optimus 4X HD also showed me, that nVidia sucks in mobile market. If you not suck nVidia, please don't let use your chip in ****ty device. Period.
P.S - One thing with Optimus 4X HD is good. Headphones.
^ oh really, check LG G2 leaks (photos and specs) and come here again. Releasing a phone with 4.3 as fast as Google in Nexus would be a great thing from LG.
I just hope they'll make the next Nexus too, because Nexus4 is damn good

Still doesn't work on my Android 4.1.2 Samsung Galaxy S3.
But works fine on my wife's Android 4.1.1 Samsung Galaxy S3.
Same carrier, same network, different color - mine is pebble blue, wife's is white, but I refuse to believe the white model is better than pebble blue.
So at least in my case it seems to Android 4.1.2 specifically. :\
