The ota fails because:
"/system/build.prop has unexpected contents"
Either because you made some modification to build.prop or your rom isn't 100% stock. All /system files must be 100% stock to install ota update. Revert the changes you have made to build.prop or since you are s-off simply flash a RUU to reset your phone back to stock.
If you need a RUU 3.24.707.102 can be downloaded from here

You might want to ask in the One Max forum or directly ask HTC, don't understand why your phone would have LTE before the update and not anymore. HTC names their phone using a code for the model + a code for the variant. for example the One MAX is T6, the HTC One 2013 is M7, the desire 601 is ZARA.
So a M7_UL is an HTC ONE 2013 GSM / WCDMA / LTE
a M7_U is an HTC ONE 2013 GSM / WCDMA
ZARA_UL is a Desire 601 GSM / WCDMA / LTE
ZARA_U is a Desire 601 GSM / WCDMA
I guess its the same thing for the One MAX:
T6UL is a One max GSM / WCDMA / LTE
T6U is a One max GSM / WCDMA
Here is the variant code list for HTC phones:
DTU = TD-SCDMA + WCDMA / GSM dual standby 2SIM slot
DUG = WCDMA / GSM + GSM dual standby 2SIM slot
DWG = CDMA2000/WCDMA/GSM + GSM dual standby 2SIM slot
TL = TD-SCDMA/TD-LTE/FDD-LTE
UL = WCDMA / GSM / FDD-LTE
U = WCDMA / GSM
ULA = WCDMA / GSM / LTE-Advanced FDD
WL = CDMA2000/WCDMA/GSM/FDD-LTE
WHL = CDMA2000/WCDMA/GSM/FDD-LTE/TDD-LTE
UHL = GSM / WCDMA / FDD-LTE / TDD-LTE

[Q] Can I convert HTC One GSM to LTE?

Hey there everyone!
As the title says, I own a HTC One, S-Off, running 4.4.2 (Stock) it is MID0712000 (before it was MID0711000, I changed it) and CID is BS_US001 I want to know if I can flash a radio that supports LTE, has anyone tried this? or maybe I'm wanting so much for my phone? ant answer is thanked.
Regards!

Nope, you can't get LTE on your 801e, we've got a different radio (MDM8215) vs MDM9215 on the LTE variant..

Thank you for the explanation,
I do have the 801n model (PN07100) but 3g band (850) is not working.
I think there is also some kind of software limit.
Any idea?

We were discussing about the hardware limitation of the 801e equipped with a qualcomm MDM8215 non-lte modem vs the 801n qualcomm MDM9215 lte modem. Your issue is probably caused because of a bad configuration not a ''software limitation''.

also make sure your apn settings are correctly set for your carrier
Thanks for your answers.
I checked every configuration twice. It's ok.
I used a PN07120 to compare. Both models have the qualcomm MDM9215 chip.
Both with same configuration. The 07120 does get 3G, the 07100 doesn't.

You can check the bands and frequencies for SPRINT here:
http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_(m8)_cdma-6233.php
For the sim unlock it is up to "firewater" compatibility, since you need to S-OFF your device first.
Regarding compatibility with firewater, your question should be: How can I make sure that my device will be supported by firewater?
The answer: You cant! Its just a matter of luck for the moment.
There are alot of people who successfully S-OFF their devices with firewater, and there are also unlucky persons like me, who cant (i got 2 devices that i cannot S-OFF).
There is also a bounty thread for people which cannot S-OFF:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733870
If SIM unlocking is your concern, I suggest you to buy it unlocked (yeah i know the price is higher).
For the time being there is no provider offering SIM Unlock for Sprint. Believe me, since I have a SPRINT standard M8 device which i cant SIM unlock for the moment.

Thank you for the information..I'm an htc lover...i can buy it factory unlocked in about the same price...but i want that version...i really liked the color combination and what h/k addition offers...i know that i can port the h/k software to another m8 but i like the whole package...it's unique....i live in Greece....bought my friend some months ago an already sim unlocked sprint htc one m7 and it's working fine..So to sum up..if i got it...it's not 100% that i would be able to sim unlock it..... Also i saw on the gsmarena on the lte frequencies sprint version support LTE 800 / 1900 / 2600 my carrier lte frequencies are 1800 MHz, 2600 MHz...... so i should be able to have lte at 2600MHz?

If that dont work:
as member maethem wrote on page 4 in the above thread (he deserves a thank you), this is what worked for me:
Try the following on you responsibility
- You should know your SPC, you can read it with CDMA Workshop or CDMA DFS Tool.
- Install QSPT (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2263391)
- enable diag mode ##3424#
- open QPST configuration, from port tab add your device diagnostics port.
- from start clients tab choose service programming then ok & click on read from phone.
- on system tab choose automatic for roam preferences.
- on UMTS System tab choose any for pref service domain & any band (last bottom right) for proffered band.
- click write to phone, then your device should work on GSM mode with modified HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk.

How about reboot phone don't touch anything in mobile network options and go directly to phone info with the 4 digit code *#*#4636#*#* go phone information and change the preferred network type just don't touch anything in the mobile network settings and see if that works.
I had done this on Verizon GPE ROM and got data working by only switching in phone information once I toggled in actual mobile settings I was screwed maybe that will work for you

You should select what ever network type you need in order for your data to work. But if you touch any of the settings in mobile network it just stops working completely. Well at least that's what happened to me but you could also try manipulating the band's that are supported in your location
please help me.

[Q] Need help, lost my signal by choosing USA band through *#*#4636#*#*

Hey guys, I have a sim unlocked s-off Sprint M8.
Yesterday I chose USA band accidentally through *#*#4636#*#*. I live in China, now I cannot find any signal with my WCDMA network.
I tried everything during the last 16 hours including flashing the Harman RUU, but it did not work.
Will a stock sprint radio flash solve my problem? I looked everywhere but could not find a stock radio for sprint M8:crying::crying::crying:

HTC M8 Sprint HK INDIA LTE fix

Can any body help with M8 Sprint HK (S-ON) bootloader unlocked, gsm unlocked to use LTE/3G in INDIA?
Learned from forum that i have to add additional LTE Band 2300 with DFS tool or QPST, but it shows write NV data skipped.
Also disable write protection with wp_mod.ko not works, it shows exec format error in insmod command in adb.
Please help expert.

Hi... I have done everything.... the band 2300 is not there in that (HK version) its a hardware limitation. So 4g wont work here in India on HK version of M8.
