Hey guys,
First off, I am a complete noob with all this tech stuff. But I felt a little adventurous and wanted to root my One V.
I managed to unlock the bootloader and also root my phone. Phone was working perfectly fine after this. So next I tried installing some custom ROM to change the GUI. I clearly must have done something wrong because my phone is now stuck at the boot screen. I did a google search and stumbled across a page which said I have to go into Recovery mode and Back up or something. I followed the instructions and I'm still facing the same problem. It just won't go past the boot screen. I have no clue what to do next. Now I'm wondering why I even tried to do all this.
What do I do next? Please keep in mind that I'm an utter noob.
Yesterday I went to a party, nothing wrong with the xperia t. When I got home I let it recharge. I think it still worked at that moment. Pretty sure it did. Went to sleep. Woke up. My phone battery was empty lol. Still in the recharger. Did some stuff, let it recharge some more. Got it to boot up again. Now touch screen doesn't work anymore . Tried wiping cache, factory reset. Still not working.
I have cm-10.1.3-RC2-mint installed. I think I might have to update it. This could be the problem.
Any more tips for if it doesn't work? never had this problem before. I hope it is a software thingy.
I updated the firmware but still doesn't work. I think im gonna re-install the stock firmware, and flash a stock kernel which will unroot my mobile. Any tips? please? I can't use my phone at all atm. It just stays at the cyanogenmod install screen..

I would like to try that thing with adb, but as I have already reinstalled cyanogenmod, developer options/debugging is turned off. I can't use ADB. Unless you know another way.
So this is totally getting out of hand.. (and I don't know if that is also a english expression lol).
I tried reflashing a stock firmware. Worked, but touchscreen still doesn't work. Then I noticed, that I now don't have cwm anymore... how the f?
SO I probably forgot to exclude the kernel. So now I tried reflashing a kernel with cwm, but flashtool doesn't recognize the kernel files... I don't know what is going on..
Ah already found the problem. Got cwm back phewww..
So here is what needs to be done. I want to try gregbradleys adb shell fix but my usb debugging is off and this means that I can't use adb, as I don't have touchscreen.
So, is there any way, any way at all, to enable usb debugging without touching the screen? Maybe a kernel with that settings automaticly set?
Im getting a bit angry at my phone now.. I didn't even do anything to break it in the first place. Just tried recharging it, and that killed the touchscreen? lol. Help will be appreciated. Im out of ideas.
Get a usbotg cable and attach a usb mouse
Then use that to turn debugging on
When you flash a stock firmware you lose recovery.

thanks, I'll get one tomorrow. I hope it will help. You've helped me before so im pretty confident that you fix my problem again haha. You are a boss.
A non responsive touch screen happened to me too after I flashed a wrong firmware. I flashed back the version that was on before, but it didn't help. Only after I flashed this (pretty old) version Xperia T - 7.0.A.1.303 Generic DE with Flashtool, the touch screen started to working again. I am not sure, maybe any ftf would work. But I know that I had success with this one.
You should try gregbradleys method first though. Funny, that your touch screen stopped working, without you modifying anything. Hopefully it's not a hardware problem.

hmmm, I tried this and it worked. problem solved. I did however not have wrong firmware installed, but it was an rc2 version of cm. So it can be unstable and stuff, but this was kind of a big problem.

Hey, glad your phone is ok again. I remember when that happened to me. I just had the phone for a couple weeks. Shat my pants, thinking I wrecked it. It worked out at the end, though. Feels good to recover a bricked phone, doesn't it.
Sorry to bump

I am having this exact problem! I'm sorry to awake this sleeping thread, but I have a locked bootloader and I tried a Sony PC Companion reset and it still has the problem. Is there anything else I can do?

I have the same problem... I changed touch panel, flex cable and update with pc-companion but it doesn't work
Hey guys,
as I did not find any matching solutions to my problem (and due to the fact that I can't post within developer forums yet), I opened a new thread. If there has been similar questions like mine with working solutions, then I am sorry to doublepost the problem.
I have a Sony Xperia Z1, model number C6903. I rooted it today, following this method
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aq9YTlfCgc
taken from this original post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2572988
I followed the tutorial step by step, rooted the device properly (worked fine, checked with the root basic app checker or whatever its called), and then wiped all data from it using dualrecovery. After that, i put the .290 software onto my sd card and flashed my phone using dualrecovery - as the tutorial said. Finally, I used Flashtool to flash the C6903_14.2.A.0.290_Stripped.ftf onto my phone.
After this process finished, I wanted to boot my phone.
That was when things got weird: The sony logo appeared for a short time, and then it powered off / rebooted itself. Sony logo appeared again, switched off again and rebooted for another time. But it would not do any more than that... seems like its catched within an endless loop or something.
What I tried to solve this problem:
- enter dual recovery: this worked at the beginning, I could switch my phone off and get it out of the loop
- flashed it again (first with dualrecovery, then with flashtool)
- after that I could not even get into dual recovery mode
- then I tried to flash the .534 ftf firmware onto my device, because with that it worked properly after root. But every time I connected my phone within flashmode to my pc and started the flashprocess, my phone disconnected after a short time and booted into the endless loop again
I don't know what else to try, so I ask you guys for help. Should I leave the phone within the loop for a couple of hours hoping that it starts eventually? Should I try to flash again? Is there any other possibility to enter dual recovery? Should I maybe flash an original sony firmware on it?
Thanks in advantage for your help and time,
flamingo
It sound slike you did everything right, I would repair using pccompanion and start again. Make sure you do every step correctly and in order and don't miss anything
Let us know how you get on

Thanks for the very quick reply. I've just done that, and all went properly! I am now back on .136, and the device works perfect. Think I'll continue with the 4.4 Kitkat instead of the .290, as this did not work out all to well...
Thanks again for your quick and very good advice!

Hi guys. First of all, I english isn't my first language so, be patient with me. Okay so, my device was running a CM-12.1 ROM and I decided to change it to the ROM that we can find in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/development/stock-firwware-14-6-0-368-xperia-z1-t3201108, so, I flash it with TWRP Recovery and it got stuck in a endless bootloop (sony logo, boot animation, "NFC firmware act", reboot). I tried repairing it with Sony Bridge for Mac and it says that I have a custom ROM and it can't be repaired. Please, help me, I'm desperate.
You can use flashtool to repair it.
After downloading it, download the ftf from here and then flash it.
I'm not sure about the exact steps on Mac because I don't use it, but should be the same.

Hey! Thank you for answering so fast, I solved it by doing something like your solution, I downloaded the 4.4.4 firmware from XperiFirm and then flashed it, it worked hahaha then I just downloaded the most recent frimware (14.6.A.0.368) and flashed it again.
right now im in the same place, i will try this solution
edit: its working, but i lost NFC. searching the solution.
Hi, so let me get to the point.
I attempted to root my phone with towelroot, and had no success. I did some googling and found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55133105&postcount=1
I flashed the kernel following the instructions and my phone gets stuck on boot now. I was naive to think it would work... someone please help! This phone is my only phone and it's literally my job to have this phone. I don't know a lot about this stuff but here is my model version : SM-G900A
Also, in hopes of trying to fix my phone, i tried finding an original kernel file which im currently downloading this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785185
Although i would REALLY appreciate it if I could keep all my files and such. I dont want my phone resetting completely.
Also when i booted into recovery mode, this was at the top: G900AUCS4CPA3
I don't care about rooting anymore, I just need my phone to be back to normal!! Please and thank you! It's 3:38 AM and i've been in a HUGE panic for the past 3 hours...
