[Q] S6 Port? - Galaxy S 4 Active Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any S6 ROM port for the S4 Active? Is anyone currently doing it? I've seen a few ports for i9505 and I was wondering if someone can modify it to make it work with i9295. I am willing to do it but I honestly don't know where to start. Any help?

with some modification i was able to get albees s6 rom for i9505 running on i537 pretty much perfectly just i cant figure out the darn camera. ii have no experiance with the i9295 but if the previous master patch has worked then the one i made and posted in the goldeneye wip thread should work for everything but the camera. you will have to edit the updater script from albees rom to remove the kernel instalation. and flash both the rom then the masterpatch. hopefully this info will help you

the rom has been available for a while but i dont know if anyone has been able to extract it. it was some weird file system or someting.
If anyone picks it up, itll probably be for the i9000 at first, so here's to hopes of a reoriented rom
One can dream.......would be sweet!
i dont think we'll see a ported rom but maybe some ported apk's and it should be gingerbread so maybe ported on the galaxy s 2.3.2 leak if any of the devs over in that forum get around to it.
though a port to cm7 for a weird hybrid would be cool also.

[Request] Rom for Mini GT-8190T (LTE)

Hey, I have been looking for a stock rom for my phone for a while now with no luck. Will the roms for the other models work on the LTE model?
Anyone else have any luck with the same phone?
I look at all the cool **** people are doing on their CM samsung minis and I cry a little inside.

That's lika a i8190N with LTE, right?
Don't know if other rom's work for it. You'll have to try
I'm pretty sure you can root it same way as the other models, make a nandroid backup in recovery, try another rom and see if it works.
If it doesn't, then just restore your backup
I can make a deodexed stock rom for it if wanted, and you can debloat and add mods as you wish.

is it not this one?
Yeah, that is the phone.
I'll try mess with some of the roms available and get back to you - any stock rom would be a godsend. Planet touchwiz is not a pretty place haha.
lots of ROM's to pick from some have similar features some work better for different regions

Help to put custom Kernel on my phone

Hello comunity,
I want to put a custom Kernel on my Galaxy S4 Active to overclock the phone.
The problem is, that doesn't exist any tutorial or something that explains how to do on the S4 Active!
I have found a awesome Kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294083) around here, but is only for the normal S4...
My Phone is on Android 4.2.2 (I think Touchwiz)
It should be compatible with the Kernel...
Can I try to flash the Kernel on my Phone (S4 Active) or it will cause a fullbrick?
Thanks in advance
It doesn't exist because there is no way to flash anything on this phone. Until someone figures out how to unlock the bootloader there won't be, either. A little time reading and/or searching would have gotten you that answer.

Tester Wanted!

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to ask for a little assistance from anybody with some experience. I am the dev of the Project Infinity ROM. Currently it is on the Tmobile S5 dev forum.
As most people know however that the tmobile device is extremely similar to the international device and is able to run any of the international roms. Therefor, shouldnt it be the other way around as well? I am looking at "porting" this extremely feature rich and powerful rom to all the other S5 variations. By that I mean just changing some features to enhance compatibility between the specific device.
I was just wondering if someone with any other variation phone can do me a favor and test the Project Infinity rom and ensures it boots or provide me with any issues or problems that comes up.(please have a strong backup first!)
If it does work then this might mean that a few Tmobile propriatary features might be able to be ported along with it. (No, WIFI calling will still not work unless your on a tmobile network).
Here is my rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=54727694
Also, if any extremely experienced user on an ATT device happens to see this, please pm me. I have questions as to the current root methods that is now used and what is functioning so far.
Thanks in advance!

Running G900T Rom's on the G900F soft-bricks your GPS.
Not on the G900T ROM that you're running, but when you flash back an G900F ROM after that (with data/factory reset!) your GPS won't work anymore...
Even restoring back the G900F Odin firmware didn't fix it for me!
After 2 weeks (with bricked GPS) I did found an solution, and that was flashing an old NE5 G900T ROM, after that my GPS started working again, also on the G900F ROM's.
I know it sounds strange... but I've experienced this multiple times, with different G900T ROM's.

Thanks for the info, where there any things disabled while running a g900t rom? Was everything working?
Thanks, just curious cause i can add that fix to the op if people only want to switch back to a g900f rom after.

No, everything works when you run an G900T ROM on an G900F device.
Only when you flash back an G900F ROM then GPS won't work.

Any Samsung custom phone roms that work with the Galaxy Gear?

I posted this in the Note 2 forum, but it is very quiet over there, so has any one found a custom Samsung rom that does not cripple the watches features?
I will be using this on a Note 2.
I am looking for a rom that would not throw up a flag with Samsung Galaxy Gear software.

So any roms that are compatible with proprietary Samsung apps?
Thank you, and Happy New Year.
I'm on cm12.1 having same issue. I was wondering if it was a root issue or ROM issue. What ROM are you on
you must make sure that you are running a touchwiz rom for easiest support... it can be done on others but this is where i would start. hope this helps!
no roms yet?
i need any rom suggestion
