Since updating my Samsung S6 Edge to Android 5.1.1, I can no longer double tap a word I have typed (in a text message box or any such chat box) to select/highlight it. Has anyone else noticed this, too?

It never did until yesterday. Unless i clicked the "show keypad" button. Now on entering any message program and Internet explorer etc it pops up !
thanks
I always thought the default settings for the keypad was that when you opened a page, if the 'default' place for the cursor was in any sort of 'text input' box (web browser URL bar, messaging login or text box etc...) then the keyboard would pop-up automatically, as soon as you clicked outside of the text box the keyboard disappeared?.
Hi all,
I have the Topaz(Diamond 2) and is the first phone with the TouchFlo 3D interface (my last phone was an XDA Orbit 2)
One of the things that infuriates me, is when using the swipe gesture to scroll through SMS/email messages.
On the SMS screen, to read the second most recent message, swiping your finger up the screen selects the next oldest message. However, on the email page, to read the second most recent email you have to swipe your finger DOWN the screen. On top of that, if you are reading the most recent email message (on the 'preview/envelope screen) and accidentally swipe up, it opens the email.
This is bugging the hell out of me. I want consistency dammit!!!!
Is there a reg hack or some other way of making them both up/down?!??!?!
Hello,
I've got an annoying problem with my Diamond. Every time I type who I want to send SMS to, I get double recipient suggestion. One suggestion is where always suggestions are (bar above the keyboard), but there is also another one as a pop-up near the text box. The attachment shows what I am talking about. The problem is, now I have to tap the desired recipient within the pop-up, cause simply tapping "Enter" when I have my recipient highlighted on the bar causes crash of the whole SMS-creating thing. What I want to do is remove the pop-up which is pointed by the red arrow on my attachment. Please, help me to do so Thanks in advance.
Don't you have any idea on what to do with this thing, guys?
When I dial via the Phone app, or via Contacts , the dialing prompt appears instantaneously.
However, if I add a "Direct dial" shortcut (widget) to my home screen, tap it, the same prompt takes over 3 seconds to pop up.
Is this just my phone or it is general problem or RAZR i / JB 4.1.2?

Click to collapse
My Razr takes at least 3 seconds too if I'm using "Direct dial" so I think it's a general problem.
Hello everyone, Im coming from a note 2 and having the "popup browser" was really convenient. I'm not sure if the Note 4 has one or not. Or if i'm jus not looking hard enough.
Does anyone have any input on or if the note 4 comes with a popup browser?
Thanks in advance

You can also long press on certain apps from the recent apps menu.
You can just long press the back button from any screen to bring up the multi window tray and tap (not long press) any app to launch in a floating window. This include the stock browser and chrome.
