[Q] No logcat output - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am running TEKXodus v3.6R3 and cannot get any output from logcat. I was on 3.5 as of yesterday having the same issue, clean flashed to 3.6, and the issue persisted. I will note that this is the first time I have noticed the logcat flat out not working at all, but adb has been unreliable for me with every TW based LP ROM I have used thus far.
As a quick test, I popped CM12.1 on there this morning, and the logcat output worked fine again, but I really need the stability of a TW based ROM on here, and I need a working logcat for the dev stuff that I do. After that, I even tried ODIN'ing back to stock, then flashing TEKXodus again, but it was no help.
Has anyone else seen anything similar, or do you have any ideas of where I could poke around to continue troubleshooting this?

ro.debuggable=0

Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
First time installing a ROM on this phone. I installed and rebooted only to be met with a screen that says "To Start Android, enter your password". Keyboard is present as well. Am I missing something? After that is says something about data being corrupt and needing to do a factory reset.
Wonderful Rom
This is a really smooth and exceptionally fast rom, thanks.
Hey guys sorry if this is a stupid question but is there a way to make sure my apps are backed up with TB before I wipe and flash?
I am using this ROM with faux kernel, which has forced encryption. Does that mean the data will be lost when I flash a newer version of this ROM? Thanks in advance ?
No data
Am i doing something wrong here? Im on 2.3..1 and I have no data. clean install. On Tmobile.
I'm pretty sure no one ever checks these threads. I guess it depends on the OP.
install.
I have an old version of this ROM is there a way I can install the new without wiping and losing all my music and video's I've downloaded.

I can't get my Mac to connect to my phone with fastboot so I can't get unencrypted. If I just flash this rom will it unencrypt it for me?
Bluetooth Media Sharing Problem ?
It might be me and i am looking for options but i cant seam to get Bluetooth to share my media, i can connect to the car and even though the media sharing is ticked in the box it doesnt share it with the car. I will try other bluetooth devices to see if its just in the car i cant share. Just wondered if anyone else had the same problem ?
Excellent Rom by the way. Keep up the good work.
Edit: I have sorted it now, Unpaired device, Turned Bluetooth off and cleared the Cache in Bluetooth Sharing. Rebooted the phone, re paired and now media sharing is working.
Any plans to add an OTA update feature? That's all I'm waiting for to flash this ROM.
tethering
Is native tether working on this ROM just curious
restart
This ROM randomly restarts when I'm using the phone and each time it does it says android apps are optimizing like if a new ROM or update is happening. Is this a problem?
Phone randomly turning off or unresponsive?
Has anyone else had their phone become unresponsive or just turn off? I'm not sure if it's off or just wont wake wake up, so I have to hold the power button and reboot. I've been using the ROM for almost a week and it's happened 3 or 4 times now. I'm also using the "Nexus 6 Double Tap To Wake" app from the play store. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. I might try disabling that and see what happens.
T-Mobile date
First off love this rom better battery life by far.
The only thing is I can't get T-Mobile date to work. An I only one ? What can I do?
Simultaneous Voice and Data Now Works on Nexus 6 With Verizon
Is Simultaneous Voice and Data Now Works on Nexus 6 With Verizon enabled in this rom. I cannot get it to work.

Im coming over from euphoria 5.02
I flashed the 5.1 rom . Did a full wipe.
But I keep getting no sim deteted.
tried redoing several times and its a no go.
If i reinstall euphoria the sim works again.
I have the USA nexus 6
TIA
Installed the new 3.0 5.1 SinLess from a fresh format using OTG and USB stick and can't seem to see any of the SinLess tweaks. Anyone know of a fix or encounter this problem?
Wierd notifications
I updated to the new 5.1 build and im having wierd notifications. The lock screen wont show up unless you have a pin or pattern. If you set it to swipe, it unlocks automatically. And when you pull down for the notif shade, no notifications show up and neither do the quick settings. Is this a settings issue or a bug? Do you guys recommend a new flash to see if it works? Thanks

[Q] GPS issues

Alright this has happened to me once before. GPS just doesn't work. I use GPS Status and Toolbox and it doesn't pick anything up. GPS icon with an X on it in the notification bar.
Last time this happened I was running a rom with a custom kernel. The ROM was Xtrestolite 1.0c with one of Ktoonzes kernels. GPS didn't work at all no matter what I did. After a bout of frustration I decided to reflash the ROM this time with no custom kernel. GPS fired right back up. Cool.
So last night I flashed Xtrestolite deodexed edition from the general S6 forums. After finding out that the wallpaper picker didn't work and wasn't an option to install with the Aroma add-on package I decided to just go back to Xtrestolite 1.0c. BOOM. No GPS. I've reflashed the ROM now twice and still no GPS.
Anyone got any ideas or a fix I might not know of? Very frustrating experience.
Little update. I decided to upgrade the bootloader and modem to the latest and reflash 5.1.1. Good news and bad news. Good news is the GPS seems to be working now. As in there's no X through the icon. Bad news is it still can't get a lock on any satellites.
I'll keep updating this with steps I've taken as I go along for others that may have the same issue.

SMS/Voice Non-Functional on non-stock ROM.

Sorry if this thread is a duplicate, but on my XT1056, I'm completely unable to get SMS or Voice working on anything besides 4.4.4 Stock.
I've tried the stock 5.1 update, I've tried AOSP, and I've tried CyanogenMod
I'm not honestly completely sure what I'm doing wrong.
Data starts working after manually setting the APN's, in the case of 5.1 Stock, or fixing the APN's (Ting wasn't set properly on the CyanogenMod nightly I downloaded, may be fixed now.) AOSP just didn't let me set them in the first place. Oddly enough, it doesn't seem to work on 4.4.4 ROM's, as I tried CM11 and it had the same issue, so this doesn't seem to be Lollipop exclusive. I'm currently running 5.1 Stock, with latest TWRP. Unrooted, though I can fix that in a minute or two.
I can provide as much data as you want if there's any way to fix this. Don't really want to be stuck on 4.4.4 for much longer.

[Q] Android Process FCs and General Device Instability After Flashing MMB29V

Hello all. Generally I've been able to troubleshoot all my Android issues on my own. Most of the time someone has had the same problem (amirite?!). However, I'm stumped and could use a little help from the community.
I've been going along on Marshmallow with FK as my kernel. Generally, waiting a bit to take an update til SuperSU was confirmed all working correctly and that there wasn't any surprises. I had been putting off the MMB29V update for a bit just because everything was running fine and I had no real reason to upgrade. Well, one day I started getting a few FCs and things seemed a bit off performance wise so I decided that I'd go and move on to the next release.
Now, since I've had my N6 I really haven't had the need to run a custom ROM which is completely unlike my old habits on the S3. I decided that it's been a while since I've checked out AOSP so I flashed MMB29V using the batch file with no issues and then DU and their recommended GApps. Here's the first hint of an issue. When I loaded up the OS for the first time I got acore and phone FC's constantly. I instantly thought that I didn't wipe something or that I had a bad zip. I re-downloaded everything and checked MD5s. Everything looked good and after the flash I was able to get through the setup wizard without any issues. As I was sitting there checking out the tweaks and options available I started getting FCs again. It seemed related to Google apps. I did the whole process a second time and still had the same issues. Basically it seemed like at some random point in time the FCs would come and then shortly after the device would be highly unstable. I'd get random reboots, etc. Looking at the stack traces the errors seemed like odd NPEs and native errors.
I decided that AOSP wasn't going to cut it right now if I was going to have a relatively unstable phone and went to flash completely back to stock. Much to my surprise I still got the same errors! Apps like Feedly would never even be able to open. They would just FC on launch. The device hot reboots. The phone process seems to crash during most calls. I triple checked my MD5 on the download from Google. Made sure I wasn't doing something super stupid. I even tried doing the factory flash, booting to the welcome screen, then powering down, going to stock recovery, and factory resetting before continuing. All the same errors.
I've flashed back to complete stock a few times before without any issues. I've been able to flash system.img without any issues. Now it seems like the phone is completely unstable no matter what I do. I get the "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly." (red) message when doing a cold boot.
So... What gives? Am I completely blanking on a step here? Is it possible that I have a hardware issue that is corrupting stuff (I've suffered a bad DIMM before in a desktop and it was mind numbingly frustrating)?
I've burned through two backup cards of Google 2-Step backup codes! I'd really like to figure this one out!

You could read the OP of the following thread and flash a debloated and prerooted ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3059493
I guess I'll try that. I'm still scratching my head why a flash from the factory image is still suffering from FC's and general instability. It also concerns me that I get the corrupted message at boot. It would be one thing if I flashed factory, then put a recovery, kernel, and rooted, but I haven't done that.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to try that this evening. Thanks for the link to that image. It's pretty much what I run when I take an update.
N, n, ne, necromancy!
I brought this thread back to life because I've never been able to solve the instability issues since my last post back in March.
Having some free time lately I decided to nuke my device and start again. I first grabbed the latest stock image and flashed stock. Then I downloaded the latest TWRP and Dirty Unicorns and decided that I'd give it a whirl again. I had FC issues right after the first go at it. I decided to try another GAPPs and do it again. I was able to get through setup. It took a few hours but the FCs started again.
I decided that I would try factory resetting the device and then starting a setup. I remembered that on my previous devices that I sometimes would have to do an immediate factory reset after flashing.
Well that did crap. FCs are random. The device is stuck booting now after a hot reboot.
How can I debug this? What do I need to grab from a logcat? Is there a way to run something like memtest to see if there is a bad section of RAM and something against storage to see if there is a bad sector?
This is frustrating as hell!

G920T help (need 7.0 ROM)

When i got the phone the other day, it was running Tmo official 7.0. But the bloatware drove me to mod within minutes. I rooted it in short order successfully but since rooting, ive been having issues getting most ROMS to run, except for a few Adzcache had up on Androidfilehost. Those roms seem to be for the g920w8. but at least they boot and run, though only up to 6.0.1. My question is, whether i have an option to get a 7.0 ROM running on this. Any help or input is appreciated. Ive tried many roms, both odin loaded and flashed with twrp. so far only Adzcaches seem to stick. Ideally, I'm looking for a LOS15 ROM if at all possible or this bad boy. Again, thanks for any input in advance.
