Folks can you help
have tried all methods I know to fix this annoying problem of the clock in win 8 being two hours slow always.
alat 97
You have to modify the registry. Take a look into General forum in one of the first posts. Works with Win 10 too.
5)*Q: The time in Android and Windows is not synchronised!*
A: Go to "Run", type in "regedit", then navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\TimeZoneInformation
Add in a new REG_DWORD, "RealTimeIsUniversal" and set its value to 1

Talk about Pocket PC becoming more powerful
This was made possible by a Pocket PC port of Bochs, by Mamaich, who has also ported DosBox, a "program similar to Bochs but it's a lot faster and only emulates DOS". Sadly, the author tried and failed to get WarLords II working on both these versions, but I'm sure time will tell!
If you're keen to try this on your own Pocket PC, you'll need a minimum of a 256MB memory card (or stream the image over a wireless network) and you'll need a program like Nyditot Virtual Display to increase your screen resolution. Oh, yes, and you'll also need the emulator.
According to Miracle, what we really need now is for another developer to "pick this up and optimize it to get more speed, since Mamaich stated that he will not continue to work on this, but instead focus more on DosBox."
Given that this shows that a Pocket PC is easily powerful enough to run Windows 95 and 98 in an emulator, do you think that attention might shift from developing new Pocket PC games to trying to get the original PC games to work in emulators? While I played a few games in Pocket DOS, the lack of decent controls made enjoying them nearly impossible. On the other hand, a predominantly mouse based game might run quite happily, and allow everyone to enjoy it on the move.

Another Informative Article about PPC/BOCHS and Emulation
Please note: I have not tried this myself. However i believe this to be true and working, since ppc are powerful these days. In saying so, i do not believe this emulator will run on my h6365...you probably need a descent processor speed, probably a minimum of something around 400mhz (i'm guessing)
This opens up a big portal to the ppc world, if win95 can be stable on ppc, all win95 programs can run within ppc...
I do not take any responsibility for damage to your ppc resulting from this post!
Procedure is complicated, you will need to have some knowledge of PPC to do it.
Please if anyone has manage to get it working tell us here! Any problems please post
Bochs for ppc emulator is attached at the bottom!

Dosbox...
Don't work under Windows Mobile 2005 version.
And may you install windows 98 or ( Someone had that tried )
But you will got:
Slow performance.
Hardware errors
No sound ( With some devices )
Video problem

This is an emulated and remaked Windows version, ( and only a rumour )
Becareful.

That's Right
I have done this a long while ago back when I had an Asus A620. I got Win95 to boot in 4-5 minutes. No keyboard, no mouse, but it was interesting.
Really interesting, but only for Win98 retrĂ² experience on my pda, not for other, this os (win98 or 95) is really unstable compared to today microsoft products...it is possible to run win nt or 2000 with same system or ntfs make trouble? just a little workstation, on the xda XD
Dos emulations doesn't support nt platforms.
DosBox a simple Msdos emulation system, like Virtual PC,
the emulation projects maded for simple operations with some hardware restrictions.
such as soundless or low graphics.
The FreeSCI project is one of them. That's amiga emulation platform, now it has been resembled for Windows Mobile based Pocket PC's,
but some games are running slow, someones don't work, soms goes error.
There is no stabilitation.
I suggest, don't try hardluck...
You may lose ur pda,
windows98 maybe run, but WindowsNT never can be.
PDA's are not as notebook and not much flexible.
If you have 800 mhz or higher mobile processor and 128 or 256 mb ddr ram. May you can try to (The pda's will use ddr technology nearly) play some basic windows games.
May be solitaire...
A good dream...
But we don't use miracle devices,
They're only PDA's...
And they have already OS's and games....
Am I wrong?
"DosBox will emulate Windows Vista in future..."
I wish that,
But that will never happen, like windows98 or NT.. (in short times, before 2080 )
THX.

Anyone know of any countdown timer software that will allow me to set 2 countdowns to do Tabata intervals?
A tabata interval is 20 seconds of exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest.
So you set 1 timer for 20 seconds, another for 10 seconds, and they countdown consecutively. You do this 8 times and you have a grueling 4 minute workout.
Anyone know of any Windows mobile/Raphael software that will allow me to do this?
Thanks.
I don't know of a software already set up for that, but you could write a simple mortscript that would count and then play a tone at the end of each interval, set it all in a loop to run the number of times you want(8).
Here is a java tabata timer.

An option
Hello!
A couple of months ago I created the attached application. It is as simple as ugly, if I would have more time I would create a better GUI, but it is doing what I wanted and it was created for me
It requires .NET framework 3.5
Delayed start: 1..10 seconds to put down the phone and prepare for the first round
Reps: number of cycles
Beep/Vibro: It plays \windows\default.wav file and/or vibrates when the ongoing interval is elapsed
Time1..Time4 four timer each can be set from 1 to 100 seconds, and cycle is 1-2-3-4
So for a tabata set reps to 8, time1 to 20 and time2 to 10, delayed start is optional
Hope you will like it.
Regards,
KZD
The application as is, please backup regularly, responsibilities are not mine, etc.
Will try it as I really need one ...
Thanx a lot ...
Well it's exactly what I needed
I'd like some advices about wich tools to use to develop and ... would you share your code to enable me to try and add some new functions (select sound, save parameters etc ...)
Nice - I am on vacation and need a way to keep my CrossFit workouts going while gone - this should help nicely. Thanks for sharing!

Hey does anyone had booted Win95 using dosbox? (the desktop edition)
If anyone knows how-to then please reply.
I need it for the future Win95-Niki booting.
go to development and hacking thread and do a search
i remember there was a thread for win 95 using bosch emulator
and yes it run very poorly and there is only enough mem to start stuff like paint and notepad
If you search on Google you will find about this, but I preffer to emulate a old 68k Macintosh with vMac
BUT Bochs (for PPC):
-is workin' slowly
-is buggy
-on mine Niki(WWE 6.1; R:1.58.16.27), when execute, nothing happens
if your looking to boot on pc i would try virtual pc.
unless you didnt want to use that?
Another very good VM is VirtualBox. And here is the link for Virtual PC.
But it must be DosBox, 'cuz it's avalaible for PPC
as are all the other suggestions people give

A WORD OF WARNING
you could use bochs to do it.
im trying to run win 95 on xda 2 but no luck yet.
so it might not work

Humm. flyboyovyick2k9 gave you a very nice tip
I have tried three different ways to build the Example 1 HelloPhone app for the Windows Phone 7 and I cannot connect to the emulator. It pops up and the OS initializes, but the bottom of the screen says trying to connect with the phone and then times out after a long time and gives a system call error dialog box.
I'm brand new to Windows Phone development so please excuse if this is a newbie question.
I'm using Visual Studio Express, I tired Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and two different Mac's (Macbook Pro and Mac Mini (latest new ones with the Core 2 Duo chipset). My Mac's run parallels version 4 and Windows XP or Windows 7.
Anyone seen this problem? I've posted this on the Windows Phone Forum too, but am not getting many hits. I can't believe something basic like this has me stopped dead in my tracks before even starting to learn how to program these phone.s

You have to register your phone as a Dev phone. You can use Zune to register
.
BTW, I think you have to be a registered developer (go to appHub) in order to be allowed to register as many as 5 WP7 phone as dev phones. If you are a student you are free to register for a year or if not you have to pay the $99 free per year.
If you are a student go to DreamSpark.... Find your school and register yourself.
Ok i was not sure where to place this thread, so with luck this is the right spot.
for the past 2 months i have been using a lumia 735 on windows 8.1, and i taught myself to code with c# and visual studio, i have even released an app (technically 2 apps as the 2nd one was a complete re-write to be a windows universal app) the thread for them is here http://forums.windowscentral.com/app-spotlight/353188-rpg-app-mr-g-reaper-thread.html
Now here is the issue, my windows phone is cool to program for but completly impractacal as well an everyday phone, tons of apps i used on my s4 are missing on it, the os is not as user friendly as android....its just not the right phone for me. So on tuesday my phone company is sending a courier to pick up my lumia and give me a xperia m2 (i didnt have much say in what android i got) naturally i want to adapt my app to work on the android os... only i have tried once before to write an android app and there is one thing that drives me crazy.....screen control, on visual studio you drag and drop the buttons to where you want them on the screen, and thats where they will be, on android you have to calculate the weights of the buttons to get them to share a certain amount of real-estate of the screen and well it never felt intuitive....guess im more a wysiwyg programmer. But i may of just been doing it wrong so here goes:
1) is there a way to create the gui in a wysiwyg manner? (like windows phone development in visual studio)
2) is there a way to code in c# instead of java? (for free, i have seen a service that allows you to do it for about $99 a month..... my apps are free, no adverts, a hobby, i cant pay out for that kind of thing
3) any tips for a newbie ?
