Hi, Guys,
When you purchase the Sprint LG G2, does it come with the MicroSIM tray ejection tool? Mine doesn't have it, just wondering if that's normal or not. Also was not able to find a good tool to eject the tray, paper clip is too thick for the hole. How do you put in SIM card?
Thanks!

Dude, just find the thinnest metal thing you have around and stick it in. Be careful not to break it tho if too thin. Or drop by nearest cell phone shop and ask them to assist you, I am sure they have tools and will be glad to help you with that.
Thanks!

My Sprint LG G2 did not come with a tool. I used a thumbtack.
A paperclip worked for me though.
Look for a paperclip which isn´t fat. xD
Or simply open up the back cover and use your nail to slide the tray out.
I found tooth pick also works, that could serve as a cheap alternative
I used a safetypin.

Same, I keep a safety pin with the sharp end filed down flat for opening sim trays.

Hi guys, got new genuine (not sure about it) galaxy note 2 back flip cover.
And noticed that it hasn't got two metal pins on it. Not sure why are they there for, IS IT MAIN ANTHENA? or has it anything to do with gps/wireless/bt ??
Should i remove it from my old back cover and replace, or it is not important thing ?
have a look at pictures, they will make more sense . Also what about area where question mark is ??????????

That'd be for the NFC antenna, which is in the top half of the back cover. If your replacement hasn't got this, it's NOT official.
Oh, and your pictures aren't working, so I'm just guessing that's what you mean.
Thank you man!! need to return it back than.

where did you get it from? retail shop or online?
My case doesnt have anything on the back either and I got it from the sprint store?
Do you mean the 2 brass flat points that look like rivets that seem to "touch" the 2 similar brass points right near the the SIM card? I have 2 cases, 1 direct from Samsung I got today and one from a local T-Mobile store (which is being returned because the Samsung was 1/2 price). The T-Mo case does not have it and the Samsung case does. Evidently they changed the design since a guy in this thread with a Sprint case does not have it either. I wouldn't yell "fake" so fast. They probably decided they weren't necessary.

Given the amount of people might be just switching phones using Micro-SIM, it is good to know if you can go back to your old phone in case if you drop your Gorilla Glass 2 eye candy phone.
So here is a pictorial how-to which will give you some idea as to how to make the adapter yourself if you have purchased a new Micro-SIM which comes with the full size SIM card.
Here is a comparison side by side:

We want to put the Mini-SIM into it's own full SIM and deck it on top of the Micro-SIM in the full SIM:
(Notice I use rubber band to lock it in place, you can use tape too)
Now, we want to mark it with a mechanical pencil for the best result, run the pencil along the Mini-SIM's edge as much as you can until it is as close as you can get to the edge of it.
After running it, it should look like this when you remove the Mini-SIM with full SIM:
Put the Mini-SIM on top of the outline you have made, run the pencil over the missing area:
Cutting time!
I cut it out to a rectangle first like so:
Cut out the key lock corner:
After the edges are smoothed (you can run the blade over the rough corners couple of times)
Pictures of comparison to old Mini-SIM:
For fun and giggles, I put it in the full SIM for Mini-SIM to see the accuracy:
I would love to take a picture of it sitting in my phone but my phone is my camera.
Let me know if this helps you and feel free to ask any questions if I left out details.

I don't think it's a good idea if you switch SIMs regularly to use this on the long term,
I had used something like this and it broke nearly making the MicroSIM impossible to extract...
The thing is that the sides are likely going to bend a little when you insert it and that what will make it break.
I got a NanoSIM adapter pack (including the Micro/Mini one) for something like $1.50 on eBay w/Free Shipping.

It is working for me so far in the Mini-SIM slot, I am not going to be switching back a lot, dont want to loose the SIM eject pin either. This is also a cheap solution and instantly usable. Don't have to wait for more shipping time, Nexus 4 ships long as it is LOL
I could NOT find a case that I liked. I tried the official, but wasn't fond of its inability to stand up on its own, nor its inability to keep the front flap closed. I know I wanted smart cover functionality, but they all seemed more bulky than I wanted. I didn't even necessarily want a CASE, just a cover/stand like the iPad smart cover.
So I did this. Started with one of these for $13:
http://microcenter.com/product/403316/Folio_Tablet_Case_for_Google_Nexus_7_Black
I carefully took a putty knife and removed the cover part from the plastic case part and used a double sided adhesive square that I cut to the approximate size and stuck it directly on the back of the N7. Its entirely removable with a little heat and some patience, and does exactly what I want lightweight, cheap, and about 15 minutes of time. The buttons and ports are all full exposed and if folded back, it still fits into an OEM dock. I don't have one but I tried it on a buddy's at work. Yes, I know I need to clean my screen.

Reupload the pics please.
Sorry! Fixed!
Neat. Glad it worked out. I was thinking of putting something together myself like this but I am not sure what magnet to use.
Which one did you end up using and where did you get it from?
Its built into the cover I linked to. The cover is double sided taped to a hard plastic shell from which I removed it.

Good idea man. I'm thinking I might try this with a TPU case instead of directly onto the tablet.

I'm thinking of doing this with a good quality hardshell case. Any suggestions on a good hardshell to use?
Hi everyone. I've been readind this forum for a while, and what I found was very use full and helped me a lot..
So ive decided to share some of my work too.
I was lookind for some time for a nice clean looking holder for my nexus 7 without luck, so I decided to build one.
Tricky bit was to install dock with hu together, as in my van I have no other place to install hu anywhere else so its easy accessible, I had to install above, i was worried that screen sticking out will look weird, but it actually look OK.
I have attached some pictures, any feedback is welcomed, and if someone needs some information I'm happy to help.
The most difficult was to ALIGN those charging pins, I have spend really to much time doing that.
Tablet is attacked using magnets. But n7 does not have any metallic parts on the back cover, so I had to put some metal behind back cover, I have used some Stanley knife steel blades

the only thing is delivery charge, unless you find something else to buy from them..
need a trade account or I have to spend over 20 quid to use a debit/credit card.....

Sorry, I didn't realised that, I bought a tester from them worth £40.
First one may do if spacing between pins is OK.
Second one I have used, that thin bit can be cut off and solder wire to thicker.
Sweet, cheers mate

My friend (elderly) gave me her Xperia Z so I could get her sim setup. Because I have been getting over 2 nights up straight, watching my dog (he has neurological issues and I am nursing him currently) I was really tired and accidentally put a micro sim adapter in the sim slot the wrong way up. Its now well and truly stuck in there. It started out being stuck half way (the hole wasnt coliding with the pins though so hopefully they arent damaged? then i pushed it in completely in the hope of maybe hitting an ejecting mechanism, no such luck. Im taking it to a local repair shop. Im really worried (she knows and isnt worried lol) that one of the pins might have been snapped off? I have tried shaking it about and I cant hear any rattling at all (maybe theres not enough room for it to do so even if it was the case) so maybe thats a good start. I did apply a bit of gentle force to pull it out but I didnt feel anything break or hear any snaps.
If I did break a pin, how much do you think it will cost for an independent phone shop to repair it for me? I dont mind paying the fee because its through my negligence.
probably would be cheaper to buy one used or online

Managed to get the guy round at the shop to get the back off for me and I have done the rest. I have now cut off the end of the adapter and I can happily report that NONE of the pins are broken! Great news. Now i just need to figure out how to get it out because the rest is still stuck. If I cut the one side more than the other I might be able to rotate it out.
