It didn't really leave SuperSU on it because it's telling you the binary is not on there and that you need to install it yourself... If this is your first time trying to root the phone I seriously suggest you go search the forums so you don't do something wrong... You should be unlocking your bootloader first and then installing recovery and SuperSU then making a backup in your newly installed recovery and THEN you can install roms/kernels... And you need a computer to do this!!

Followed instructions on a DIY video on YouTube as well as retried it with someone else's text version.
Phone is Unlocked
Says Tampered in Bootloader screen
Teamwin comes up if I go to recovery
Go to use ROOT CHECKER and says Not Rooted
Click on SuperSU app and says no binaries.
Any help is appreciated.
When you're in recovery, TWRP should have told you "it appears you aren't rooted, would you like to install SuperSU?" ...or something to that effect. It should then ask how you want it to be installed, and you choose the install in recovery,/TWRP...or whatever it says. DIY videos on YouTube aren't exactly going to be the most comprehensive. If you see none of the things I've mentioned, then in the HTC One xda forums, find and READ (and then read again, and maybe several more times) how to install custom recovery after unlocking bootloader.Follow the instructions to the letter.

I ran into the same issue when I first attempted root on this phone. SuerUser would be installed but no luck... Root check failed...First time Ive seen this problem actually....Not sure what the problem was never really tried to figure it out.. I just flashed a rom that was rooted already and Boom root was there. If your on 4.3 just flash a 4.3 rom in Team Win that's already rooted and you should be all set.

What he said (haha I was just too lazy to go find the link, but not too lazy to write a novel encouraging you to find your own solution? I must be that kind of jackass)...sorry about that. Hope the zip works. It definitely has for me, and sometimes I've lost root because superSU updates, and then I have to let it install in recovery again. It's that whole s-on thing...

Hello,
I'm buying much devices, test it and sell it.
But I like the zuk z1 very much (SOT is awesome)
So I search for a possibility to root the device,
Without going to the pc (adb method or smth) or just lazy like me.
Setup:
New z1 / 3AJ Firmware
Download kingroot Click me
Guide:
Download kingroot and open it,
Follow the instructions. U should be rooted.
Proof in the attachment, I hope it works for u all.
Bugs:
Some apps doesn't work. Better battery stats is one who don't work.
Edit:
BBS worked! , need two reboots to get it to work.
Maybe more, report if u try this method.
Just wait for CyanogenMod, no MS-Apps, no Bing, no 1 million Google Apps, Root just one click...
Hm.
U can freeze or de-install all that ****ty apps. ^^
Won't rooting stop the software updates which it clearly needs? That's what's stopping me atm
You can also get Supersume at the plays store to get rid of KingRoot, and put in CF Supersu.

I recall seeing that link a while back, but I could not find it, but I heard about Supersume, so I went that route instead.
I have ordered my Zuk Z1 on Thursday. I hope it will arrive until Tuesday. So I'm orientating already about how to root and so on. I don't see why you should root with Kingroot as you don't get updates from Cyanogen anymore when you have rooted the phone. It's a lot easier to unlock bootloader, flash TWRP and than flash SuperSu in my opinion, isn't it? Or do I miss something?
As far as I know, the problem is not Kingroot, but rather that in process of rooting the system partition is changed to read and write (r/w). Now every time the ota update script is running, they check if the that is the case and if so won't install the ota.
Just btw. I read in an other post here, that SuperSU replaces some files and that even if you should unroot, they still change them back, which also prohibits the OTA update script from running.
Which ever way you root and whatever recovery you have installed, you can still sideload the the updates, without loosing any of your data.
Download the "...ham-signed.zip" from this link
Here is the link to the post about the OTA files:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/development/official-ota-update-links-ota-updating-t3226990
And give Breadcrust and Radii a thanks next time you see one of their posts
P.S.: I have no clue of any of these things/ I am in no way a developer, it's just what I have found out so far, what it comes down to...

I'm trying kingroot den supersume to get supersu but it's saying no root in, root checker. Can dis dam thing even b rooted with a custom recovery?
I uploaded the 20.1.A0.47 kernel for you, this allows rooting with Towelroot. I'm assuming you know how to use the Flashtool (not the one from Sony). Make sure you have all the drivers installed for the device and then just click the lightning icon up in the toolbar. Choose the ftf file which you extract from the zip, and flash it into your device. The phone will boot up and all, and then you can just download and install Towelroot from towelroot.com. And you should be rooted! Just install SuperSU, update the binaries and you're good to go.
If you have recovery installed, like CWM or TWRP, you can grab a SuperSU zip file and install that and it should be rooted, but I'm not sure whether it actually works. The upper solution will always work.
There is this weird problem with my Xperia Z c6602. It charges only when its completely drained out!! It doesnt charges in between. So i think this is a problem of software. I googled it and many people had this problem. Now I want to Root and Flash a custom rom.
But i am able to only root it using KINGROOT. Now i need to UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER TO SET UP CUSTOM RECOVERY But i dont know how to do it because that usb port is not working!! What it does that only charge when completely drained and the phone doesnt even GETS RECOGNISED By PC!
I am stuck TOTALLY STUCK!!
I NEED A WAY TO JUST DOWNGRADE OR FLASH ANY ROM. I AM A TOTAL NOOB IN THIS CASE. I THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

I never know the way to put TWRP without PC before but there is a new Official TWRP App on PlayStore. It means you can flash TWRP without PC (I never test it myself). Maybe you can give it a shot.
I don't know If Kingroot would work but to increase success rate, install and run supersume.apk IMMEDIATELY after phone rooted. Means No reboot after rooting process is done. Supersume will install SuperSu for root management. Note that Supersume is a paid app.
The steps are:
- make sure your bootloader is unlocked (unlocking process by PC). There is a thread about this somewhere on this forum, but I prefer the Official way. Much reliable.
- install Kingroot and begin the rooting process (btw, I'm using kingroot v4.5 back then).
- If succeed, DON'T REBOOT, install supersume and begin the process (note: it's a paid app so if you wanna continue without supersume, you are free to go to the next step).
- Install Official TWRP App on playstore. Then install The latest TWRP for Yuga.
Note: I don't guarantee that this method will work 100%, and if you can't unlock your bootloader then there is nothing you can do. Sorry.
Hey, after I have tried to install gcam with root I wanted to unroot my phone. I just selected unroot device, it told me, that it is gonna restart. It did, but Right now my phone gets into Unlocked bootloader warning, android one screen and then No Command. And I really do not know what to do about it. I was able to get into this recovery mode. I was trying to flash android by ADB but it always crash at something around 40-45%.
ADB also told me, that TWRP was flashed succesfully, but I cant get in here. I really dont know what am I doing. So please, if you are about to tell me what to do, could you link some tutorial to it or just write it properly? I wont know how to do most of the things. Thanks to everyone
