[Q] Custom Watch faces?? - LG Watch Urbane

Hey guys
I'm trying to create my own watch faces with pics I have on my phone. I tried the Watch Styler app and it wants you to pay for everything. Is there another app that will work? Also, I have the Android Wear manager and LG Watch Manager installed. But the LG one wont work. Is it because the watch is already connected with the Android Wear app??

Hi,
actually there are a lot of apps for this purpose.
* Watchmaker
* Facer
* Watch Faces for Android Wear
You can create your own designs with them on your phone with your pictures and transfer the finished watch face to your Urbane.

Cool. Thank you

Hate to revive a 6mo thread, but since my question is essentially the same, I figured I'd re-request to make sure the three above are still the preferred among the community. I bought the Urbane as a Christmas gift for my wife (small part of me hopes she doesn't like it and I get to keep it for myself). To help sell the idea, I figured if I pre-installed a watch face made up of our two kids (1yo and 2.5yo), she'd be less likely to walk away from it.

Arriving Tomorrow

Hey guys,
My G Watch R is showing up tomorrow. Getting really excited. Been tracking it since it left South Korea on Thursday. It's in Memphis, TN right now. On it's way to Vancouver, BC.
I have put a few watchfaces and apps on my Google Play Wishlist that I want to load on the watch immediately.
Does anyone have any suggestions for watchfaces or apps to use on the watch?
Thanks!
My favorite watch face so far is Pujie Black. As far as apps, wear mini launcher is a must in my opinion. I also really like using IFTTT.

This is my favorite watch face as well. It's nice because you can still really read the time when a notification is blocking the hands.

[Q] Gear 2 Neo Facts as of today.

Hi, I'm interested in buying a Gear 2 Neo. I just want to ask a couple of questions before purchase one because I am also torn in buying a G Watch R or Gear Live/Moto 360(if it ever becomes available locally).
Q1: Can it sideload apks and stay and work without any issues? I read somewhere that they were able to sideload some apks but after some time, the apps disappeared and could no longer be reinstalled again.
Q2: Does Watch Styler faces work with it right now especially with the latest Gear Manager app? I even already download watch styler and downloaded watch faces and there are just some comments that make me wonder if it really works for the NEO.
Q3: Is it "LAGGY"? If you have used an Android Wear watch and compared it with this, is the performance noticeably slower? I'm kind of used to the lightning speeds of my Note 3 and I can quite annoyingly obsess about little lags.
This is just my main concerns for now. I hope you guys could help me. I have already watch tons of reviews but I want an answer from people who actually is "using" it. Thanks!

Intellicom WatchFaces

Am playing with Intellicom WatchFaces (no affiliation ) and I love it! Almost all WatchFaces have an "oled compatible" ambient mode and look great on the LG.
Didn't know the program till today and I'm also using facer and watchmaker but with those it was a hit and miss with lg r friendly ambient modes.
You can try it for free.
Let me know what you think of it.
Haha, reading the text I wrote it feels like an advertisement but I'm just sharing my enthusiasm
I agree. Been using Intellicom WatchFaces for a little bit now and find it easy and intuitive. It could use a few tweaks and fixes but so far it works very well.
Also get Facer and Watchmaker. Having all 3 allows you to get the best of the best.
I have all three and I would agree that Intellicom is the best. On a side note, I got this watch for Christmas and gave my pebble to one of my sons. Don't miss the pebble in the least. I did have to download "Vibration Notification"app so that I could feel my work email/appointment notifications more easily. Battery is usually between 25 and 40% when I go to bed so I'm happy.
It's the best atm for me too.
PUJIE APP
i use this one. Is great

Currently switching between these (the ones from creator Tuwak):

They look amazing on the LG.

When it says OLED compatible, that mean it changes places every minute the watch?

If the watch is in ambient mode the picture will shift, no matter what's on it.
With OLED compatible I mean two things:
1. Not to bright parts in ambient mode.
2. The ambient mode consists of mostly "thin parts", so when shifting the pixels will shift to black.
If you don't understand my excellent explanation , just check the burn-in threat in the general forum.
Based on the feedback from this thread I downloaded, tested and purchased this app. I've built what I consider to be the most useful and battery friendly watch face as it doesn't use white/blue colours (red and green LEDs use less power) and I'm getting 3% battery drain per hour.
If anyone has paid for the app, please consider downloading my watch face (battery epicness) from the gallery. It's not perfect just yet and I'm already on a v2 which removes some of the tiny issues (the word Wednesday was slightly out of the screen) and for anyone who wants a good mixture of useful info and battery savings this is a must.
If anyone would like me to share the v2 which is slightly better then please let me know.
Sure. Please kindly do share. I'm also heavily invested in Intellicom Watch Face and have what I consider an awesome looking face on at the moment...black background, with red and grey indicator colouring for time, date, day, battery level, month...
Please can you share a direct link to the app on Play? I can't find it by searching...

If searching for Intellicom Watch Face doesn't bring any results then it's probably not available in your country.
If you do happen to find it, you can gain access to the watch gallery once you've paid for the in-app purchase.
I am unable to find the download button in the gallery on my Note 4, I did purchase the premium. I looked in the FAQ section for the Intellicom app and found the alternate url but I still do not see a download button. If I go to it on my computer I do see it but if I download it on my computer how do I go about getting it on my phone to my watch? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Nevermind, I realized I could email a the file to myself and it automatically launches the app. Hope they get the app for the phone fixed as it's a little annoying to have to go through a computer and email it to myself.
Sorry for all the posts but quick update. I emailed them yesterday and they got the issue fixed, now you can download within the app. Nice to see they are on top of things.
Hi,
i've bought many faces apps (pujie, facer, intellicom, watchmaker etc...), but watchmaker is best for me

Check these out. Unzip the files to use all the hands, backgrounds etc.

I retired my G Watch and got the R a couple days ago and I am loving it. I'm also using Intellicom but this one is always a fallback one for me when I am outside and active. Looks great on both my watches and t's always very easy to see.

I love Intellicom. I just downloaded it, modified an existing one and uploaded it via their page.

I bought the premium app but after I flashed my phone I couldn't find it on google play no more. Does any one has the apk that wants to share it? Thanks.

[Q] How to get watch faces from PC to watch.

Apologies if this is a really noob question. I just got my watch today and I already have some watch faces downloaded on my PC. How do I get them from my PC onto my watch? I think they are both Watchmaker and Facer faces so I assume I need to download both of those. Is it a case of uploading the watch faces to google drive and downloading them onto my phone?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers.
Si
Well, I think the best way is to transfer to your phone and from there to your watch.
I don't see any way how to push them to the watch directly.(If someone knows how to do it, please tell us)

Are you a watch face junkie?

Since getting the "R" I have become a big time watch face junkie . I change the face I'm using during the daytime every day. And at night I use a different watch face, but usually the same thing. During the day, I like a luxery analog type face and at night I typically use this one I made myself, but sometimes other digital faces. So I'm always changing my analog daytime face daily and prefer a digital face in the dark. Because once I cannot see the marks on the bezel, the hands with a standby face are harder to tell time with.
So take the poll, share your habits and even share faces you prefer.
No, I use the Scuba watchface, nice and we'll readable. Looks Ok even in ambient mode.

I change face every day : one day analog clock and other day digital clock, alternate every 2 day with analog and digital
Single face, my own design (watchmaker). I have this since before Christmas and I think I'll keep it (I even ordered a nice leather strap to go with it )
When I first recieved my watch, I went through a watch face phase where I changed watch faces constantly. That eventually ended and I noticed I kept going back to the same one over and over again. Now I just use that one face. Maybe I'll use a different one for special occassions but my daily driver is the Scuba face.

I try others but rapidly get back to Instaweather. I must be a weather nerd...
I've got a few I use, a smart/dress code1, sports 1, casual 1 & yes Tonio78370 I love Instaweather.

I just uploaded that face on facerepo: http://facerepo.com/app/faces/details/minimal2-r-w-14aea412ab2
So I was running with this watch face today. (I know it's blue, which is higher on burn in. I configured it so only the hands would display in dim mode and I only used it today.)
I have to wonder, why and how would anyone with a Moto 360 make and use this watch face? Without any bezel, it's like guesswork to tell time [emoji2] .
I simply cannot believe some of the Moto 360 watch faces, that seem so impractical to use with no bezel. It's like they were really made for the "R" all along [emoji13] .

It's only a matter of taste and also of getting used to a certain style. There are real watches with no markers, just the hands.
I, for example, am able to tell time with 1-2 minutes accuracy, in that mode (w/o markers).

Your statement is understood and respected. I don't have such skills :silly: . Especially given the watch faces shift periodically.
Try it. You'll get used to it if you want to. However, we are having a digital watch so, I'll put on it as much info as I need - including markers

I'm preferring marks. I'm not into guesswork.
Im using tasker to automatically change my watch face every morning and also have autowear to allow me to swipe to change faces, but only have 10 faces that i like.
For my night digital face, I'm really started enjoying the Krona Sunlight Watchface. It's a good one to check out. How they do things with that watch face is unique.
