I would like to block OTA updates in 5.0.1.
I've looked for the previous updater file name (from 4.4.2), but that no longer exists. Does anyone know what/where the new path/file is?
Thank you.

I have a galaxy s5 that is not activated and would like to update to the latest stock, non rooted android version, which I believe is 5.0. I found a tutorial here:
http://www.droidviews.com/install-rooted-lollipop-on-att-galaxy-s5-sm-g900a/
that provides the lollipop firmware (Via the mirror, other link is broken).. However this doesn't work from 4.4.2.
I have been unable to find the 4.4.2->4.4.4 update. Does anyone know where to find this?
If this isn't possible, what are my other options to get to stock 5.0 version.
I was able to find them all from the following, https://www.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=27720
Just got a notice to update to 6.0.1 on T-Mobile. Does anyone know if the ota is the same as the factory image posted from google? Thanks.
People are getting the OTA since yesterday and it is updating their phone to MMB29K (which is same as factory image). Same would be the case with you. Btw, till now there is no other build number for 6.0.1
Thanks.
I was prompted to download the ota update but have not installed. Can I flash this update some how?
I'm on ATT N950U Snapdragon
You received the OTA notice for Oreo?

Click to collapse
Not sure if it's Oreo ... But I saw that ATT was pushing out the update.
Generally, all OTA/stock updates will break root. However, someone else may know a way to keep it.
You cannot install an ota while rooted. the verification will fail.
I haven't been able to receive OTA updates ever since I upgraded to OREO via Odin(couldn't wait). I am still on the March security patch. There have been a number of updates since then. I have checked to see if I have the correct region firmware installed (the CRC file) which was correct. Then I tried updating via Smart Switch which didn't work. I also tried wiping cache(don't want to factory reset) which didn't work. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated
You need to flash back to the ota path. so carrier firmware that wasnt beta stuff
No, I never flashed any beta firmware. I just flashed the Official Oreo Release Firmware pertaining to my region yet I am not receiving updates.
Hello, I am writing this because for the past year I have been manually downloading firmware and installing it into my s10 (G973U) I have never gotten an OTA update, and I'm guessing it's because I don't reside in the US nor do I have a US Sim card. My question here is if there is ANY way to fix this so I can get OTA updates. Yes I have tried SmartSwitch, doesn't work. I would greatly appreciate a detailed explanation since I'm new to flashing firmware and stuff. I am currently running the August security patch on Android 11.
...that should be the lastest update
