There are no blankflash files for the second gen. Moto X. The second gen processor is MSM8974. Yours says MSM8960 which I'm guessing is the original moto x. That's why it's not working. You're best bet if you can't get into fastboot is a warranty replacement. If that's even possible.

thanks for the reply... the solution is wait update :/ :crying:
The MSM8960 were the Droid RAZR series, like the RAZR M, RAZR HD, etc... The blankflash files for those were also not found (I've been working on trying to extract some files for them from my M). Not sure what device you are trying to unbrick, but it definitely isn't an X if it has the 8960 processor - either gen X.

Hi guys ...
good aftermoon..
The little I contacted the motorola here in Brazil, they requested that I send the smartphone to them, and so send me the price to fix.
However the analysis time is 30 days .. Is it worth sending to them or have left will have a solution via XDA?

That depends on if files get leaked. I would not count on it.

No, like @xKroniK13x said, it would have to be leaked from motorola which is probably not going to happen. If it does though, you will see it pop up in the forums somewhere.
R.I.P eterno !
I have some files and blank flashes from an xt925. I have an xt907 that is stuck in "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM10)". I got the zip from an ancient forum that was dedicated specifically for that phone, but is long dead. The xt925 (XT925_rcia-user-4.4.2-KDA20.117_mbm-ci) also has the MSM8960 (same as xt907). No one knows how to use these or if possible to even do so. I am willing to provide such files if it will get a few of us somewhere.

The xt1097 has msm8974ac soc.
I test a blankflash from xt1096 and does not works.
We need the blankflash for the same variant.

Thanks for the reply. But the Dev edition isn't on that list.
Kinda starting to freak out at the moment.

Ok. I feel like a dumbass right now. ON that whole list, I don't see any dev edition model. Am I supposed to just flash the Tmo one?

Yes, they are identical, tmobile uses the "retail" non branded version of firmware, same as the dev edition.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it.
I'm trying to add the file to RSDlite and it's saying it failed to create and that the file path was too long.
Any thoughts?

I deleted the line, put the file back into the .zip and tried again. same error.
Never mind! Fixed it. I was trying to flash the whole .zip. Didn't realize I only had to click on the xml file.
Can I use the Factory image from Motorola?
Hi Guys,
I've got the Fido/Rogers Moto x.
With a unlocked boot loader could I flash the GSM factory image from Motorola?
MOTO X, GSM Dev Edition:
KK 4.4-13.11.1Q2.X-69-3_MR2 (Retail)
Thank you

Yep! There is chance you may lose band 7 LTE support though.
I know I'm a little late to this thread, but I can confirm that the T-mobile 4.4 retail version works flawlessly on Rogers Moto X with unlocked bootloader. LTE appears to be working fine with 50Mbps DL speed which is what I was getting on stock Rogers as well. Everything seems to be in order.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this thread to help me learn
I have a soft-bricked Moto X XT1055-DE (GSM Developer Edition) that I can boot into fastboot with, and that's it. Does anybody know where the stock Firmware files are for this device? The host I was using had them yanked down.

{UPDATE}
I have located another source for the firmware files here: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/recovery-images
They must be requested, but they'll give them to you after making you wait.

No, it's not. The idiots at Moto Care seemed to want to brick my phone. They told me THAT was the model number, but now I know better.

I think there is an XT1053 and XT1055 GSM Dev Edition.
Btw, the GSM Dev image that you can download from the motorola link above is for the XT1053, I don't know if you noticed from the file name.
But I believe the hardware of all Moto X models is the same, it's just the software that's different. I'm running the XT1053 image on my XT1058 and it works fine.

Select OTHER CARRIER OR RETAIL, you would see a Moto X - DE (XT1055).
This suggests that there is an XT1055 DE as well...
Thanks for your help. I noticed after taking my Moto X out of the case that the model number is glazed on the bottom. It is, in fact, the XT1053.

But the user, don't answer my question.....:/
Hi,
I got the Consumer Cellular version of the Moto G even though I use don't use that carrier (I unlocked it). I am wondering how much different it is from getting the one from the company-from moto's website? Also, will I get the OTAs on time, because I am still on 4.4.4. My phone is XT1064 and everyone keeps saying that the android 5.0 is out for XT1064 and XT1063 but when I checked, it said I was at the latest firmware. Sorry if these questions are dumb!

Motorola is releasing the update in batches, which mean your batch didn't get the update yet. If they let all the Moto G 2nd gen users get the update at the same time, chances are that there servers will crash.
Which is probably why they are releasing the update in batches.
BTW don't worry about Android L too much. Your Moto G won't start performing like Moto X when you get the update.
K, thanks
Wifi hotspot is disabled in Consumer Cellular branded Moto G and there is a consumer cellular app installed.
This is all the difference between it and a retail unlocked motto g. It you read through the threads, you can flash the retail rom, and even lollipop on it.
