Whenever I push my power button my phone seems to do a soft reboot. Is there any way to turn this off and to revert back to normal reboot menu when holding button down. I am running CLEANROM 2.2.

This is usually a bug when something has broken the power menu. Maybe an Xposed module or a theme or something.
I can't get xposed to install

Well, its either an app, theme, mid interfering or a problem.with your rom.

Instead of doing the usual VOLDOWN + PWR and then waiting a couple minutes to get into the bootloader and selecting recovery, is there any button combination to boot directly to recovery?
i have AMON-RA 2.2.1 if that makes any difference
Nope.
Couple of min? It's 2 sec to bootloader, and another 10-15 sec to recovery.
If you're rooted use Quickboot

Rom manager, a number of roms also come with 4way reboot mod which gives us the option to reboot to recovery on press of the power button

pretty much rom manager is the way I do it.. There should be a way to do it like you say op
You could go with a rom manager. I know CWM does it. Also if you don't mind you can use the cable and adb (assuming you have the sdk-tools) from your computer.
PHP:
$>adb reboot recovery

No power button necessary

The vivid is extremely easy to disassemble, remove the plastic frame, and use your finger or a paperclip to press on the actual power button.
try to do
adb reboot bootloader
It takes you directly to fastboot and you can flash whatever you want without the power button.
Actually you need the power button to make selections in fastboot...

Hello,
I broke the screen of my Nexus 6. Need to reset it before sending for repair. Any bright ideas?
Is debugging already enabled?

Everything is as per factory settings no rooting no nothing.
If the digitizer is broken, probably not much you can do. If the screen can still be pressed, you can reboot to recovery and do a factory reset. Hold volume down + power and then reboot to recovery and choose to factory reset
