1- Try dialing *#*#3424#*#* to get to the diagnostics, and use the Line Drawing Test to see if all of the touchscreen is working.
2- ""touching" itself like a ghost" go to Settings -> Developer options -> enable Show touches to track if the screen is "hitting" itself
Anyone else having issues like this? As far as the camera cannot connect error I have read about people with that problem and I literally tried every single suggestion. I'm not a n00b so this is really bugging me (see what I did there) Anyway all of these pictures are with the same phone. On stock 5.1.1 I RARELY could connect to the camera. With Android M preview I can at least connect about 80% of the time. However, results aren't always good. Should I just suck it up and call and get it replaced? Or is the actual phone OK and I'm one of the unlucky guys with the camera bug.

Same here. Had to RMA. Unable to connect and purple pixilation.
Thanks guys. Got mine swapped out at the store. Camera pops up right away and works awesome. Other things I noticed is that this new one perfectly fits my case mate folio case. The other power button must have been off by a little bit. This new one also got 50k+ on Antutu. I was lucky if the old one hit 43k.
Whenever I click a potrait photo the camera lags for a second and no button works during that time. September update is here but the problem still exists. Is anyone else experiencing this type of problem ??? What can be the possible solution ? ???

I think it's a software problem as many have been experiencing the issue. Mine for example will begin to display a solid green after a while. The only TEMPORARY fix for me is to go to Settings > Installed apps > Camera > Storage > Clear data > Clear all data. Try and see if it works for you.
Below is what my issue looks like, and eventually it will give me an error that will not let me open it. Many people have been experiencing different issues in which the camera stops working. I've submitted a report of mine via the Feedback app, so hopefully they fix it.

Hey guys,
I just bought my Mi 9 yesterday and I have some really annoying problems with those Notifications... Like many people I don't get notifications properly shown in the status bar, which I solved somehow with that: https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/themes/app-notification-fix-mi-9-t3918964
That's nice so far, even though it does not work 100% of the time.
But whats really a pain in the ass is, that I dont get notifications on the lock screen either and also no LED notifications. Also while charging the LED isnt working. That means somehow the phone is unusable for a big part of it's purpose right? I found this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3907830 and there is no solution and no answer since one month. I tried every single setting I could find about notifications. Nothing helped
Do I miss something or is everyone just accepting this huge bug and no one knows to to anythin about it? No workaround, no solution?
I even think about returning the phone. How is it possible this phone gets such great reviews and test results everywhere if it has such MAJOR problems?
Additionally I can't save pictures taken with the camera if it's opened via shortcut (double press AI button).. someone already mentioned that here and didn't get any help...
If anyone has informations, solutions or workaround for those problems, I'd be super thankful
Edit: Im on MIUI Global 10.2.24 and I'm using the POCO Launcher...
I have the same problems.
Led blinks only in white colour for a short time and that's it. Very annoying and I also don't get icons in status bar.
Is it really just a official bug in the global ROM?
