Camera Lag - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

Whenever I click a potrait photo the camera lags for a second and no button works during that time. September update is here but the problem still exists. Is anyone else experiencing this type of problem ??? What can be the possible solution ? ???

[Q] Is my phone camera broken??

I've been having this problem with my phone's camera, every time I start camera this "pink" split screen will appear and the camera app crashes.
What's going on here? (and no I haven't dropped my phone, yet)
Well find a few camera apps on the market and see if they do the same.
It's possible the camera is damaged, in which case you would have to resort to warranty.

I downloaded other camera apps and they work fine, this problem seems to plague the native camera app. Very odd. Has somebody else faced this problem?

Very odd. You could try a reflash to see if it solves any problems..
The problem returned again! I'm pissed, I started getting this issue after I flashed last time to JM5. I might have to re-flash or just wait for Froyo to come out (if it ever comes out )

[Q] camera no longer working

Hi everybody,
I updated cym to 7.1 a few days ago and since then the camera no longer works. When I click the camera button the first image the camera sees freezes and that's it. I can't focus on anything else and nothing happens until I push the exposure button again and then all I get is a fuzzy, blurry picture of whatever the camera first saw.
Anyone have a solution for this problem or know what's causing it?
Thanks for your help
Richard

Friend of mine have same problem on I9001. See how it is fixed on that phone. I think probably Skype version problem.
Most OEMs provide flipped output front camera.I don't know the reason

so we users i9070 have this problem? we just live with it?
i trien switch on auto screen rotate...
then i found out LANDSCAPE MODE esp when rotated "counter clockwise" is fine
so i think guys for us to fix flipped cam is to enable screen rotation... (skype)
however... the "yahoo messenger" video plugin still closes and still NOT letting us use the video calling
tried to take a look at hardware and its hard for the ffcam to manualy maneuver due to the fixed position ribbon cable inside.

It's controlled from kernel and camera libs.
Not really. A simple build.prop value might fix it. I don't remember the value though. You will have to find out..

Hi Joiner22,
I had the same problem with my phone (ZUI 2.0.048 ST, Android 6.0.1).
Since I upgraded to (ZUI 2.5.355 ST, Android 7.0) the problem was solved

I did a test with the newest stock and custom rom. But the problem persists.
I have this problem since at least a year and it seems to be a really common issue with the Zuk Z2 Pro.
It has something to do with the autofocus component, so it is primarily a hardware issue. The only workaround I have, is, to shake the phone when the camera app is open, so it tries to refocus. (while shaking it might be possible that you here some loose parts in the camera)
Hope that helps and yes it is really annoying.

Yes, it was exactly like that but as I said, after upgrading one week ago to ZUI 2.5.355 ST, this problem was solved. If it comes back, I will say something
I changed the rom and it did not work. I had to buy a new camera module on AliExpress.

Camera (video mode ruined)

After I got the September patch which also included "AIS" in the update has completely ruined the camera on my HPlay (only video mode).
It looks extremely grainy when I switch to the video mode, almost like a VGA camera. This happened after the update was installed. And the problem persists even after I turn off the Stabiliser.
Anyone has experienced similar issues?
Build : 8.2.0.125(C675GT)
Edit : I tried some different camera applications off the playstore and they all work great, so the problem is with the actual stock camera app
