Hello all I am in a Real pickle here lol
I received a Nexus 6 today as insurance replacement (my awesome one did a triple back flip out of my pocket) I was able to start the "new" nexus 6 followed prompts data restored on device and prompted to install 5.1.1 updated went thru process and initializing then phone got stuck on a Boot loop of the google screen and would not get to boot animation so then i went into the boot loader menu and recovery and performed factory reset and wipe cache now the phone will boot up past the google screen into the boot animation and then freeze on boot animation then restart back into a google boot loop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (And before anyone says send it back T-MO by accident sent me 64gb N6 and I had a 32gb N6 hence the reason I am trying to fix it )
Thank you !!!

Try manually flashing all the android 5.1.1 system files. You can download them on Google's dev site which includes instructions on how to flash the files.

Hope this helps! If you have any questions, just ask.

I could only find three references to boot loop in the Moto G troubleshooting area...so here I type.
phone is XT1064
Was trying to side load Lollipop. Got to the boot menu no problem...when I selected Recovery the phone rebooted and got stuck on the Moto logo screen "powered by android."
I'm able via external reset get back to the boot menu, but whatever option I choose I end up looping...
Just spent a couple of hours with Moto tech support...painful, avoid if possible. The script pages were turning so fast I thought there were wind gusts in the tech office!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

did you have your xt1064 rooted? i have mine rooted in lollipop, i also have the boot loop when starting sometimes, so far you can uninstall root via super user app and solve the problem or have patience untill some good developer fix this problem, to get out of the boot loop i find that connecting to charger the phone does the trick for me, it take like 3 minutes to start, if i uninstall root it starts very fast, im waiting for a solution.
I have a Note (GT-N7000) which has decided to no longer boot up completely. It is unrooted stock ROM. It manages to get bast the initial boot screen, but gets stuck on the SAMSUNG splash screen.
I can:
Boot into Recovery
Boot into Download Mode
Use ADB
see it in device manager as aMTP Device (although I can't see the actual device contents)
I have data (appdata, and files/documents)on it I need to get off, is there any hope?
It's my wifes phone, so some of you probably know how important this is!
Any help appreciated.

From what I've read, I guessed I'm screwed, but was hoping there was something I missed. Look slike the phone will be relegated to a drawer in the hope that one day I can get data back. Look out Note 3! (or 4 if the budget can stretch)
Solved!
So, I ended up installing PhilZ-cwm6 - Safe Stock Based Kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191) and could then boot into a custom recovery, mount USB and copy all the data off.
All good. Now to factory reset and see if phone comes back to us. Already got a new Note 4 to replace the old girl, so not a issue anymore.
Hey guys,
I was using my phone today and decided to turn it off. I am currently on 5.1 and I am rooted on stock. When I turned it back on, I was kind of stuck on a boot loop but I can usually bypass this by holding down the power button until I feel a quick vibrate and then my phone starts doing the "Optimizing Apps...". However, it didn't do that this time so I decided to reboot my phone into recovery, wipe the cache and dalvik and restart. Again, stuck on the boot animation screen. So I just let it run its course and then all of a sudden I see my phone go to the home screen but my launcher is reset and I am running out of cache space. I decide to connect my phone to my computer and backup some files. As I backup the last of my DCIM folder, my phone reboots and all of a sudden I have the new Motorola boot animation with the stitching I guess. But then I'm stuck at the bootloop again.
Anyone else experience this or know how I can fix this? I reaaallly don't want to factory reset.
I recently did a reset via settings on a gen 1. No change in boot animation. I then did a reset via stock recovery and got the new animation. I then did another reset via settings and during the first boot it had the old animation but subsequent boots have the new animation.
So i've got this old XT1064 that i ended up passing down to my brother, but he managed to brick it a while ago. A few days back my friend's phone got stolen, so i decided to try and fix this old brick that was sitting in my shelf. Its the Canadian version XT1064. It used to have a custom rom when it got bricked (no clue wich one, long ago.)
Anyways, the problem is; Its constantly in the booting animation. Its not rebooting over and over as it usually happens in a bootloop. The animation just never ends. It doesn't restart, doesn't start into system etc. The only way to get out of the booting animation or powering it off is by hard rebooting it (holding power for 10 secs.)
I've tried a number of stock roms of different versions for the XT1064 and absolutely nothing seems to fix it.. When i try flashing a rom with fastboot, everything shows up as "OKAY [ #.###s]", yet when i reboot it gets to the same animation as before..
Here's a youtube video of the booting animation: /watch?v=HoSds0LULH4
My friend has no money to buy a new phone for a few months and i really want to help her out.
Thanks in advance!
I presume you cleared all the caches and user data and tried again.
Just installing ROM's won't clear caches, you need to use the mfastboot erase command to clear them.
I my case, I had a bootloop, which was not fixed by just flashing a stock ROM.
I had to erase all the caches etc as well
I have a 5th gen Kindle (Kids Edition) that is bone stock. With the recent update it received to 5.6.2.0, it seems like it's stuck in this endless upgrade/downgrade loop. It runs 5.3.6.4, then it will upgrade to 5.6.2.0, reboot automatically. After awhile, it will download the 5.3.6.4 automatically to "upgrade" it, auto reboot to 5.3.x, then after awhile, it will find the 5.6.2.0 upgrade and upgrade it.
It seems to do this constantly and I can't figure out a way to get it out of this loop! I've reset it to factory, did the boot loader wiped the davlik, did a factory wipe/reset from there, and still nothing. The exact same thing.
I was hoping somebody could share a hint on how I can get this device out of the loop and back working normally again.
Thanks!
