Is that possible? I thought I've seen some screen shots with different pulldown menu mods but multiple searches yield nothing. Is this even a thing?

May be an Xposed module but otherwise would be in the themer's territory. Could also be AOSP and their mods. AOSP and CM not always the same as Android.
I haven't used cm in years but I thought exposed wasn't working on 5.1 aosp?

Think it works on stock. I don't use AOSP, CM or Xposed so not sure. I use stock all hand hardcoded with Lean Kernel.
Xposed is alpha (experienced users) but there is a 5.1 version
Use a custom rom

you can add them, remove them, and change whats there, but its in m right now, only. or, you can use a custom rom that includes the option.

You mean like this? If so, the only way I have seen it done it's with Layers and he ROM has to support it. I believe it can be done with the CM theme engine, but I have been seeing a lot of negative stuff to include security flaws with their theme engine.

Hey, I was wondering whether it is possible to hide the time on the notification bar, specifically on MCR24 Froyo. I searched and came across small pieces of information but nothing concrete. I hear CM6 has this option so it may be possible but I've no idea where to start in porting it.
Thanks!
Just use CM.

I use CyanogenMod 6 Nightly N1, and it is an option:

Thanks but ever since CM6 I've had constant reboots. No idea why but unfortunately CM6 isn't an option at the moment
I'm gonna keep digging and will update this thread if I come across anything.

May be you could try wiping the cache and the Dalvik cache before flashing CM6 if you are coming from an earlier version of CM or else do a complete wipe with coming from a different ROM altogether. That should take care of the reboot issue
Hey guys.
I'm always curious what's the fastest ROM out there.
I don't want to see benchmarks, just the "REAL EVERYDAY FEEL" of the ROM counts.
At the moment I'm switching between RasSaber, SaberMod and the AOKP PUB builds by Whitehawkx, bigxie or kecinzer.
Most of the time I pair it with the latest franco nightly.
Since I tasted the smoothness of these various set-ups, I'm always coming back since PA for example is just quiet a bit slower.
So enough said. Can someone point to a faster set-up in comparision to the above mentioned??
Greetz.

Try them all out everyone has different opinion. Please don't make threads like this

I know that there's nothing like the "best" ROM, but there was huge progress in performance with the new gcc toolchains. Just wanted to know if there were other ROMs as fast. With the actual population of ROMs I cannot try them all
theres no right answer for real feel, as real feel will be different for everyone, and every setup. there isnt a way to measure real feel.

In developer options change everything from 1.0 to 0.5, get Nova Launcher, choose in settings Super Fast for animations and evrey rom will fly for you
These threads just turn into people posting the ROM theyre currently on. Just try them all until you find one that you think is fast, There Is No Other Way™

Anyone thought of porting the FIND 5 Rom to our device? It's open source so I would assume it would be possible but I'm not a dev any thoughts?
In the mean time, here is the OPPO Launcher +Apps +Project FireFly
Only issue so far that I have seen is that the app drawer causes a fc on the launcher when exiting back to the home screen. Works best in full screen with PIE enabled.

Really? I always thought it was lighter. From the look of it, looks similar to MIUI.
I'd definitely be willing to test that if an alpha was ported

Just download the source plug in the nexus 4 device configs spend several days working endlessly to make it compile, then spend another 3 weeks fixing all the bugs, should be simple enough, lolz

lol, that would be awesome.
In the mean time, found the launcher online and even project firefly works on it. Will add to the op in just a sec.
I recently rooted, now unrooted, my phone and went to get gravity box to customize my stoxk ROM. After doing everything with the framework and reboots, I went to change some settings around. After 20 mins or so I got fed up with it b/c only a handful of stuff would work. Wanted to know if this is a common problem, if I missed a step, and how can I fix this.
Pretty simple, won't work as advertised if you're not rooted, or an I missing something?

When I tried this I was rooted, but after it not working right I un rooted my phone
Not everything will work because most modules are aimed specifically for AOSP ROM's. Meaning pure Vanilla like the Nexus phones have. So naturally not everything will work on other phones because the framework is different.
You have to download more specific modules to have a higher chance of stuff working like G2 Xposed or G2 Settings. Even then everything will not work as it's mainly made for the G2.
Is there anything good for the flex? I have the G2 xposed and nothing is cool really.
Sent from my LG-LS995 using XDA Free mobile app
I use mainly G2 Settings to have some statusbar tweaks such as centered clock and hide various icons.
I also use Blurred System UI for a nice notification pull down.

Of course I'm rooted. I'm running a custom ROM, custom kernel, etc. No Xposed though. Do I need to download a weather provider from the play store for it to work? Does it basically read whatever your weather provider informs you?
