I see @Hashcode used to have stock images for Tate but those links are no more. Just bought fire phone and running cm11 very smoothly (came w a year of prime for $159 total--best phone deal ever!) But now I'm using my kfhd much less and figured my son could use it for books and stuff. Can someone point me toward a way to revert to stock but still keep root? I'm not quite ready to give up control so I really would like to stay rooted if possible. Thanks a lot
No one at all? lol.
I'll do a little more searching. The methods to return stock are out there but the ones I found involve losing root.

I will. Thanks. Didn't think I'd get a response to this.
You could also search for rootjunkys.com as this is his website as well as rootjunkysdl.com, they are run by the same person, the website has links to his youtube channel

How do you unroot from N900AUCUBMI1 back to N900AUCUBMI9 I tried the option unroot in superusr and it just made all the force closes worse
Try to PM designgears and ask him. I asked in the first user post if he could post an original ROM or something for users to unroot, but I guess he didn't think that was a good idea.

It has been posted multiple times and it is in the OP of the root thread but I will repost it here
"Why N900AUCUBMI1?
Well, this is all I have access to right now. Once I have N900AUCUBMI9 files, I will update the process."
designgears does not have the N900AUCUBMI9 files.
no one does yet.

yeah I tried the TB fix it just made it so I could restore all the apps. maybe i'll try again when I get home later. I know like instagram would close saying something about the system and quadrant standard also closes. Do those close for you also?

quadrant standard runs but tells me it can not contact the network to submit the results.
I do not get a force close
but it sounds like a issue with quadrant standard and android 4.3.
googling "instagram issues with 4.3"
returns a lot of results. I do not think it has anything to do with the note 3 and we need to wait for them to fix the app as well.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if it is possible to downgrade my Moto X from AT&T running on 4.4.2 down to 4.2.2?
There's a very big risk of bricking your phone if you downgrade. Either right away, or by accidentally taking an ota after.
Some say there are ways to downgrade, but most here will just simply say... No. You can't unfortunately.
Again, you can research how to supposedly do it "safely".... but even following those directions, mistakes can happen, and boom. Paperweight.
Plus ... there's no real reason to. That I can see.

Also, questions go in the Q&A section. For future reference.

Ok thank you very much for your response. Oh man :/ well the thing is that I was wanting to root my phone but it seems like
there isn't a way to do this unless the phone was downgraded.
Alright, before I get all into this post, If I'm like, posting this in the wrong section I apologize deeply. New, but I would love to have this question answered.
I recently switched from iPhone to my Nexus 6. Love it. I want to root my Nexus 6 though, I have this from T-Mobile and it's running Android 5.1 right now, are there any guides out there or videos that you could link that runs me through how to root it that won't break my phone since I'm running 5.1? Thanks.

You don't need to flash twrp.
a) You can fastboot boot cf-auto-root.img
b) You can fastboot boot twrp.img and then adb sideload root.zip through it.
This is a Nexus with fastboot. Not a samsuck.

The only thing breaking phones is not knowing what you`re doing followed by making the wrong decision All 2 above suggestions are great btw.

The whole experience across the board everything including the camera has improved. It is literally like getting a new phone. This is a killer value phone now. Picked mine off eBay open box for 280 bucks and after this update it's a hard phone to beat for this price point.
Works perfect, this is the final build.

Seems like it, the 60fps mode on 4k seems to be way better now.
The update caused my Google Pay to no longer work. The app cites that my phone may be rooted or using unofficial software. Other than that everything is quite an improvement.
What about OTAs now? Will they still work when sprint releases them?

No why would an update unlock an IMEI? IMEI number stays the same no matter the update and even v40 sim doesn't get unlocked if you flash a custom rom
Does anyone have a work around for Google Pay after the update?
can i install this on my unlocked AT&T g8?
