[Q] USB Port acting up? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Hey guys. I've had my gs6 edge for 4 weeks and one day the usb port started to act up. I tried using other usb cabled and it worked sometimes but I couldn't move the phone or it will discharge. And now the phone says power sharing mode is turned on but there's no cable plugged in!! Should I go to verizon and have them replace my phone and has anyone had this problem?

[Q] This doesn't seem good....

When I plug my captivate it no longer connects to my computer, a couple weeks ago I plugged it into my car charger and it asked how I wanted to connect every time I turn the phone off and plug it in to charge it automatically turns itself back on. I'm running Cognition 4.1
Does anyone have any solutions on how I can fix this?
Flash stock to check.
Try a different cable.
Clean the USB port on the phone.

[Q] Captivate shuts down when USB plugged in

The only similar question had no answers, so I'm going to give it another shot.
My wife's Captivate (Froyo, rooted) has suddenly developed a nasty habit of powering off whenever the USB cable is connected. The instant the cable is inserted the phone goes black. Unplug the cable, press "power" and the phone boots up fine.
1. She swears she didn't do anything (like dropping it) to cause the problem. And there doesn't appear to be any physical damage around the port.
2. The problem isn't limited to a single cable, and the phone used to work with all the cables tested,
3. While plugged in, the phone will not turn on but the battery will charge.
4. The phone works fine when unplugged.
5. Wiggling/torquing the connector has no effect.
-edit- 6. The phone doesn't die unless the standard USB end of the cable is connected. Just connecting a loose cable to the phone has no effect.
Any thoughts?
Since u posted edit 6.....maybe it is the usb port u r plugging into. Try another port or another pc, etc. Just thinkin process of elimination.

Thanks for the reply, but we can eliminate that. No matter what's on the other end--computer, charger, etc--it kills it.
Try a different battery, if ya got one. May be goin bad and then when u plug in the usb the voltage change triggers something. Idk...just guessin.
But it really sounds like the problem lies with the phone's micro usb port bein bad.

Whatever the problem was, it was fixed by updating from froyo to stock gingerbread.

USB Connection Stops Working After Phone Drop

Yesterday my phone dropped from about 2 feet until the back cover and battery "opened". :crying:
Then today I realized my USB connection does not work anymore (bye bye mtp, adb)...at least it charges.
And sometimes my sdcard get "removed" for unknow reason, so I had to power off, pull out, put it the sdcard again and reboot to make it work.
....the durability of this device is not that great....
You should buy a case.

C6903 No longer charging.

My Z1 has started playing silly games, it no longer charges properly! It will be fine for a while, typically ten minutes or so, then it will pop up a warning message saying the connected power source isn't charging the battery. It will then drain faster than it can charge. Last night for example I put it on charge around 7pm with 67% and took it off at 8am this morning, but it's dropped to 3%. I've tried various chargers and cables, the dock, all 3 of my magnetic cables (how I normally it charge anyway) and tried all the usual methods of reset such as holding the red button under the SIM port down. Nothing works. It started around two weeks ago, since then I have flashed another firmware but the problem persists.
My phone is currently plugged into a 2 amp capable magnetic dock plug with the Sony plug that comes in the box. Just typing this message it's drained the battery 9% while on charge, wifi on and network off, screen brightness down and no other apps open.
I've spoken to Sony and they won't do anything, my rear glass is cracked so they won't even look at it and they seem to think it's water damage! The phone hasn't ever seen water so that's a load of BS from them.
What can I do?

That doesn't work, the problem still persists. That's the first charger I tried when the handset started not taking a charge.

Looks like you need a new device as it could be when the back cracked the battery got moisture (not direct) infected

Greaaaaaaat. That's the last thing I need :-S I've just tried my girlfriends iPhone charger and it seems to charge it, very slowly. I will have to dig my Blackberry out as a back up and see how the Z1 goes.

I have the same problem after updating to KitKat. I'm using dock station too, but not the one that came with my phone (I didn't got any with it).
I put my phone to charge, and after 5-10 minutes it starts to show the message. One time I found my phone drained till 0% in the morning. So, I found a simple solution for my phone. Before I put the phone to charge, I turn it off, wait 2-3 seconds then turn it on. I immediately put the phone to the dock in the boot process. That's the only way I can properly charge my phone.
Hope this will help you...

Z1 earphones

Hi. Till a few days I have all the time the connection of earphones message. It says they are connected and after it says they are disconnected many times as like off on off on and so on. I see it every time I rewake the phone even if I don't plug them. But when I plug them they work correctly. What could this be?
Try to wash out jack connector. Maybe dust or something.
