I got old SAMSUNG ativ s phone. There is some engineering rom. When I start phone, exist text "not for resale" I can,t update it to WP 8.1.
There is now version: 8.0.9900.568, device version: 2424.12.09.9. Operator: Open market device (Europe).
I tried to upgrade with some Guide from Internet, but It say,s someting from UEFI version.
Do not try to install 8.1
You will brick the phone (as I did)
If possible I would like to get a hold on the ROM you have so I can maybe revive my bricked ATIV S

Hello.
I just bought a new Galaxy S phone online. The phone was unlocked (originally T-mobile). The phone has firmware 2.1 update 1. When I run the Samsung Kies utility, it tells me that there is an update for the phone (probably firmware 2.2). If I update the phone will it continue to work or it will become locked again?
Sorry if the question sounds stupid but I am a newbie to this and I don't want to mess something up. Is there a way to backup the existing firmware so that if anything goes wrong I can restore it?
Thanks

Are your phones time settings correct, if not try manually changing it then trying again. I have just been reading and others have factory reset their devices to fix the issue but would not go that far, try setting the time/date manually if its wrong.

Hi, I own a Refurbished Huawei H883g. I know that this phone came stock with the Portico 8.0.10211.204 which does not allow you to upgrade to the Windows Phone 8.1 OS. In order to get to that OS I flashed the GDR1 update to the phone, then updated to GDR3. As it is my phone has the following settings:
Name: Windows Phone
Model: HUAWEI W1-U00
Software: Windows Phone 8.0
OS Version: 8.0.10521.155
Firmware Revision Number:
1030.5614.01000.20900
Hardware Revision Number: HD1U8835M Ver. B
Chip SOC Version: 8230
Now that I flashed the phone though, I did more research after some trouble and found out that due to drivers I can't upgrade to Windows Phone 8.1 after all. Not only that, but now that I have flashed the phone I can't get 4G service and am stuck with EDGE. Now I just want to flash the stock ROM back on. My problems:
1. I'm a total amateur and barely got through the first flash.
2. I can't find the stock ROM.
3. I'm assuming I'm gonna need the original drivers as well.
4. I need the bootloader as well.
-OR-
If any one could tell me how to get 4G service back I can just stick with the OS I have and be happy.
Pleeeeeeeaaase help me!
Hi,
I did have PfD so my operating system is on 8.10.14192.280. Since then, Samsung released their own OS and new firmware. My phone somehow didn't get this upgrade. I'm still on 2212.13.11.2 firmware. Searching suggests for i8750 users to downgrade to GDR2 and let update do the rest. But I have an T899M, of which people say not to flash i8750 roms. Now, how do I get the new firmware (2424.etc) ?
Regards,
Hello guys;
First of all, Let me post my phone software info:
Android Version: 4.4.2
Build Number: KOT49H.G870AUCU1ANG3
Phone Location: out USA
I tried all methods available to update my phone at least lollipop not even Marshmallow! and every time i get the message "The is the latest software update available to your phone"!
I tried the software update inside settings, Kies 3 (also emergency recovery method), Smart Switch, AT&T SIM Card inserted with USA VPN...etc)...non of them worked for me!
Does any one manage to have a legit Lollipop or Marshmallow Odin Stock Flash?!
I saw some methods over recovery with OTA update packages but it is too risky since there is no Stock ROM for the device in Sammobile also i am afraid to brick the device or losing IMEI and no service Box is supporting it!
looking for your help!?

Thats becuz there isnt for att yet. Therr are over the airs for 5.0 but nothing else. And the update to 5.1 but its stock and unrooted you have to be rooted im sure for that and using flashfire for it so it just changes rom and not bootloader . Allowing you to still downgrade back.
