I Hi everyone.
Can I get some help please.
I have Moto X 2014 Pure Editions (XT1095)
Every time I use Waze, after about 30 min. "every time it's different", phone starts to slow down, then UI stops responding. Screen goes back.
After about 10min it could go normal or needs a restart.
It started after I upgraded to 5.1
Running stock 5.1.
Thanks for the help in advance. [emoji106]

I have a T-Mobile Moto X running 4.4 with an unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed with ART. Today, while taking exams, I felt my phone getting really hot in my pocket and after exams were done, I checked my battery usage to find that Android OS, which normally takes up about 15~25 percent of my battery, was taking up 41% of my battery. I also checked Wakelock Detector, which revealed that "GsmInboundSmsHandler" kept my phone awake for over 3 hours. I searched this up on Google, which only revealed some code, and then I searched it up on xda, which revealed that it had something to do with my voice mail. This makes sense as somebody called me and left me a voice mail, but I checked my voice mail and deleted it right before taking my exam, so the voice mail was only there for about half an hour while the problem persisted for over 3 hours. Also, I placed 2 calls that lasted about a minute long after my exams, and somehow, that combined with my call to voice mail drained 23% of my battery.
Any light on this situation would be greatly appreciated.
If someone could report this to Moto... It doesn't seem like a widespread issue as Google brings up nothing.

Do you use tmobile visual voice mail or other tmobile app?
I used to have that too, but after uninstall it, you'll be fine. Don't know if greenify will work or not, but I figured I don't really need tmobile's app.

For me it happens even without any visual voicemail apps. What truly impressed me is that even with this wakelock, I was still able to get around 20hrs with around 4.5 hours of screen time.

Did this happen allot of times? One time? Sometimes things just get stuck. Reboot, fixed.

The problem seems to have gone away and no, I do not have the visual voicemail installed. I was just hoping that somebody could give advice on how to prevent this in the future, but I think a reboot would have worked.
I'm running the TMO kangkat ROM on Bell. I get this wakelock after I receive a SMS quite often. Not sure how to prevent it. Don't see any TMO apps anywhere.

I too am getting this wakelock. I can reproduce it by calling my phone and leaving a voicemail. Thus far the only way I have been able to get rid of it is to check voice mail to clear the indicator and the reboot.
I should note this is on AT&T using a developer edition phone. Kit Kat was installed via an OTA. Phone is rooted via TWRP method but is otherwise stock.
FYI. I switched from ART to dalvik today to install xposed and the wakelock still occurs when I get voicemail. So it's not an ART problem. I tried clearing cache and dalvik cache again and no luck either. Switching default sms app didn't have an effect.
It looks like the update to 4.4.2 has fixed this issue for me. Made a call to my phone. Left voicemail and no wakelock this time.
I have same problem. Did anyone find a solution?

Same problem here. Did anyone find a proper solution? gsminboundsmshandler ist preventing my Moto G (KK 4.4.4) from going into deep sleep mode.
Hey, guys
When I first updated to Kit Kat, about a month ago, my battery saving option stopped working, I kept turning it on but it turned itself off everytime I close the battey settings, so I contacted moto care and the attendant told me to factory reset the phone and so I did. I fixed my problem until yesterday when I realized that the battery saving wasn't working anymore, I tried to reboot the phone, to activate every app I have desactivated and reboot again, but nothing did the trick and I don't want to factory reset my phone again and every time this happens, so I was thinking maybe someone here can help me. I'm on stock 4.4, locked, no root.
If you disabled moto assist you have to enable it and update it in play store.

Hi ,
I have the Moto X a little over 7 months. I used the Touchless at first, but soon stopped . The bit I decided to go back to using since released more commands to the language of my country ( PT- BR ) .
After starting the Touchless , use the command and exit , while trying to use again , it opens the Touchless , but when I say the command, it does not even detect , lock applications and then restarts . When he comes back , I can use 1 time again and then he stops.
Use the ROM Retail EN 4.4.2 with root , unlocked bootloader and Xposed from the beginning and never had problems with it . I just reinstall the ROM via RSD , because I thought it might be something I did that caused this, but even with the ROM without modification , the same happens .
I did not find anything similar on the Internet . Can anyone tell me what might be happening?
--- Edit
I've just noticed that after playing or give some pause in the audio received direct Whatsapp , it also hangs . If the screen off , not care any more, until it restarts and goes back to normal .
I have the XT1058 .
Update
I made this video below after calling the Touchless the second time, that's when it crashes (like when I give pause in the audio Whatsapp) and he gets so until restart.

If you did rsdlite and touchless froze and rebooted phone BEFORE you installed a single app or rooted.....it may be a hardware issue. Especially if it happens with another app doing audio tasks.
If you did rsdlite and installed apps first, then tried it....its an app causing it.
So make sure you've tried it after a fresh install and zero apps installed.....and before you flash custom recovery. If it does the same thing, try just installing whatsapp....see if it still does it. If so....probably some sort of hardware issue.
Good luck!

Hi,
My 1st Gen Moto G has undergone system upgrade (as Motorola made it available) to lollipop 5.0.2 by end of April 2015. Everything was fine after this upgrade, except I noticed 3-4 times that the mobile just simply powers off when it was in standby mode. Suppose, I wake up in the morning and tried to make the screen on by pressing the power button, but it did not start. Then I realised the phone is switched off. It happened in the first week after upgrade and only 3-4 times which then I forgot as by 20th May it didn't happen. Then suddenly for last 7 days it became rampant. On 21st, it happened 4 times. - mostly when it is on standby mode. Once it happened as the mobile was just restarted - so it happens when not in standby mode as well. Then once I rebooted it by holding power and vol lower button together for 120 sec. Then it ran for almost 2 and half days without the issue. Then suddenly yesterday it was powered off again
Can anyone suggest anything? It seems to be software issue as this issue was not there before the upgrade. Is it a bug of Lollipop 5.0.2? Is there any resolution for this? Can I downgrade my phone OS to Kitkat 4.4.4 as it was before the issue?

Any suggestion would be helpful. Due to rampant shutdown - the phone has become unreliable. I frantically check after every 5 min if the phone is switched on.
Thanks in advance,

Ohhh. Thanks. I didn't know. Is there any option to yank it and post it there. Or Should I go there and post a duplicate query?
Hi all.
After upgrading to Paranoid Android (titan) 5.1 I very often experience a device block.
It happens that I try to wake the device to do some operations, but after swiping the curtain I only see a black screen.
Today I made a call, but after the first ring it suddenly became blocked in the way I told, and I can't still restart it.....
I'm trying to install again the rom, but I think it's a big problem for this rom....
Same here
