[Q] root problems! help!

HELP!!! Have rooted my phone using the program from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1914673
When I've used this root method and I typ "adb root" in the command window on the computer it says "adbd cannot run in production builds" mening that it aint rooted. Same when I tried to flash over the Clockwork from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1918966 it says that my phone aint rooted. BUT I have used super user several times and other rooted apps and checked my root status with various of programs.
Please can someone help me and tell me how to fix this, I want to flash over the clockwork.
thx
Anyone plz?
That's what's meant to happen. You do have root but adb root doesn't work on stock ROMs. You need to a adb shell and then su.

Just reroot with bin4ry's latest root tool. It fixes the issue. Some roms still use the old root files where there's an issue when you mount rw, forcing your phone to reboot.

I've tried rerooting with bin4ry's latest v30 root, but I have tried several times, but in Superuser app I get the same thing : su binary not found and then I've unistalled the Superuser application, and flashed from CWM the SuperSU.zip from Chainfire, now SuperSU is working, BUT I have the same problem : the phone reboots when mounting.
What should I do?
Thanks
Might not work but try binary v26

Ok I will try it now.
L.E. : Thank you, it worked!
Yesterday was working fine, but now isnt working anymore the only difference is that I've installed through CWM the PureX soundMOD. Guess I have to reroot again? ) Any other solutions?
Solution :
adb shell
su
stop ric
then mount system with root explorer and delete /system/bin/ric
After that OTA doesn't work anymore.
Am I the only one who has this problem? Today after trying to paste an apk to system/app , forced reboot, and then another one after the SONY logo.
What should I do to get rid of this idiot problem?

Same problem here. Root Explorer to change R/W of /system, or copy a fire there make a reboot. Just re-root with Easy rooting Toolkit for XPEIRA Z SO-02E (ver 1.0.2) and works fine by far now, but not sure if it will happen again. (Rooted with bootloader BLOCKED)
I got another problem now, I've fully unrooted the phone with the SuperSU option, and now neither of rooting variants works. They stuck at here :
http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/8058/24461260.png
So no root with those methods, it worked by flashing through CWM the SuperSu.zip, but still I get forced reboots. I don't know what to do. Guess the only option is to do a full wipe, but I don't want to do that.

When you stuck there, try this: kill process adb.exe with task manager. Good luck.
Will try it when I get home. Thanks for the quick answers.
Not working : /system/bin/sh: can't create /sys/kernel/uevent_helper: Permission denied
Ok nice ...
Maybe I will reflash the firmware and do a full wipe, but I will stay like that for a while. Thank you anyway!

Can't mount system as r/w on rooted device

Hi. I will try to give as much info as possible so bare with me.
I have a Sony Z1 C6903 on build 14.3.A.0.757 Android 4.4.2
I rooted it using a prerooted firmware method with duel recovery (I think by doomlord not 100%) which involved downgrading my firmware back to Jellybean then rooting it and then flashing the prerooted firmware ect..
The root method worked perfectly and my device is fully working, but just recently I tried installing the features for the camera from the Z2 which involves moving the apk to the system/app folder but none of the apps can mount my system as r/w, I have tried ES File Explorer, Root Explorer, Total Commander and even TWRP's built in file manager and all of which are granted root access by SuperSU but won't mount the system as r/w.
I checked with root checker and it says I'm rooted and all other root apps seem to be working fine. I also have an LG G-Pad 8.3 on kitkat rooted and a Samsung Galaxy S2 on Cyanogenmod 11 both of which can mount the file system as r/w and I've rooted a lot of other devices with no issue.
One thing that doesn't make a lot of sense is that none of the apps can mount system as r/w on my Z1 yet if I tell SuperSU to install itself to the system from its own menu it works with no problem.
I just need a solution to this issue and would rather not reroot it again as the root method for this device is a pita, it's also worth mentioning that I can't unlock the bootloader on my device to root it that way as my phone has "Unlock Bootloader Allowed:" set to No.
Thanks.

I'm not sure but it sounds like you're using an older version of recovery that didn't allow full root.
Try flashing the latest version of NUT's XZDualRecovery (Z1-lockeddualrecovery2.7.123):

Just upgraded the recovery. All went well but still having the same issue

@dan-youd
You can try this:
Download this UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip from chainfire, copy the zip on your phone reboot into recovery and flash it.
Just tried it now. TWRP wouldn't flash it because it wouldn't mount the system but CWM flashed it no problem. Got back into the OS and still same problem

[Q] How do i fix un root?

I'm new to this guys. A quick run down is this.
Downloaded rom manager pro, root explorer, titanium back up and mobile odin pro. Along with the relevant cf root file zip and followed instructions.
Rooted s3 no problem.
Uninstalled and then re installed superSU through play store. No problem.
Through rom manager, made a back up through TWRP.
Flashed the galaxy project onto phone no problem.
Now superSU is saying i need the SU binary installed.
Rom manager can't find any back ups. Root checker is saying that my phone is not rooted which explains why titanium back up isn't able to do anything.
So now i'm thinking lets start fresh...go back to odin and re root. Well Odin CANNOT see my phone in download mode. Only when the phone is in normal operating mode it can be seen which is really weird. When i went into settings to look at <about device> i can no longer see the imei number or whatever it was. Not even sure if thats normal.
So.....What have i done wrong?? and how am i able to salvage this?
Can anyone help??
Uninstall SU reboot then reinstall reboot and all should be well

I have also tried removing the battery for 10 minutes...still no good.
Unistall the update, then re-install and reboot
Flash this update (the zip file) for supersu in twrp and enjoy
http://download.chainfire.eu/452/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip
sorry to be a pain mate but odin is not recognising my phone when in download mode. Not sure but i think this is a soft brick?
If your trying to fix supersu you can flash that zip in TWRP. I'm not sure how to fix Odin problems.

[Help] c6903 post root issues

Hey guys
I am a beginner and after going through many threads here i finally rooted by xperia z1 C6903 using kingroot.
The phone rooted successfully......even checked by root checker.
The problem is some app does not work properly for example greenify does not hibernate anything.......supersu or super user displays error while installing (asking for reboot) ,,,busy box shows error while installing (choose different location).
can some one help me in assessing that ( is my phone rooted properly),
however king root grants are successful.
phone: xperia z1 telecom de version
os: 4.4.4
14.4.A.0.157
rooted in the same condition without any downgrade

u have to replace the provided su of kingroot into chainfire's SuperSU.
And how can this be done?
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Forums Pro.
flash SuperSU from recovery, it should delete kingroot and install SuperSU on it and then restart, open the app and then update binary normal way.

for your Z1 use Nut's dual recovery, its the best and easy to install and there is lots of instructions available ! you can get the package from nut's website, (http://nut.xperia-files.com/ click XZDualRecovery -> 2.8.20 -> take Z1-lockeddualrecovery2.8.20-RELEASE.installer.zip NOT flashable and download it...
installing SuperSU delete the one you have, you need flashable version wich can be located here https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
then just put it to your sd card and reboot to recovery, from recovery select install zip from sd card, select that supersu file you just put in there and install it, then just reboot and done.
Thank u soo much Migidid bro.....I followed the said procedure and successfully installed dual recivery and supersu, Thanks alot once again, i wanna donate..............love andorid...love sony
Just press thanks button and we're cool
