If you can go to Settings > About Phone > System Version and tell me what that says I can help more.
Also if you could possibly pull the update that'd be great. Have to be rooted to pull it though.

My version is the same.
I give up now I will get a update one day. 1 way or another my RAZR I will be updated.
And truth is that although I have moaned about the update the RAZR I on 4.0.4 is still very fast and smooth and the only thing I don't like about the RAZR I is no toggle switches in the notification drop down as a result I always have to go to my home screen. Other then that I think its a very good phone.

Network doesn't matter. It's a rolling update going by whatever Motorola pleases.
Wiping data was the best way to make sure you lose whatever was pushed to your device. Not going to find it again until its pushed to everyone.
Got the update 39001 retail en gb update,
improved hdr mode on camera and option to press and hold key to launch instead of instant on.
Some speed updates to browser, chrome installed by default.
Other stuff can't remember.

Pulling an update is not hard.. use a Root Explorer app and copy the update's .zip file from ~/cache/ to your sdcard, and then to your computer to upload.

Not usually something that gets stickied, it was common knowledge on the DROID RAZR so I assume wrong
Fair enough, came here from three Sony Ericsson phones, never once got an ota, just full updates so it's new to me. File path makes sense though, I'm sure a UK user will post soon.

I was just wondering if it would have the latest update or if there is a way to verify it. I think it's a moot point since its a auto pushed update but I thought to ask. Thanks !

Most likely it is the original firmware, but it should auto update on its own. You can verify the version by looking at your device using the Chromecast app from Play Store. Just remember to disconnect your router from the internet if you want to keep an older version of the firmware so you can cast local stuff.
Thanks for your response ! What would be the new update? Is rooting possible with new update ?

The new updates disabled local streaming and rooting. So far I haven't seen any advantages with rooting it.

Update may make your performance a touch better, especially for older TVs. I haven't noticed any difference. I wouldn't do it.
But wouldnt rooting it allow streaming from any source? (Any app or browser etc? Thanks !

Maybe one day, but for now rooting doesn't really do anything other than give you shell access via telnet and allow you to block updates to preserve root for possible future benefits...
Does anyone know what update this is? System preferences doesn't have any updates available, but I woke up to it this morning. Running 4.4 rooted via slapmymoto and wondering if it's safe to take.

system 140.45.5.ghost_verizon.en.US
build 13.11.1Q2.X-69-3
kernel 3.4.42-xline-gf57cf5b
had to change your link to http. Otherwise there isn't very much info to go on. What phone do you have exactly? Moto x gsm, carrier version?
Edit: Ok, verizon version. I have exact same system build and kernel, except i have an extra "Verizon" in system version.
I would take the update if it was me. What could it hurt?
You are rooted for what reason?

Pull the ota and uploaded to gdrive or drop box share link. Follow instructions on this thread to find ota since you have root. But don't take the ota because you will lose root and might not get it back.

For those of you wanting the recovery file for AT&T either because your phone has stopped working while rooting or just to keep yourself covered, here you go. Credit to @br3w3r as he spent a lot of time last night helping me get this done when my phone stopped working.
YOU MUST USE THE ODIN FILE LINKED HERE. ANY OTHER WILL NOT WORK.
Trying to use any other will result in a model mismatch failure.
Download the June firmware here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572369242688242
Necessary version of Odin - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572369242688248
Credit to @Venom0642 for the updated links!
Standard process. Open Odin, put your phone in download mode, select the firmware as AP, hit start and let Odin do it’s thing. Saved my bacon when I got stuck with an issue last night.
very much appreciated, i couldnt update due to being on a different carrier then at&t. Im still on the original firmware when the phone came out.

Yeah, my bank isn't fond of these types of payment methods either. And honestly, pulling out my phone is no easier than pulling out my wallet. And my wallet won't shatter if I drop it fumbling around. Either way, same amount of steps. It's a cool novelty but that's about it (to me personally). But if anyone does test it, I'll definitely update the post to say definitively one way or the other for those who love Samsung Pay.

I would wait for someone to post one specific to the 930A. This is for the 935A and as far as I know they're not interchangeable. So I would wait for a post on the 930A (which I'll do if I find firmware for one and someone verifies it works), or wait for someone to verify this worked on theirs.

I think he means after flashing back to this firmware. I have seen other users posting that it seems to result in Samsung Pay working but haven't seen anyone claiming to have actually used it. I'll update the OP once someone states they got it to function at a store after flashing back to stock.
So far, having root for certain disables it unless @sy7hf7tgtgrf found a method that no one else has yet.

Haven't tested at a store yet but will try to soon. I am on the stock firmware you uploaded so no root here.
I've noticed that somethings aren't fully working correctly though.
A lot of AT&T's modifications seem to be missing.
For one I can't really setup my Visual Voicemail now, and some sections in device settings are a bit different.
Pretty sure all is fine though.

It actually had the opposite effect for me funnily enough on VVM. I never was able to get it working after buying the phone and it was a pleasant surprise to find it working on this firmware. It had always given me an error about contacting AT&T because it seemed my plan didn't support it (though it did). Never followed up though as I very rarely use the phone for calls. Also was happy to see a toggle for LTE was added instead of having to dig in the settings to turn it on or off! All the stock AT&T apps seem to be there for me, though I'm not sure on the modifications. It's noticeably faster in Geekbench than it was the day I bought it, which leads me to believe maybe this is indeed stock, but before AT&T messed with it much. I hope you can get VVM working. But do keep us posted on the results of Samsung Pay in store!
MUST use the files linked. Saved my A$$ so listen to him...hahaha!

Well, in general pretty good, but took some tweaking and uninstall/reinstall of some apps. Battery life seems noticeably improved, though it's only been a day. The issues I've encountered though are as follows:
Google Maps location sharing: My fiancee and I both travel a lot so we share our locations with each other. After the update, she was always being shown at home on my phone, but the web version of Maps showed her correct location, so I knew it wasn't on her end. I ended up having to clear Map data in settings which fixed the issue.
My Nest Doorbell was not accurately detecting me as home vs. away. I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and now it works fine.
Alarm Clock Xtreme Pro was not waking the screen during the alarm. Again, had to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to properly request wake screen permission.
Has anyone had any issue with router crashing when connecting to 5ghz?
It actually kicks all devices of saying connected/no internet. When I disconnect from 5ghz and go to other band it works fine.

It actually happened when I clean flashed Android 10 and restored with smart switch. I deleted the restored WAP and logged back in and it's fine now. I saw a few articles about this.
I tried to flash a clean install because I think original att install was a little buggy because of wifi I had . But when I flash it starts but then fails because it can't connect to com port any idea. I am not new at this just never had this issue before it says its connected. Thanks

What version of Odin are you trying to use?
Did you install the drivers for the device?
What type of usb port, cable?
3.14.1 and yes drivers are updated. Cable that came with the phone Odin shows its connected stays that way all the way through then says failed couldn't connect to port.
