HI,
I am looking for a 5.1.1 based rom that has Ok google everywhere working when screen is off.
I have tired quite a few of them and different Gapps but seems that Ok google everywhere is broken.
I cannot record the ok google command. It always says there is some noise. ( inspite of being in a very silent room )
However Ok google works in the google search app and nova launcher .
Any suggestions.

Yes.
Will test it out
works on terminus as well, screen off. but it should be working on all custom roms, unless a custom rom broke it.

@simms22 , Thanks for the comment.
I was only testing out the CM based roms and okgoogleeverywhere does not work in any of the recent one. Could be something recent has broken it.
However I tested ASOP based ones and in all of them ( slim rom and purenexus ) it works well...
I am dont know how to figure the issue out with CM roms. Hopefully someone will..
@Evolution_Tech thanks . I tested it and it works

cm is a constant work in progress, so its normal for cm to break things, only to fix them later on. besides, last november it wasnt working on aosp either, then we found that aosp was missing certain files to make it work, by default. since then, its always worked on aosp.
I tired flashing those files that was posted in another thread but did not make a difference.
I guess it was asop only.

it was aosp, but that was for android version 5.0 as well. but cm could be missing completely different files.
Works for me everywhere except screen off when not on charge. Slim rom

I am psyched to try it with Slimbean. To flash a new kernel, do I need to wipe anything first, or is a dirty flash sufficient? I will make a nandroid first, just to make sure everything is copacetic. Exactly what does ION/PMEM give us that we did not have? Besides finally being able to upgrade to the latest build of Maps?

Well, I just installed it and it seems fine. The phone is definitely faster. I will try to upgrade maps. Skype I'm leaving with the old version for other reasons.
It's like a new phone.... So smooth and fast. Wow! Still restarts if I try to start USB download mode, but I suspect I would have to reload the rom to fix that and it's not a big enough problem. It's too bad I lost my little startup screen android, but such is life.
Oops. Wi-Fi is no good. I will see if I hit the 4g ceiling. I suspect I will. Last time I went without Wi-Fi I hit the ceiling in a week. I don't want to wipe anything before I install, as this is my work phone.
Camera works but camcorder does not. So, seemingly the same problems others have had. I honestly did not try the camcorder with the old kernel, though.

I have been looking for an optimized T-Mobile WiFi calling ROM, looks like no body cares about this feature because it is only few ROMS using this feature. its only available in stock(or stock based ROMs?). its added in by tmobile, and not open sourced(yet?). and the majority of ROMs are based on aosp, and the code wasnt put into aosp(yet?). so if you want WiFi calling, you'd have to use stock, or m.

The wifi calling bits aren't part of AOSP, a few people have tried to "reverse engineer" it, but with limited success from what I understand. I think part of the problem is finding a developer that has T-Mobile. Being that some of our devs are from all around the world, and even the ones in the US are likely not going to have T-Mobile. This makes their testing slower and/or harder.
I think there are a few that are still working on it, but I don't think it is a major focus of anyone. I know a couple have sorta given up on it.
tl;dr - No custom AOSP (or variations of it) currently have it that I know of, stock ROMs are the only ones (plural because this includes M dev preview) that offer the functionality.

No. Just about any ROM that has been updated in the past month or so should have it built in. The OP of every ROM should state if it includes it, and if it doesn't then there is a good chance it doesn't.
Just as a note, kernels also matter for getting wifi calling to work as well, if you decide to flash a different than what is included with the ROM.

You'll find WiFi calling in Dirty Unicorns, and in PureNexus as has been already noted, plus Chroma, I believe Minimal OS, AOSiP, as well as most stock based custom roms (include Gapps)...from what I can tell, no Cyanogenmod based rom has it...I'm sure there are others.
Best to flash and try it before fully setting up the rom itself. Here is why...if the feature is important to you, it can take a bit of tweaking to make sure it works...for starters, if going the AOSP route, you'll need a WiFi calling kernel (Lean kernel version 2.10.6 works perfectly), a proper T-Mobile WiFi calling modem, and those include 14R, 16R and 17R...and sometimes you'll need to toggle WiFi calling on and off, reboot, and you also may need to dive into developer options and flip the switch aggressive WiFi to cellular handover.
Good luck!

No, I tried looking for a how to or something on it, I might try some time, I don't know exactly what it entails.

@superfes
Thanks for releasing unofficially CM12.1. I'm using it since yesterday and its working fine so far. However, I get settings fc sometimes and mostly on bootup.
Another issue is with camera focus on micro shots which makes the device force reboot. It was present in cm12 long ago but it was solved or vanished later. Now seems to be back on CM12.1
Of course without a log, we cannot figure out these issues so I will post it asap here.
Btw; thanks for including d2s feature in the kernel. I have been missing it for long on official CM ROMs.

Tested IR and its working fine, including recording. I'm using latest version of Smart IR Remote - AnyMote.
Best Regards
For some reason I wasn't able to receive calls. They said it rang once then went to voicemail. IR also wasn't working through peel but I never really use it. Other than that OMG the ROM! This is the only CM rom that doesn't have issues with my FFC on official CM it has a weird tint to it with every app

Everything works great other than the camera. Same issue as most here, using the camera most of the time results in a reboot of the phone.
Flashing the 2015-6-22 build right now! I'll update after it's been tested.
update: the camera seems to work fine, and doesn't cause reboots now. But I get random reboots just out of the blue. And that was happening before the update. But issues with the camera seem to be fixed. So that's awesome!
I'm gonna transition from official cm12 nightlies to this build. I am also gonna try the 20150602 cm 12.1 gapps build (located on http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps) since this is a newer version..hope it works. will try to post any issues. If you don't hear from me, assume it is working great! Thanks for this build superfes.
OK loaded fine with newest version gapps, so far so good
I too confirm that force reboot in camera focus is now fixed. Thanks a lot.
However, wake features are no longer available. Looks like you have changed the kernel.
Can we use the kernel from the previous build of yours?

Hi
I like this rom so far, but I was hoping to reinstall the Beats sound back. I downloaded the apk, but it says an error when I try to install. The music through the speakers sound rather tinny without it. Has anyone installed Beats or anything similar to improve the sound quality?
Thank you.
So I have been using this rom since the 25th as a daily driver, I actually have had only 1 random reboot (unlike on the cm12 rom I had previously where it would reboot almost every day) Camera seems to work flawless where some have reported that it reboots but is def fixed.
I am having one major issue where I get no service 90% of my day, and I only get an exclamation point next to my service bars. The only way to *sometimes* get it back is by going into my mobile network settings and toggling the preferred network type back and forth from global/CDMA + LTE/EvDo/EvDo only/CDMA w/o EvDo/GSM only (where GSM only was to force it out of the proper net type and back in so I could toggle it back to CDMA base right after) And sometimes that didnt even work. I would also toggle airplane mode on and off with similar results. It is quite frustrating. Does this have anything to do with the fact that I never updated my stock radio/kernel? Does anybody know a fix to this? GPS also isn't working (and hasn't been for over a year)
Other than that everything else is working great, best CM12+ rom out so far! Please, if anyone knows of a solution to my connection issues please share! Thanks!
Hello! I want to switch from Sony Lollipop 5.1.1 to a stable AOSP based rom. I tried CyanogenMod 12.1 and AOSP Jaguar but I experienced screen freezes and general lag that makes me to go back to stock rom. It is a problem with my device or it is a problem with AOSP roms? Tethering was only broken on two nightly builds when 7.1.1 was merged. It's been fixed on 'stock' CM-kernel.
I'm on the latest lightly and with the default kernel it's broke for me, even on a clean install. Weird..... Lol

I had it working great today after struggling with the nightly that would crash on install, from a few weeks back. Got newer nightly and flashed, and worked awesome. Then dumbass me, saw the available CM update from the built in updater. Did that and completely borked my phone. Could not read from storage to even go back to a saved backup. Asked for password then rebooted to recovery. Every time, wipes did not fix. Maybe if I lurked on here on a daily basis I would have not made the mistake but it was unhealthy dose of stress from my daily driver. I got it alive again but it is a secret. Now I'm stock and unrooted and my wife said "I told you not to root it, again"...face palm.

My plan is to stick with the last CM 13.0 nightly until OmniROM 7.x hits.
I've been testing it for a while but was not stable and some bugs, so I switched to Nitrogen OS. Much better now.
No need to use another ROM. The last CM-14.1 nightly is stable and usable as daily driver.
We are transitioning our work to LineageOS. If we have everything running you need to flash it once manually....after that ther will be an updater like cmupdater.
