Suddenly since last night On screen buttons stopped responding.
They arent responsive and have to tap them multiple times before getting some response.
But rest of the screen response is doing perfect.
My phone hasnt been dropped even once nor any other physical damage.
Caring it a lot since I bought it.
Yesterday morning I performed a factory reset from safe mode.
My phone just has whatsapp installed and nothing else.
I dont want to send my phone to xperia center as they will flash it to the buggy lollipop which I dont want to.
What could have caused the issue???

Dear all,
my phone has been behaving all strangely this morning. Since this morning the phone will not go into standby. Also, I cannot end phone calls that have been ended by the other party. Only a soft-reset will fix that.
It feels as though I dropped it a little too hard this morning (although nothing happened that I remember). I can easily turn off the phone, however, by holding the power button long enough. How strange is this?

And another thing
The phone does not register when I open up the keyboard. I need to manually do that lame "turn my screen bij 90 degrees" thing. It worked fine last night.

Did you install some software before it happened?
I'd suggest a backup and hard reset...
Ok so like 10 minutes ago i was charging my phone..... all of a sudden my phone lights up and goes black, so i thought someone had called me and my phone lagged out or w/e and just acting weird so.... long story short when i press any buttons you can see it flicker on and off the lights that lite up the buttons and at the same time the screen goes from the lock screen to the time screen to the power off screen. never did that before... question is
short circut?
ROM?
please note that i do work with my phone in my pocket and i build homes so wood does press against the phone... but again, never had a problem before...
flash
I doubt that where you work has anything to do with it. I had a moto rizr. It took over a year at a shipyard for it to hit its last strides. I suggest rewipe and flash and see what happened after that.
If a wipe and flash doesn't work, I wouldn't even bother trying to fix it yourself unless it is out of warranty. Contact T-Mobile, and they should be able to set you up with a new one.
I say it a program that eventually became corrupted a flash will work.
Hi guys,
I recently got my Xperia Z back from repair. I had it in because when I pressed the power button to unlock it, sometimes the screen would stay black and I wouldn't be able to see anything, but I could still use the touchscreen.
So I got my phone back with a new LCD screen and it's been a week now and it hasn't had that problem at all, but I'm having another problem.
My phone is randomly controlling itself. When I unlock it, every once and a while it starts pressing all the buttons on the screen. Opening up the task manager, swiping left and right, opening up the camera, etc. Just going completely haywire.
So to fix it, I tried a factory reset, but that didn't work. Then I got a new update for android, and for about a day it worked perfectly but now it's back at it again and controlling itself, pressing all the buttons etc. I had an alarm set this morning and I couldn't even turn it off because of it.
It's completely stock, I haven't even tried flashing or rooting or anything like that, and I'm running Android 4.4.4. Model number is C6603.
Anyone know what could be causing the problem?

there is some issue with touch calibration or some issue with the digitizer.

Well it happens before I even touch anything on the screen, so would that point to the problem being the digitizer?
Hello, I have my moto G 2014 for about 2 weeks now (full stock, never even connected it to the PC). A few days ago sometimes when I lock my phone by pressing the power button the touchscreen becomes unresponsive. The side buttons both work but nothing happens as I tap the screen, I can't unlock it or shut down. Then, out of nowhere it starts to work briefly, and I can shutdown only, not unlock.
But this time it rebooted and remained unresponsive, I can input 2 of the pin numbers and then it goes unresponsive... RMA?
Thank you
This dont look like a problem before..... You seem to be the first one with this problem. Have you ever dropped your phone? Or installed something wierd? Can you also tell what you did before when this problem came?
The phone is imaculated, never droped it. The first signs were after I installed Swiftkey, the key to change between numbers and symbols was not responding. Now sometimes the screen is all unresponsive, other times the top bar can be accessed, other times the menu keys don't work. I did a factory reset, after much struggle to get to the Config. menu, rebooted to the same issue.

I wouldn't loose to much time, trying to hunt down the problem. Sounds like the digitizer is broken. Unless you use your phone only while connected to the charger. Most chargers will emit a low electrical field that makes it almost impossible to operate the touchscreen. If this is not the case, replace the device.
It's not connected to anything right now, the top bar and 3 menu buttons are working but the rest is dead, can't swipe the screen or select any app, not even the app drawer. I guess it's RMA time.
Yea seems like a good idea, its a great device. I hope your warranty is still working
Over the past few weeks my phone has become more and more unstable. Freezing to where the phone doesn't respond at all. On-screen buttons, volume, even holding down the power button doesn't respond. Typically it is followed by a reboot shortly after. I thought it was an app I was running, but this morning it happened when nothing but Chrome was in my recent apps. So as any good android user is to do, I performed a factory reset. After the reset I began setting up and got to the point I connected to WiFi and sure enough it freezes, but not just freezes, displays a screen of snow. This has happened before taking up 1/4 to 1/3 of the screen, but never the whole display. Seeing as how I hadn't even got past the welcome screen I'm at the point I feel this is a hardware fault. Thoughts?
