Maybe it's just me, but it seems like it slows down and warms up my phone. I know we can freeze it with Titanium Backup, but do we know what it does? And are there any drawbacks to disabling it? I've already denied it root access.
It's part of T-Mobile "diagnostics" tool, it's good to disable it. It probably was scanning your phone for private info *cough* I mean for issues.

It's to determine if your phone is rooted because if someone calls in to tech care and they're rooted, there's only so much we can do. I'm in tech care. I work first hand with it. It doesn't scan for private info. Don't be that guy.

As it says in every thread relevant to root "it'll void your warranty"
I mean to be real, it's just a "tsk tsk, don't come to us if you mess up your phone" POV.
We're not going to be like "ermergerd your phone is rooted, you're the devil. We're cancelling you account". I don't recommend it if you're a T-Mobile customer because I'm not going to be liable, but to each their own!

Hard to tell! There's normally about 600-700 people staffed in tech care alone at times. Im out of Springfield Mo so be on the lookout!

I mean request not to call in. There's a metric we're based on and if someone calls in within 48 hours after they talked to us, even to pay their bill, it counts against us is what I meant. But damn, isn't that the truth. Go T-Mobile! Only thing I can ask for further is a promotion.

I was talking to AT&T business customer service regarding my account. Before i got off the phone i asked a question regarding the availability of WM6 for the treo 750. He said the upgrade is out and available to all thier retail stores in effort to upgrade the existing stock of Treo 750 with WM5 to WM6 in preperation for the arrival of the new TREO 750 with WM6 included. At least somebody here gets the point I was trying to make. The bottom line is that there is no way of knowing what AT&T, or Verizon, Or T-Mobile, or anyone is going to do at any time. It does not matter what anyone says here. If I create a fake avatar with the AT&T logo and pretend I am the CEO of AT&T and tell you it will be released tomorrow, will you believe me? If you do, what happens when it does not show up? I truly appreciate any info anyone gives here...HONESTLY I DO!!! I just happen to think this is all very funny, so I am trying to lighten things up.

So I'm getting married in 2 months and I'm a T-Mo rep so in essence I live and breath phones. It's just my thing I've been a phone nerd since I started working at T-Mo and got my first Dash. So I was taking a nap before I needed to head to work this afternoon and had a crazy ass dream. I dreamed about my wedding. At some point I was talking with the preacher who is to officiate the wedding and he told me I couldn't get married because he doesn't do 2.1 weddings. My immediate reaction was in shock asking him why he wasn't compatible with Google's Android 2.1 build and if I really had to revert to 1.6 to have the wedding done. Yeah I know weird but I woke up laughing and realizing I might have a problem..

Every time I hear a Motorola Droid user complain when another android user calls his/her phone a Droid, it makes me blood bubble.
So in all fairness I shall never call my phone a Droid again if you (Motorola Droid users) agree to never call a airplane a plane.

I agree. I call peoples "Droid" branded motorola devices Droids, but I happen to use the device id for every phone that I can recognize. If I can't recognize the make or model I simply call it a smartphone or "device" in general. I also correct people when they call their android powered devices Droids in general. I am kind of an ass like that

It ticks me off when people say Droid because of the fact it's a LucasFilm name exclusively licensed by Verizon. The world doesn't rotate around Big Red, even though their customers seem to think it does. Verizon's reality distortion field bugs me greatly. It's half hilarious/half sad. I live in an area with very poor Verizon coverage. I know so many people with Verizon who complain constantly about poor service. When I ask them why they don't switch to AT&T they say... get this... "because Verizon has the best coverage/network/service/whatever." Sure, that's true in New York, San Francisco, D.C. But it's VERY much the opposite here. But you can never convince a Verizon customer of that, they're so brainwashed into believing it.

I really do hope not. I know of someone who, literally through no fault of their own, killed someone whilst driving (I'd explain, but it really isn't a good story!). They've had to live with that for their whole life, and it will always be with them.

Had Nexus devices/HTCs/etc. Sold it to get an iPhone 6 (to stop my addiction). One month later, I've just sold the iPhone and about to buy a Nexus 6
Don't get me wrong, Apple do some stuff brilliantly (Touch ID is awesome!) but I just use Google's services too much

Makes sense! Looks like I'm moving at the right time, Motorola have just dropped £80 off the N6 prices until June 30th (and CPW are even cheaper for the 64GB one)

That is odd. I preferred to get from Play this time round for warranty purposes. I'm not sure its worth the extra though
