I'm a tmobile here got a s6 edge verizon version here I want to enable volte if I enable it wants to go to Verizon homepage how I go around this without root
I can think of ways to do it if you are rooted, but not without. If you have already manually configured your apn settings and it won't toggle on, it's likely that your sol.
Why you are using a locked-down vzw variant on T-mobile is the real question. Freebie?

It was a gift they didn't know so I have to go do a trade in to T Mobile
I see. Well I am sorry we couldn't offer more help, but unfortunately this is a unique predicament that likely has no good (non root) answer.

Ok... So you're thinking about buying an unlocked phone that was originally a Verizon phone but was used on T-Mobile that you want to use on AT&T? That is a bit convoluted, each vendor uses different bits of spectrum and a Verizon phone isn't a pure GSM phone such as AT&T or T-Mobile might have, I would be cautious, why not just get an unlocked AT&T device?
That being said, if it can be used on a GSM network like T-Mobile it should work on AT&T, the problem being that - as I said - each carrier uses different bits of the spectrum.
Save yourself the potential hassle and buy the proper AT&T model.
Yeah i am being cautious I'm passing on it thanks for the responses

I have a nexus 6 XT1100 when I look it up it says it does CDMA and GSM. I put my friends Sim card in just to test it out and it won't connect to Verizon? Am I doing something wrong?

Well first off, the XT1100 is the "World" model (non US). It does not have the correct radio to connect to LTE on US carriers. But you should be able to connect to CDMA and 3g. I suspect your problem may be incorrect APN settings. Do a search for "Verizon APN settings".

So would it work if I switched to T-Mobile. As far as 4g/LTE?

You may still have to modify the APN settings. But it's worth a try.

Your problem isn't that it's locked. Your problem is that it's not intended for use in the US. You need an XT1103

Well the place I got the XT1100 said they will swap it for a XT1103. So hopefully by end of next week I should have it.

I'm thinking about switching to tmobile from verizon as I'm tired of them locking all there devices and you can't do what you want. Just wondering what tmobiles policy about this is. Do they also locked there devices?

Main reason I just made that switch.

Same here, got tired of ATT locking my phone up so i made the switch and haven't been more happy. Tmo at best doesn't even mind the phone being unlocked and rooted, have read comments from people that have exchanged phones using warranty and didn't even bother to restore stock firmware.
As title states, is it possible?

For sure. I use AT&T service on the tmobile Note 4 all day. I use tethering all the time too. Never heard anything from AT&T.

Just use the phones native tethering.
It should be in your settings. No need to do anything else special.

I have always used Foxfi to tether on custom roms on AT&T phones and have not been detected as long as I only tethered an android tablet. They could detect a Windows PC unless I used a VPN.
I cannot use Foxfi on 5.1.1 roms on the N910T since it gets an error. I can run native tethering and it works fine, but have only done it a little bit since I am kind of wary about being detected - I have already been warned twice already a couple years ago. I, too, wanted to make sure it was undetectable by AT&T if I used the native tethering instead of Foxfi with its proxy.
I unlock my Samsung Note 4 T-Mobile with sim-unlock code, but I've heard that I cannot use this phone with internet 3G, 4G or LTE i'm outside US. And also I need another code to unlock this feature. I cannot check if I can use 3G Internet or not. Somebody knows that for sure?
There's no VoLTE toggle in Mobile Network Settings and the IMS Settings method doesn't work. I don't want to root the phone and honestly, we shouldn't have to jump through such hoops for this. Even the S7 works out of the box. This is embarrassing.

Did I ask about 4G? I'm talking about VoLTE. There is no VoLTE toggle in the settings.
Some people use an app that allows them to turn on or off the volte. Sorry I don't remember the app name.
