Any success in Xposed Framwork for LG G4? - Xposed General

After I installed the official version, it says no support for sdk version 22 and arm64 cpu.
I found this thread but worry about the no recovery mode and potential bootloop so didn't try further
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-5-1-successfully-t3074586
Any one has made success attempt and is there a version of xposed that works with G4?

Nope...
Not yet anyway; there is a conflict between the Xposed version of libart-compiler.so and the LG G4 version of libart-compiler.so.

Your post is now located in the xposed section:good:

Thanks for the update, wondering what are different between the sdk version 22 and arm64 ( snapdragon 808) in G4 compared to other models (M9, S6,...) as I saw there were successful stories on those.

Didn't rovo's recent framework update fix this?

At least for the G3 it does (LGCover, LGWeather, encryption issues). Not sure about the G4.

Well we are here to help each other by posting what we've done and what we would like to do or see in the future. my answer was for the person asking if the last v69 is working since the Dev said that it does work on LG devices but he didn't specify exactly which ones. so in my turn i have tried it on my phone and gave an answer to that.
here's a proper answer too

If its 5.1, then the link @marcdw posted will not work, as its for 5.0. Try mine here (make appropriate backups, etc). Otherwise I'll need a logcat to see what's going on. LG G4 is also a Snapdragon 808 and it appears to be running arm64.

Figures. It can't be a huge update. Interesting to see what the changes are too. I can't believe knock code still isn't included in this. I am running a G3 port and don't really like knock code either. It sure beats entering a code, but I just prefer to knockon from anywhere and swipe to unlock. Knock Code was too difficult when my phone is in all sorts of weird positions and angles.
the link in OP's post is 2.2GB. It took a few minutes to install on my phone, so it's not a small update like the last one.

OP's link is the full factory image, not just an OTA update. I'm guessing 27A is just a bug fixer.

It shouldn't matter when you .kdz though, it will wipe everything, and start you fresh. I didn't have any problem rooting with stump root once on 27A.

ZV7 Discussion

No, ZV7 is not out yet. But it is in development as indicated by the new RDF.
http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS991-SPRINT/LS991ZV7.rdf
Now I checked a few days ago and this wasn't here. It's also noteworthy that with the H815 getting 6.0 this might be what's coming our way. We saw something similar when ZV8 came out for the G3, it was a different version on the RDF. I'll try and poke the bear, see what I can find out.
In the meantime let the speculation begin!
I wouldn't hold my breath for M --YET-- it's way to soon. Besides inside the rdf file it says 5.1. Probably just additional security updates, and perhaps some additional enhancements like we had with ZV5 & ZV6. I do like your speculation though. ?

With M out already for the global version and it supposedly out in short order afterwards for US... Well, stranger thing have happened.
I just hope the exploits we use to DD the custom ROMs doesn't get patched with 5.1 update, could be a prep for M complete with security fixes. If so I may pass on the update and or M. Just my opinion only time will tell....
OK. G3 is now showing an update ALSO in the works. And what two devices are supposed to get M first for LG?
If that's not M it's a fix that affects them both... Stagefright's already patched so not sure what other big ones are out there.

I probably will too. If you guys haven't heard M will need you to flash a custom boot.img/kernel for root, which I imagine would almost definitely throw a secure boot error for us.

Games not available???

Ok so I restored my G2 to 26A. I'm noticing that most of the games I played before are now not compatible?? Simple games like Clash of Clans and Madden Mobile are no longer available for this phone. Anyone have any suggestions why? If my wife's phone can have it and it's older and running kitkat, why isn't it available for this phone?

Understandable, happens when u weren't in touch with sth specific for long cuz alot changes.
Install TWRP first . Then make a nandroid backup in case you ever need to go back the current state ( u dont wanna screw things up and do kdz all the way upto this) . Then download cm13, wipe data, cache, dalvik cache , do not wipe internal storage.
Thats it.

How to root LG Urbane ?

Hello,
Is there anywhere where I can find complete binaries for a root device ?
I have seen here and there partly images (boot.img, recovery.img and system.img), but on trying to flash these images the watch does not boot.
Currently it boots with Google's factory images for LG Urbane:
https://developer.android.com/wear/preview/downloads.html
Whatever I did to try and root it failed.
I am not sure why I have troubles trying to root this device (LG W200 , starting with the above factory images).
I see there were others who did it, but with their binaries nothing works on my watch.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

i found myself getting an easy and successful root with these images:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/watch-urbane/orig-development/rom-ext4all-skin1980-t3341598
even though they are like a minor update behind, the performance was better than stock + being able to disable stuff was good. just went back to stock awaiting aw 2.0 update and i am not too happy about the stock performance :/
