I'm getting the error "Unfortunately camera has stopped" when I open any camera app (stock, play store) after flashing CM 12.1-20150803-Nightly-vs980. Camera was working fine on CM 12, I updated to 12.1 using the dirty flash method. I flashed the new 5.1 gapps and phone rebooted with no problems. I wiped cache through TWRP, reseted app preferences, clear data and cache, rebooted a few times and nothing works. Anyone having the same problem or knows how to fix it? Thanks.

Hi,
I am really frustrated, after a factory reset of SlimBean 2.8, which rebooted to often, I have the described problem on my Nexus S.
I tried the above ... one of the steps of the first method described the change of DPI, I guess that is the first value you can change in the "developer options" > "LCD density" to a higher DPI ... reboot and other steps ... didn't work. The second method with clearing cache and dalvik then reinstalling OS and Gapps rebooting, then clearing data of play store and service ... reboot ... still same problem.
Then I installed the latest playstore from an APK file ... after that it tells me my device is not supported (tough it used to run on the device).
If I can't fix this, I'll switch to Cyanogen or stock possibly ROM, though I really like the SlimBean features.
Any further clues before I do this?
Thanks & regards
Joe
just flashed the latest asylum final rom and cleared the caches as normal and it keeps saying unforunately gmail has stopped working and closes as soon as it started

I ROM'ed my phone with CynogenMod 10.1.0 RC3. When I did that I got a "failure" message when I attempted to install GApps (I think it was a partial download). I continued with the ROM anyway. But now I have essentially a Factory fresh phone but I don't have Clockwork Mod or Google Play installed.
So how can I now install the correctly downloaded GApps? I also don't see how to go back to my previous ROM.
I ROM'ed my phone because I was getting the ("unfortunately, .... has stopped") for many programs again.
The problem is also that if I go to Google Play (in the browser on my phone or on my desktop PC) I can't install any of the Apps I had because they are "already installed" and anyway I don't have the Google Play downloader on my phone.
Help.
I sideloaded ClockworkMod ROM Manager.
(System Settings / check "Unkown Sources" to allow them; dowloaded the .apk and opened it with FileManager)
Used that to get ClockworkMod Recovery
Booted into Recovery and ROM'ed CyanogenMod and the correctly downloaded GAapps.
I now have a happy phone.
The real question is why these "unfortunately, .... has stopped" error messages keep coming back even after I ROM and do
- Factory Reset
- Clear Cache
- Clear Dalvik cache

Could be because of the Gapps package, I've had that problem before.

Try do a flash just without gapps, see if everything works then. If everything's fine, then flash in gapps. See if that causes any problems.
If that does cause problems, then I'm not quite sure, a fresh install fixes most problems...

I have flashed CM11 - M9 on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (I9300) freshly, doing factory reset and wiping all the data, then flashed PA Gapps Full Modular version. After booting the phone, was getting a prompt "Google Keyboard has stopped", there after was unable to get the keyboard option at all, during setting up the phone and CM account. Again, wiped, factory reset, clear cache and freshly flashed the CM11 - M9 without flashing PA Gapps this time. Booted the phone, got the setting done, noticed that Gapps are already installed in the phone. And CM stock Camera is missing
I have been using CM 11 since a long time, but issue arrived when I flashed Gapps 4.4.3 (Google Stock) to get the latest Google Play , but my CM camera has been replaced with Google Camera which sucks, thereby I have decided to reflashed my phone with CM11 - M9. Now the Stock CM Camera is missing.
Installed CynogenMod Version: 11-20140804-SNAPSHOT-M9-i9300
Someone, please suggest, how to fix this issue?? How to flash a fresh CM11 along with Gapps, which doesn't replace CM stock camera??
So I flashed twrp 3.0 in my phone and flashed the latest cm 13 nightly and open gapps, everything goes fine but after booting during the configuration wizard itself play services and play store keeps crashing (says stopped working).
I tried flashing cm13 snapshot build, Ressurection remix, tried open gapps, slimgapps, agapps,Bank's gapps. It still keeps saying "Unfortunately, the app has stopped working".
I tried flashing cm13,wiping cache, flashing gapps, still gives the same issue.
I tried flashing CM13 alone without gapps, During this it says music stopped working. when i open browser it FCs too.
This is messed up :/
I think the issue is somewhere else
Please help me sort this out, Thanks!
Try in this order
Flash CM13, flash any custom kernal that supports cm13 (Check zeus), flash su zip to root, flash gapps. After flashing in this order. reboot.
Didnt help :/
Almost all system apps force closes. (browser, camera, music, etc)
I think there is some problem with the partitions :/
Help
Update:
I have not inserterd my sdcard all this time and it caused the issue.
I inserted my sdcard back and everything came working fine.
Didnt think a simple sdcard could cause such a big problem -_-
